ACCREDITED BODIES
HRNSW fully supports the establishment of accredited bodies to represent the interests of industry participants and recommends that the participants join these representative bodies as a way to participate in the administration of the industry.
Harness Breeders NSW
As it's name suggests the Harness Breeders NSW is representative of the NSW Breeding Industry. Monthly member meetings are conducted to discuss many varied breeding issues. There are many benifits for being a member of the HBNSW association from industry magazine discounts to service benifits. Click here to find out more.

United Harness Racing Association (UHRA)
The UHRA are representative of the trainers, drivers, and owners. They have a broad range of members located in all regions of NSW.
This accredited body was heavily involved in the consultation process concerning the changes to driving fees.

NSW Mini Trotting Association
Mini trots are a mini version of harness racing sport. Junior drivers between the age of 5 and 16 years drive ponies competing in organized races at registered harness racing tracks, local shows and organized trial days. NSW Championships are held every Easter and is the principal event conducted by the association.

NSW Standardbred Owners Association
NSW newest association, the NSWSOA are a representative of harness racing standardbred owners in NSW. The association acts on behalf of owners on racing and breeding topics as well as take an active role in providing information on how to become an owner and what is involved.

CLUB STRUCTURE
Principal Club (NSWHRC)
The Principal Club is the NSW Harness Racing Club which stages its meetings at TABCorp Park Menangle. The Principal Club conducts Metropolitan Penalty events as well the majority of the State’s premier races such as the Miracle Mile, Alabar Breeders Challenge and Chariots of Fire.
TAB Meetings (Tier 1, 2 & 3)
TAB meetings are funded at three levels; Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. Tier 1 meetings carry minimum stake money of $5,500 and are conducted at Menangle Park on Tuesday as well as meetings on Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night and various other times such as Carnival of Cups meetings (“C” Class). Tier 2 meetings carry minimum stake money of $4,500 (“C” Class), while Tier 3 meetings carry minimum stake money of $3,000 (“R” Class).
Non-TAB Meetings (Tier 4)
Tier 4 meetings carry minimum stake money of $1,500 and are non-TAB. Races worth up to $1,500 are Penalty Free. Tier 4 meetings that are upgraded to Sky 2/TAB meetings have additional funding.
