Who are we insured by?
HRNSW is insured by OAMPS Insurance Brokers. OAMPS Insurance Brokers was originally Oil Agents Mutual Provident Society and was founded in 1976 when we sourced a better insurance deal for an industry association's membership. We realised then that all industries face unique challenges, and we've used this approach to develop targeted insurance deals for over 120,000 clients and 100 industry associations.
OAMPS listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1989 and grew to join the ASX Top 200 Companies List in 2004. In 2006, OAMPS became a Wesfarmers Company and is part of their Insurance Division.
Public & Products Liability
$20,000,000 any one occurrence
$2,000,000 Care custody and control (further sub limited to $200,000 and one trainer)
Excess Schedule:
- $1,000 each and every occurrence (cost inclusive) in respect of claims arising out of a licensed driver’s harness racing, trainer’s activities or mini/pony trotting claims.
- $30,000 each and every occurrence (cost inclusive) in respect of driver versus driver claims.
- $10,000 each and every occurrence (cost inclusive) in respect of all other claims.
Name of Insured:
Harness Racing NSW, including affiliated bodies, regional associations and Clubs and/or subsidiary and/or related corporations as defined under Australian Corporations Law and/or financiers and all parties for whom the Insured undertakes to insure for their respective rights, interests, inter-relationships and liabilities.
Beneficiaries:
Licensed Trainers, Drivers, Stablehands (Voluntary Workers only) of Harness Racing New South Wales including licensed visitors.
Period of Insurance:
From 4.00pm 30th June 2011 to 4.00pm 01 September 2012.
How to make a personal accident claim?
To make an injury claim, take the following steps within 30 days of the injury occurring:
- Obtain a claim form from OAMPS Sport & Leisure by calling 1800 776 781 or download it on www.oamps.com.au/harnessracingnsw Then arrange for your doctor to complete a 'medical statement.
- If claiming loss of income have the employer complete 'the member’s employment details'
- Return the completed claim form to OAMPS Sport & Leisure within 30 days of the injury occurring
How to make a public and professional liability claim
It is essential that you notify OAMPS Insurance Brokers on 1800 776 781 of any potential claim. OAMPS will then provide you with advice as how to proceed.
