Race 3, BRAZILIAN ROCKER/MAJOR CHILLI

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

MENANGLE 12^TH JUNE 2018 – RACE 3 – ALABAR NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE THREE YEAR OLD FILLIES HEAT – 1609 METRES

Stewards today finalised an inquiry into the reasons for BRAZILIAN ROCKER racing roughly passing the 350 metres. Michael Towers the Driver of BRAZILIAN ROCKER explained to Stewards that his runner had been placed in restricted racing room by MAJOR CHILLI which was racing to the immediate inside of BRAZILIAN ROCKER at that stage of the event. Ellen Rixon the Driver of MAJOR CHILLI advised Stewards that her filly had hung-out upon entering the home straight and momentarily encroached on the racing line of BRAZILIAN ROCKER. Ms Rixon further advised that once MAJOR CHILLI commenced to hang out she immediately undertook corrective action. After consideration Stewards were satisfied that the video replays of the event supported the evidence of Mr Towers and Ms Rixon and elected to take no further action other than to report the incident.
