RACE 1 – WELCOME TO ELVIS FESTIVAL PACE – 1660 metres

JUNIOR FEELGOOD – Checked when entering the first turn.  Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  Driver D Rusten explained to Stewards that after being checked in the early stages the gelding failed to travel from that point.  Stewards noted his comments and advised that it will be placed on its last chance to race truly.

SMOKEN ALICE – Was checked when entering the first turn.  Was hampered racing down the back straight when trailing weakening runners.

NEGATIVE NANCY – Pre-race blood sample. Driver G Betts was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when entering the first turn has closed down the track and restricted the racing room of JUNIOR FEELGOOD which in turn had checked the running of SMOKEN ALICE which dropped back which in turn checked the racing room of WARRADERRY which broke stride. 

OLD FARM WAY – Post-race swab sample. 

WARRADERRY – Was checked and broke stride entering the first turn.

IMPERSONATE – Was reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 2 – TELESCOPE TYRES PACE – 1660 metres

FLASH IN SAM – Was checked rounding the first turn.  Hung out when rounding the final turn after throwing its head in the air and shifting out which checked the running of KYLE SHANNON.  A warning was issued.  Post-race swab sample.  

ABERCROMBIE TAB – Was hampered rounding the first turn.

REDBANK TOMMY – Had a tendency to hang in in the early stages of the event.  

KYLE SHANNON – Checked when rounding the final turn.

IF HES LUCKY – Broke stride entering the first turn. A warning was issued.

NEKITE RIVER – Broke stride entering the first turn.  A warning was issued.

BUSTLING BARNEY – Pre-race blood sample.   Hampered entering the first turn.

 

RACE 3 – PARKES FURNITURE ONE PACE – 1660 metres

SOLDTOYOULADY – Pre-race blood sample.   Galloped out as the start was effected.  A warning was issued.

CARIBBEAN JACK – Post-race swab sample.  

WOMENWHISKYNGOLD – Had a tendency to hang out in the early stages of the event after being caught in a three wide position and was restrained to the rear of the field. 

TIM MCGEE – Was checked shortly after the start was effected.  After a making a three wide move in the latter stages then had a tendency to hang in which in turn hampered the running of ROCK ON NZ.  A warning was issued.

ROCK ON NZ – Was hampered when rounding the turn out of the home straight on the final occasion.  Had a tendency to hang in when leaving the back straight rounding the final turn.

COBBITY CHIC – Had a tendency to hang in after making a three wide move in the early stages.

 

RACE 4 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB GOLDEN BAR 3YO PACE – 2040 metres

KALYPSO KING – Was slow away as the start was effected.  Pre-race blood sample.  

LOCHIEL NZ – Post-race swab sample.  

MIGHTY JOE – Obtained inside running over the concluding stages.

JOGALONG BLUE – Broke stride shortly after the start was effected.  Will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.  Broke stride as the field passed the 800 metres.  Given its limited race experience the gelding will be stood down until one requalify trial has been completed.

 

RACE 5 – PARKES FARM CENTRE PACE – 2040 metres

HOMESTEAD LAD – Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event and weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  Driver B Hutchings advised that he was somewhat disappointed in the performance.  He further added that it is not a usual trait for the gelding to hang in around the smaller tracks and advised that in days subsequent that if anything was amiss to advise the Stewards. Stewards noted his comments.

MISTER MAGIC MAN – Post-race swab sample.  

SMACK DAB SHANNON – Pre-race blood sample.  

 

RACE 6 – TAB ELVIS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL – 2040 metres

DUNNO JO – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.  Was held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.  Post-race swab sample.  

TAYLORS MILL – Pre-race blood sample.  

ROCKNROLL AVA – Had a tendency to over race in the middle stages of the score up and broke stride resulting it being out of position as the start was effected.  A warning was issued.

 

RACE 7 – PARKES BETTA HOME LIVING PACE – 2040 metres

DOCTOR SOMES – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  Driver A Turnbull could not offer any suitable explanation for the performance.  Connections were advised that the horse would now be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion.

HARDLINER – Was examined pre-race by the veterinarian and passed fit to take its place in the event.  Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.  

IM ALRITE – Had a tendency over race in the early and middle stages of the event. Driver B Hutchings was fined the sum of $200 under Rule 156(2) in that when applying the whip to the gelding over the concluding stages did so in an unapproved manner using an action which engaged the shoulder.  Post-race swab sample.  

TULHURST LOVER – Pre-race blood sample.  

FAMILY AMBITION – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.  Was reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 8 – ELVIS 85^TH BIRTHDAY PACE – 2040 metres

BROADWAYBOOGIWOOGI – Was unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages.

RORY MCLORY – Post-race swab sample.  

LLANFAIR RUMOURS – Pre-race blood sample.   Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was effected.  The mare will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.  Broke stride entering the first turn free of interference.  A warning was issued.
