RACE 1 – TAB ODDS & EVENS PACE – 1740 metres

 

SMOKEN ALICE – Pre-race swab sampled.

SURE BET SHANNON – Pre-race swab sampled.

CONROD KENZE – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its 257^th race start today, and cleared to start.

REIBEY BEACH – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres.

CHAIN REACTION NZ – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 2 – CONQUEROR MILLING COMPANY PACE – 1740 metres

 

MA KOO LOO MASUNGU – Surrendered the lead to LINCS BUTE GIRL NZ leaving the 1400 metres.

LINCS BUTE GIRL NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Showed gate speed, then worked forward to take over the lead from MA KOO LOO MASUNGU leaving the 1400 metres.

SUNOFASIS – Pre-race swab sampled. Showed gate speed, then raced three wide rounding the first turn before obtaining the one-out one-back position approaching the 1200 metres.

HARD TO LOVE – Raced three wide with cover behind SUNOFASIS from the start until near the 1200 metres, and three wide without cover for the remainder. Post-race swab sampled.

TIGER CHEDDAR – Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position in the running line at the rear of the field approaching the 1200 metres.

CALCULATED RISK – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

PRESIDENTIALATTACK – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.

MANCHEGO – Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

 

RACE 3 – THOMAS BLAMEY TAVERN PACE – 2270 metres

 

MISSING A BOLT – Post-race swab sampled.

HARRY TURBO – Tired over the concluding stages of the race.

BILLYSBREDONE – Pre-race swab sampled.

SEATTLE TRACE – Tired over the concluding stages of the race. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from a poor post-race recovery. Driver B Jones was questioned regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare, he stated that he feels it is better suited over the shorter distances. He added that it had a good run and was travelling well until he asked it to improve near the 400 metres, and he was disappointed with its effort over the concluding stages.

STREAMLINER – Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position in the running line at the rear of the field near the 1800 metres.

REINCARNATE – Broke gait free of interference near the 400 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

ABOUT THE ATTITUDE – Showed gate speed, then raced outside the leader for the majority and had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event.

GEE GEE BLINXS – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take over the lead from DANCELIKEANANGEL near the 1200 metres.

DANCELIKEANANGEL – Pre-race swab sampled. Surrendered the lead to GEE GEE BLINXS near the 1200 metres. Post-race swab sampled.

Supplementary Report – Temora Saturday 11^th January, 2020, Race 5

 

ROLLECKS – Trainer C Maggs reported to Stewards in the days following the above race that he was disappointed with the gelding’s performance. He added that while the gelding seemed to have recovered well from the run, he felt that it may have been flattened somewhat by its first up win the week prior, which it hadn’t trialled prior to and the heat during the week may have taken a toll on it. He further added that he would not be starting the gelding again for a couple of weeks to give it a short freshen-up.
