RACE 1 – $11 FOR TWO YEARS MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE NOW PACE – 1720 metres

 

GEMMAS EXPRESS – Raced roughly after the start.

CHEZMAC – Pre-race blood sample.   Post-race swab sample.

WARANA COURT – Pre-race blood sample.  

MISS AEYLA – Inclined to over race during the event and was unable to secure clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested. 

SO JACK – Was inclined to over race during the event.

LAYDEENWAITING NZ – Was inclined to over race during the early stages of the event.  

JAY DEE BE ROLLIN – Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward.

 

RACE 2 – TAB ODDS & EVENS PACE – 2125 metres

 

MELODYS DAUGHTER – Tired at the concluding stages. 

BLACK EIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.  

BESOCIAL – Pre-race blood sample.   Post-race swab sample.

DAWN MAGIC – Passing the 500 metres had to be steadied when SALS LUCK shifted out marginally and as a result raced roughly.  Approaching the 200 metres had a tendency to hang out and raced roughly.  Was unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested. 

SALS LUCK – Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward.  Passing the 500 metres had to be steadied away from CLEMENTSORRELL which shifted out slightly resulting in SALS LUCK shifting out toward DAWN MAGIC. 

CLEMENTSORRELL – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Policy.   No obvious abnormalities were detected. Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward. 

GLENFERRIE DUSTER NZ – Was unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested. 

ITS INEVITABLE NZ – Was inclined to over race during the early stages and as a result was taken three wide by its driver however was unable to obtain the position outside of the leader therefore was then restrained back to the rear of the field near the 1200 metres. 

 

RACE 3 – J K WILLIAMS CONTRACTING APPRECIATION PACE – 1720 metres

 

SIR SIMON – Passing the 1400 metres when crossing to obtain the position outside of the leader shifted in at the same time eased the pace and subsequently ROCKNROLL SWINGER had to be steadied and raced roughly.  Driver J Bigeni was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference.

SCALLYWAG SCOUT – Pre-race blood sample.  

ETIZ AMODEL – Pre-race blood sample.  

ROCKNROLL SWINGER – Passing the 1400 metres was placed in restricted room by SIR SIMON which shifted in as a result had to be steadied and raced roughly.

LA PERLA BELLA NZ – Post-race swab sample.

MIZZZ ADELE – Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward to the position outside the leader.

 

RACE 4 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 2125 metres

 

MORTENSON – Pre-race blood sample.  

ROCK OF DELIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.  

IDEAL BREEZE NZ – Tired over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be noticeably lame in its off fore leg adopting the veterinary recommendation connections of IDEAL BREEZE NZ were advised that the mare would now be stood down from racing pending a veterinary certificate of fitness. 

ROYAL BENGAL NZ – Raced three wide during the middle stages and worked forward to the position outside of the leader. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – CLUB PACEWAY OPEN NOW PACE – 1720 metres

 

TIMES STRIDE NZ – Post-race swab sample.

DESTINY WARRIOR – Hung in during the score up.  Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward however was unable to obtain the position outside the leader and was subsequently restrained towards the rear of the field.  The gelding tired over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.  Driver S Lippiat explained that it was not her intention to drive the gelding forward at the start however in an attempt to straighten DESTINY WARRIOR up in the score up she gave the gelding a tap with the whip and this appeared to make her runner over race and could not get him back at the start.

S Lippiat explained that she was disappointed that she could not get the gelding to settle in the early stages as it proved to detrimental.  In view of the fast time of the event and the margin that DESTINY WARRIOR was beaten connections were advised that DESTINY WARRIOR would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

THE DEMOCRAT – Pre-race blood sample.  

FALCON STRIDE – Pre-race blood sample.   Raced four wide in the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader.

 

RACE 6 – PENRITH MARKETS EVERY WEDNESDAY PACE – 2125 metres

 

BURNING SHADOWS – Pre-race blood sample.   Leaving the 500 metres commenced to weaken and tired over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on BURNING SHADOWS for what was deemed to be an unsatisfactory performance. 

JAYS CASH – Leaving the 400 metres was hampered by BURNING SHADOWS when that runner commenced to weaken.

THRU TO THE KEEPER – Approaching the 200 metres had to be steadied and was hampered by BURNING SHADOWS as that runner gave ground. 

WATCHFUL LADY – Pre-race blood sample.   Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 7 – SINCLAIR FORD MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

 

FANTASYREACTOR – Post-race swab sample.

AICH – Raced three wide during the early stages.  Approaching the 400 metres commenced to weaken and tired significantly over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from atrial fibrillation.  Adopting the recommendations connections were advised that under Rule 101C(2)(a) AICH would be stood down for a period of 14 days after which time a veterinary certificate inclusive of a clear ECG would be required and AICH would be further required to complete one satisfactory official trial.

ROGERVALIERIO LOMBO – Passing the 200 metres was inclined to hang in and had to be steadied away from the wheel of JACKS UP.

LOUISIANA FREEDOM – A pre and post-race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Policy.  No obvious abnormalities were detected.

MANCHEGO – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 8 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES 2YO PACE – 1720 metres

 

HONEY CHICKEN – Pre-race blood sample.   Post-race swab sample.

MAJOR SUNRISE – Pre-race blood sample.  

FOLLOW THE ECLIPSE – Pre-race blood sample.   Approaching the 1500 metres had to be steadied when placed in severely restricted racing room as a result of DELIGHTFUL ANNA shifting in.  Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Then approaching 100 metres FOLLOW THE ECLIPSE shifted out to improve to the outside of MANNHO. As a result FOLLOW THE ECLIPSE carried DELIGHTFUL ANNA which was racing to its outside, up the track toward SILVER MYSTIQUE resulting in DELIGHTFUL ANNA being placed in severely restricted racing room and having to be checked. Subsequently DELIGHTFUL ANNA raced roughly and lost its rightful running.  Driver B Portelli pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference.  In assessing penalty consideration was given to the degree of interference, B Portelli’s guilty plea and also his poor driving record in relation to race driving offences. B Portelli had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 14 days.

DELIGHTFUL ANNA – Approaching the 1500 metres was placed in severely restricted room when MANNHO shifted in and then shortly after struck the nearside wheel of that runner causing DELIGHTFUL ANNA to race roughly and be checked.  Passing the 100 metres tightened and had to be checked and lost its rightful running when FOLLOW THE ECLIPSE shifted out carrying DELIGHTFUL ANNA out toward SILVER MYSTIQUE.

MANNHO – Driver M Towers pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 1500 metres he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent MANNHO from shifting in when not clear of DELIGHTFUL ANNA resulting in that runner being placed in restricted room and being taken in toward FOLLOW THE ECLIPSE which in turn was tightened. Then, a short time after, MANNHO contacted the off fore leg of DELIGHTFUL ANNA resulting in that runner racing roughly and having to be checked.  In assessing penalty, consideration was given to M Towers guilty plea and good driving record.  Consideration was also given to the degree of interference and consequential effect of the incident.  M Towers had his licence to drive in races suspended for 7 days.
