RACE 1 – FERNDALE DISTRIBUTORS LADYSHIP PACE – 2000 metres

 

UROC BABY NZ – Checked near the 100 metre mark.

THE NARRATOR – Despite the efforts of its driver hung in near the 400 metres.

MAJORESS JUJON – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Driver Blake Micallef was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that he has allowed the mare to shift ground outwards near the 100 metres resulting in the runner to its outside being checked.

JAY PEEZ OFFICIAL – Post-race swab samples were taken.

 

RACE 2 – RSM PACE – 2000 metres

 

MYTHOS – Inconvenienced and then checked and broke near the 300 metres.  At the request of the trainer, the club’s veterinarian inspected MYTHOS and recorded apart from poor recovery there were no other conditions.

CAMS PEARL – Checked near the 300 metres.

CHARLIE STUDLEIGH – Checked and broke near the 300 metres.

TIGER CHEDDAR – Checked near the 300 metres.

OUR SAMS HOME – Travelling on the peg line and broke gait near the 300 metres and whilst in a gallop shifted outwards and locked wheels with JUST SMOKIN which was attempting to take a run to its outside.  A warning was placed on the racing manners of OUR SAMS HOME.

SPIRITED – Driver Peter McRae was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for the manner in which he shifted ground near the 300 metres.  Post-race swab samples were taken.

JUST SMOKIN – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Locked wheels with OUR SAMS HOME and was severely checked near the 300 metres.

LIGHT UP BILLY – Checked and broke near the 300 metres.

 

RACE 3 – SOUTH WEST FUEL CENTRE PACE – 2000 metres

 

SPORTS BOUNTY – Post-race swab samples were taken.

POCKET BLASTER – Galloped from the barrier and a warning was issued. 

TO ALASKA – Galloped from the barrier and a warning was issued.

TO BE FEARED – Pre-race blood samples were taken. 

 

RACE 4 – TEMORA SHIRE COUNCIL PACE – 2000 metres

 

HEART ATTACK STACK – Short priced favourite.  After gaining the lead in the early stages, surrendered to take a trail on the peg line.  Commenced to over race badly and failed to run on over the final 300 metres of the race.  When queried, driver Jackson Painting stated that the gelding had not trialled since its last start on 20 November 2020 but had been working quite well and the trainer was expecting the gelding to perform well.  He further added that he felt the gelding over racing badly was a reason why it failed to run on.  Mr Painting’s comments were noted.

HALF CROWN GAP – Pre-race blood samples were taken. 

DRAGON STRIDE – Post-race urine samples were taken.  Post-race blood samples were taken.

 

RACE 5 – SHAMROCK HOTEL PACE – 2000 metres

 

PETES PET ROCK – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event.  Hung in and contacted several marker pegs on the final turn.

ITS NICHOLAS – Trailed on the peg line and obtained an inside run in the home straight when the leader shifted marginally from the peg line.

SHADOW AFFAIR – Fractious in the score up and a warning was issued. 

NICOLESCRUISER – Hung out under pressure in the home straight during the event hung in and contacted several marker pegs.  Driver Benjamin Swan was fined $100 under Rule 162(1)(y) for failing to adhere to sectional time requirements.  Post-race swab samples were taken.

CONROD KENZE – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  As this mare had over 200 race starts it was examined prior to the event and passed fit to start. 

 

RACE 6 – IGA TEMORA PACE – 2000 metres

 

TACHANKA – Galloped from the barrier and a warning was issued.

HEAVENLY WISDOM – Momentarily tightened in the run to the first turn and raced roughly for a short distance.  Post-race swab samples were taken.

MOST CERTAIN MICKY – Shifted in on the first turn resulting in tightening to HEAVENLY WISDOM.  Driver Daryll Perrot was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for this incident. Near the 1200 metres MOST CERTAIN MICKY was checked and forced wide as a result of GIVE US A WINK racing erratically at that stage.

GIVE US A WINK – Raced on the peg line, over raced badly placing the driver in some difficulties and it commenced to hang out as the field approached the 1200 metres.  A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  GIVE US A WINK was stood down until it can complete one requalifying trial.

BRETTS HOPE – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Raced roughly shortly before the start and was slightly out of position.

KALAHARI SAN – Broke mid-race and a warning was issued.  Re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 7 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2000 metres

 

FLOORLESS – Broke in the early stages of the score but was able to obtain its correct barrier position by the start and a warning was issued.

CHRISTYS LAST – Galloped from the barrier.  As it was the filly’s first start shall be drawn wide in future mobile barrier events.

POPS GEE – Pre-race blood samples were taken. 

STORMWATCH – Over raced in the middle stages.

WELL THATS ALRIGHT – Post-race swab samples were taken.

 

RACE 8 – HOT TO TROT CARNIVAL OF CUPS IS ON 9 JANUARY PACE – 2000 metres

 

FUMIA REACTOR – Broke in the middle stages of the score up resulting in a false start and a warning was issued.

PAGEANTRY – Pre-race blood samples were taken. 

A GOOD IDEAL NZ – Post-race swab samples were taken.
