RACE 1 – PARKES LEAGUES CLUB – 1660 metres

 

ELLEN SHANNON – Post-race sample was taken.

WARRA DOWNS – Had a tendency to hang out throughout various stages of the event and when negotiating the final turn broke stride.  Connections were advised that it would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

JOSHUA DYLAN NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.  Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  After moving three wide in the middle stages of the event again broke stride.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be lame behind.  Acting on veterinary advice it was stood down for a period of seven days in addition to a veterinary certificate of fitness.

WINDY HILL WALLY – Inconvenienced when entering the first turn.  After making a move three wide in the early stages of the event raced wide for the remainder of the event.

LUCKY LEIGH – Checked and broke stride as the field left the back straight on the final occasion.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed a superficial laceration to the off side fore leg.  Connections were advised that it will be stood down for a period of seven days.

TURBO TOMMY – Inconvenienced as the field raced out of the back straight on the first occasion.  Leaving the back straight on the final occasion, closed down the track when racing to the outside of MY FLYING SPUR.  As a result TURBO TOMMY lost some ground and sustained contact to its inside wheel with LUCKY LEIGH trailing behind.  This resulted in a puncture.  Drivers were advised that greater care needs to be taken in similar circumstances.

 

RACE 2 – TELESCOPE TYRES PACE – 2040 metres

 

LLANFAIR RHIANNON – Post-race sample was taken.

PALE FACE JO – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up.  Connections were advised that it would be placed on its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.  Restricted for racing room entering the first turn. 

ROCK HAND – Driver W Cassell was advised to take greater care in that when closing down entering the first turn had restricted the racing room of ROCK HAND.

COURAGE LIPS – Galloped away as the start was affected.  Connections were advised that it would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.  Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  A post-race veterinary examination could not reveal any abnormalities.  Driver N Turnbull explained that due to the slow tempo in the early stages of the event elected to move three wide and found the position outside of the leader to which it is not suited.  Connections were advised that it would now be stood down until it can complete one requalifying trial.

COURAGEOUS BEAU – Pre-race sample was taken. 

MISTER MYSTERIOUS – Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn.  A warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – PARKES BETTA HOME LIVING PACE – 2040 metres

 

IDEOLOGIST NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

FOUR FOR THE ROAD – Out of position as the start was affected.  Driver O Frisby explained to Stewards that it had a tendency to hang out during the score up and was difficult to drive.  A warning was issued.

TOYA LOMBO – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.

IM JIMMY JAMES NZ – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.

SCARAMUCCI – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.  Held up for clear running over the concluding and was not fully tested.

SNOOP STRIDE – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

 

RACE 4 – TAB.COM.AU ELVIS CHAMPIONSHIP – 2040 metres

 

MISTER HAYWOOD – Post-race sample was taken.

KID YOU NOT – Had a tendency to hang in entering the first turn and broke stride.  Connections were advised that it would be stood down until it can requalify on one occasion. 

KAMWOOD IZZY – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to hang in racing into the back straight on the final occasion resulting in a contact to the off side wheel of STUDLEIGH SONNY to which broke stride.  Driver R Druitt explained to Stewards it would be the intention to give the mare a freshen up prior to racing again.  Connections were further advised that it would be stood down for a period of 28 days in addition to being required to trial on two occasions to the satisfaction of Stewards.

LUCKY LYLA – Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event and broke stride when negotiating the final turn.  A warning was issued.

STUDLEIGH SONNY – Received a contact to its off side wheel upon entering the back straight on the final occasion.

CARLAS ANGEL – Checked racing down the back straight on the final occasion.  Checked as the field negotiated the first turn.

KARLOO BRADLEY NZ – Hampered as the field negotiated the first turn. 

 

RACE 5 – PARKES FARM CENTRE PACE – 1660 metres

 

LIMBO LARRY – Examined by the veterinarian pre and post-race with no abnormalities reported.  Broke stride upon entering the home straight for the run to the finish.  A warning was issued. 

UROC N WARRIOR NZ – Raced roughly shortly after the start was affected. 

IDLE HANDS – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.  Post-race sample was taken.

PREACHERS DAUGHTER – Checked shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish and contacted marker pegs. 

TWISTED MISTRESS – Checked shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

COBBITY CASTLE – Pre-race sample was taken.

 

GENERAL – Stewards delayed the declaration of all clear to review the patrol footage in relation to LIMBO LARRY breaking stride which in turn checked the running of PREACHERS DAUGHTER which contacted marker pegs.  Upon review and taking evidence from driver J Turnbull it was established that initially PREACHERS DAUGHTER was checked and contacted a marker peg and raced inside one marker peg however Stewards determined that it had not gained an advantage as a result of this movement and declared all clear on the judge’s numbers.

 

RACE 6 – COL FLETCHER FORD MAIDEN PACE – 1660 metres

 

HES A TERROR – Hung out in the latter stages of the score up.

BULLDOG BRAWLER – Raced roughly after the start was affected.  Stewards queried driver J Davis in relation to the performance.  J Davis explained to Stewards that he was disappointed however the gelding did not handle the small circumference circuit and advised that it would look to race at more suitable venues.  Stewards noted his comments.

COUNT MONTECARLO – Pre-race sample was taken. 

BOMANI – Raced roughly whilst under pressure.  A warning was issued.  Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – PARKES FURNITURE ONE PACE – 1660 metres

 

SEMI SENSATION – Post-race sample was taken.

KYLE SHANNON – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

KEMPLEY PRINCESS - Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. 

THE HANDSOME ONE – Out of position as the start was affected a warning was issued.  Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn.  A warning was issued.

DYNAMITE DEE – Pre-race sample was taken. 

GROVE DALE – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected.  It will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 8 – ELVIS RETURNS 2022 MAIDEN PACE – 1660 metres

 

HONEYBEEDEE – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up.  A warning was issued.

LUCKY AVA – Post-race sample was taken.

AMORA DANCER – Hung in slightly entering the first turn and locked wheels with LINX DOWNS who also had a tendency to hang out which resulted in it being severely checked.

JESSEJAMES SHANNON – Out of position as the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  Checked and broke stride approaching the first turn.

WHATABOUTBRONSON – Checked as the field entered the first turn.

ONE MORE STAR – Pre-race sample was taken.  Checked and broke stride entering the first turn.  Had a tendency to hang out when trailing the field.

BILLS EXPRESS – Sustained a flat tyre in the latter stages of the score up. 

LINX DOWNS – Had a tendency to over race entering the first turn and hung out slightly and locked wheels with AMORA DANCER which had a tendency to hang in slightly.  As a result was severely checked and checked the running of SPEAK WITH SAM and WHATABOUTBRONSON.  Stewards noted the comments and advised drivers to take greater care in similar circumstances.

SPEAK WITH SAM – Checked entering the first turn.

THEBESTISYETTOCOME – Broke stride during the early stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected.  Connections were advised it will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.  Broke stride free of interference as the field negotiated the first turn.  A warning was issued.
