RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

OUR BUSHWACKER – Pre – race swab sample was taken. Was examined pre and post – race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Post – race sample was taken.

MAJOR NOAH WILLIAM – Post – race sample was taken.

MAYWYNS HONEY – Was hampered racing into the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.

MONSIEUR DARCY – Commenced to weaken over the last 600 metres to be beaten some distance. Driver S Ison could not offer any explanation for the performance. A warning was issued.

RACE 2 – GOLDEN GUITAR PACEWAY TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

REDBANK OLIVIA – Post – race sample was taken.

STILTON – Pre – race sample was taken.

SAVANNAHS BOY – Broke stride as the field negotiated the first turn free of interference. A warning was issued.

RACE 3 – TAMWORTH HRC VOLUNTEERS APPRECIATION PACE – 1609 metres

MCKINLEY – Post – race sample was taken. Driver S Welsh was fined the sum of $200 under rule 156(3) for the continuous nature in which he applied the whip to the gelding over the concluding stages.

IT AINT ROYAL – Stewards queried driver B Hughes in relation to the tactics adopted. Driver B Hughes informed the stewards that the instructions were to drive forward in the event as the gelding is only one paced. He further added that after being caught wide in the early stages, elected to try and push forward to which the gelding lacked the speed to move to a position forward however was comfortable racing in a three wide position as the tempo in the event was not overly quick. The gelding weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. Stewards noted his comments.

BALBOA SHANNON – Galloped in the middle part of the score up before regaining its gait. A warning was issued.

NAVUA GIRL – Driver A Varga was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile prior to the start being effected.

POWER TO BOLT – Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

MISS SERENDIPITY – Pre – race sample was taken.   

RACE 4 – KTR STANDARDBRED STUD PACE – 1980 metres

WRITE TIME – Pre – race sample was taken.

ASHINCHARGE – Driver D Chapple was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile prior to the start being effected.

OUR ROYS DREAM – Post – race sample was taken.

RACE 5 – THRIFTY CAR & TRUCK RENTAL TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

GOJOE – Post – race sample was taken.

MISS MARAVU – Was hampered prior to the field entering the home straight for the run to the finish.

THUNDERBOLTSHANNON – Driver J Enks was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish directed that gelding wider on the track which restricted the racing room of MISS MARAVU and to the inside of GOJOE and as a result was hampered. Driver J Enks was further fined the sum of $400 under rule 156(2)(a) in that when applying the whip over the concluding stages did so in an unapproved manner.

SAHARA JEWEL – Pre – race sample was taken.

SUNDOWNER SHANNON – Was out of position as the start was effected. Connections were advised that it would continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Had a tendency to race roughly at various stages of the event, in particular rounding the final turn when it shifted up and hampered the running of MISS MARAVU.

RACE 6 – FARRER SECURITY SERVICE TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

UPTOTRIX – Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

PEGGY SUE SHANNON – Post – race sample was taken.

PRESIDENTIAL ATTACK – Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. Connections were advised it would be stood down until it can re – qualify on one occasion.

DIESEL DON – Was out of position as the start was effected. No direct action was taken as a result of SIR MACADOR NZ being down in the early stages of the score up.

A PARADIGM SHIFT – Pre – race sample was taken.

RACE 7 – MILLENIUM SIGNS PACE – 1609 metres

TRALEE ROCKS – Pre – race sample was taken. Post – race sample was taken.

AKUMA – Had a tendency to over race on the marker pegs during the early and middle stages of the event.

BROKEN ARK – Had a tendency to over – race in the early and middle stages of the event.

RACE 8 – HAZELL FARM & FERTILIZER SERVICES PACE – 1980 metres

GOTTA RUSH – Broke stride negotiating the first turn and galloped for a considerable distance before regaining gait. Connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance to race truly.

SAMMI DANCE – Had a tendency to over race whilst leading in the early and middle stages of the event and weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance. A post – race veterinary examination revealed it to be lame in the off side fore leg. Upon veterinary recommendations it was stood down pending a veterinary certificate of fitness in addition to a stand down from racing for a period of 28 days.

WITH AUTHORITY – Pre – race sample was taken.

MONTANA NIGHTS – Was checked racing down the back straight on the final occasion when trailing weakening runners.

AMUSED – Had a tendency to race roughly negotiating the first turn.

IM SO BETTER – Post – race sample was taken.
