RACE 1 – SKY RCING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 metres

ULTRA BLISS – Was held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

HUEY LEWIS NZ – Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

POPS BOY – Post – race swab sample was taken.

BITE THE BULLET NZ – Pre – race sample was taken.

RACE 2 – BARASTOC PACE – 1609 metres

BLAZING SHANNON – Post – race sample was taken.

BUDDY CLAYDON – Pre – race sample was taken.

SOHO BRANDENBURG – Had a tendency to over – race in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced roughly when negotiating the final turn whilst under pressure.

ROCKNROLL SWINGER – Upon request from connections was re – included into the mobile barrier draw.

BREXITT – Was unable to gain clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested.

RACE 3 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres

SKYFALL BENCHMARK - Post – race sample was taken.

IAMBECAUSEOFYOU – Had a tendency to over – race in the early and middle stages of the event.

ROCKNROLL TONY – Pre – race sample was taken.

RACE 4 – MEDOWIE PRINCE PACE – 2030 metres

SERGEI – Pre – race sample was taken. Stewards inquired into the circumstances surrounding it galloping prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish. Upon review stewards determined that whilst when racing in a three wide position was manoeuvred wider on the track to which it over – reacted to a degree and raced out onto the wheel of MAJOR BOB (G Panella) which may have shifted down the track marginally, as a result SERGEI broke stride. Stewards could not lay blame against any one horse or driver and reported the incidents and advised drivers to take care in similar circumstances.

THE CHOREOGRAPHER – Had a tendency to over – race in the early and middle stages of the event whilst outside of the leader.

MASTER CATCH – Had a tendency to over – race in the early and middle stages of the event whilst leading.

MAJOR BOB – Sustained contact to its near side wheel prior to entering the home straight for the run to the finish. Post – race sample was taken.

RACE 5 – NHRC MEMBER BILL KAPELA PACE – 1609 metres

ILLGIVEUADAISYADAY – Pre – race sample was taken. Had a tendency to hang out racing to the 1000m. Post – race sample was taken.

HASLER Hung in shortly after the start was effected and broke stride. A warning was issued.

RACE 6 – WOLF BLASS PACE – 1609 metres

ZAC MCCOOL – Had a tendency to over – race in the early and middle stages of the event when racing along the marker pegs.

TAPTHEKEG – Pre – race sample was taken.

YESNOMAYBESO – Post – race sample was taken.

RACE 7 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 metres

MYSTIC EAGLE – Was held up for clear running in the latter stages of the run to the finish.

TAKEME TOTHE BEACH - Was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

MANNHO – Momentarily locked wheels with SUNDAY SESH when racing three wide.

CLASSIC ARC – Pre – race sample was taken.

ROCOCO – Post – race sample was taken.

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 metres

MISTER OPERATIVE – Pre – race sample was taken. Was slow away as the start was effected. Driver M Grant pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that at a point racing down the home straight attempted a run to the outside of the wheel of BREEZER BOY which in turn restricted the racing room of WALMARA when racing to the inside of COZZAS GRIN. As a result WALMARA was checked and raced roughly for a short distance. Driver M Grant’s was suspended for a period of 7 days. When considering penalty stewards took into account his record in relation to interference and plead of guilt.

BREEZER BOY – Was examined pre and post – race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Post – race samples were taken.

WALMARA – Was checked and raced roughly inside the 100 metres.

RACE 9 – HRNSW 2YO GUARANTEED PACE – 1609 metres

LOUIGI – Driver D Spencer was cautioned for the manner in which he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

SWEETLY SPOKEN – Pre – race sample was taken.

ARTFUL BABE – Post – race sample was taken.

SIANGDI – Hung out shortly after entering the home straight for the run to finish and hampered ARTFUL BABE.

CARRARA BABE – Stewards queried driver E Nichols in relation to the tactics adopted after being caught racing wide for the majority of the event.  Driver E Nichols explained that as the start was effected looked to move forward in an attempt to find a position in the field however was caught racing three wide trailing SIANGDI (G Panella). Prior to entering the home straight on the first occasion SIANGDI pressed forward and obtained the position outside of the leader to which CARRARA BABE was unable to maintain the position on its back. E Nichols further explained that she attempted to obtain a position in the running line, in advance of SWEETLY SPOKEN however that runner was able to muster and fill that position at the rear of the field in the running line, leaving CARRARA BABE three wide for the remainder. Stewards noted E Nichols comments however advised that moving forward greater judgement needs to be displayed.
