RACE 1 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

COME ON GINO – Was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

TIMOTHY RED – Post – race swab samples were obtained.

STRONG DESIRE – Pre – race blood samples were obtained.

HELLBOUND – Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1200 metres.

VALLEY ESS JAY – Had difficulties securing clear running in the latter stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

RACE 2 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL 2YO FILLIES PACE – 1609 metres

BEAUTY PLAY – Post – race swab samples were obtained.

LADY ALLEGRA – Pre – race blood samples were obtained.

RACE 3 – CORDINA CHICKENS TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

INHERENT ROYAL NZ – Broke gait at the start and will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

AGENT MAORI – Pre – race blood samples were obtained. Underwent a pre and post – race veterinary examination as per HRNSW Animal Welfare Guidelines. No abnormalities were detected.

SEKKIE MONKEY – Was excluded from the mobile barrier draw on the 31 July 2021 which occurred after the fields for today’s event were released. Subsequently SEKKIE MONKEY was repositioned to commence to start from out of barrier nine (EOD). SEKKIE MONKEY was out of position at the start. Driver D Binskin was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position.

RIGHT MOVES – Raced three wide during the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1100 metres.

RACE 4 – AGNES BANKS EQUINE CLINIC PACE – 1609 metres

POLKA DELIGHT NZ – Galloped at the start. A warning was issued. Was unable to secure clear running until passing the 300 metres when the filly was taken wider on the track. Shortly after POLKA DELIGHT commenced to shift in significantly under pressure. A warning was placed on POLKA DELIGHT.

BELONGTOLOU – Post – race swab samples were obtained.

CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART – Pre – race swab samples were obtained. Was caught wide during the early stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 1100 metres.

RACE 5 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

IM BILLS LAST NZ – Broke gait during the score up and was out of position at the start. Connections requested that IM BILLS LAST NZ now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Stewards acceded to this request.

MI FURIOSO TORO NZ – Pre – race blood samples were obtained. Wasn’t able to obtain secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

THE MAHARANI NZ – Post – race swab samples were obtained.

AD MAIORA – Was unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

FEELS LIKA BOSS – Raced three wide during the middle stages before working forward to the position outside of the leader near the 900 metres.

BROOKESSMARTDANCER – Was unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested. When questioned regarding the tactics employed on BROOKESSMARTDANCER ($3.70 fav) driver J Gallagher explained that he was instructed by trainer A Delosa, that it would be her preference to see the gelding driven with cover. J Gallagher stated that from barrier seven out, all runners began evenly and therefore he decided to restrain and try and take up a position in the running line. He added that after establishing his position in the running line, he shifted BROOKESSMARTDANCER down to the marker pegs near the 1300 metres as he believed that the gelding would be more tractable. J Gallagher said that leaving the 400 metres he followed AD MAIORA and found himself racing to the inside of JACKBKWIK and subsequently could not shift BROOKESSMARTDANCER wider on the track. Subsequently he was unable to find any available runs in the home straight until he was able to shift out forward of JACKBKWIK near the 100 metres and move BROOKESSMARTDANCER wider. Then it was not until leaving the 50 metres that he was able to get BROOKESSMARTDANCER into clear running. J Gallagher’s explanation was noted. Stewards intend to interview A Delosa in respect to her instructions.  A post – race veterinary examination of BROOKESSMARTDANCER revealed no obvious abnormalities.

RACE 6 – SUCCESS STUD PACE – 1609 metres

WILL I AM – Was unable to secure clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

BLUE OCEAN – Improved three wide during the middle stages to obtain a position outside of the leader near the 800 metres.

SOUTHBOUND TRAIN NZ – Post – race swab samples were obtained.

OFFLOAD – Pre – race blood samples were obtained.

HESTON ZOOLANDER – Raced roughly after the start and approaching the 1400 metres became unbalanced and broke gait for a short distance. Connections were advised that HESTON ZOOLANDER would now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw for the immediate future.

RACE 7 – ACCESS GROUP SOLUTIONS PACE – 1609 metres

COURT ON THE EDGE NZ – Post – race swab samples were obtained.

MUSTANG MILLY – Pre – race blood samples were obtained.

RACE 8 – EVEKARE PACE – 1609 metres

THE LONGEST DAY NZ – Raced roughly at the start. Was slow to begin. Leaving the 600 metres, THE LONGEST DAY NZ which was improving three wide became unbalanced and raced roughly losing momentum.

SPIRIT OF ANZAC NZ – Pre – race blood samples were obtained. Post – race swab samples were obtained.

DONT NEED AN EXCUSE NZ – Approaching the 1300 metres contacted a marker peg and raced roughly momentarily.

RACE 9 – ALLIED EXPRESS PACE – 1609 metres

BIRDY MACH – Pre – race blood samples were obtained. Post – race swab samples were obtained.
