As Driver C. Geary was unavailable due to general soreness following a race fall at Newcastle on Monday 25th October 2021, the following driving changes were approved. C. Geary was advised that a medical certificate would be required prior to driving again.

As Driver J. Douglass was unavailable following a race fall at Penrith on Thursday 21st October 2021, the following driving changes were approved.

As Driver J. McPherson was unavailable due to commencing a suspension the following driving change was approved.

STRAVINSKY – Jack Brown

 

RACE 1 – FOR A REASON AT COBBITTY EQUINE 2YO TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609metres

FINN RUNS RED – Broke after the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

KING CITY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

SO VOGUE – Pre-race blood sample. Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

RACE 2 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300metres

THE GOLD STANDARD NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn. Driver B. Fitzpatrick pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that leaving the 400 metres he shifted his runner wider on the track when not sufficiently clear of STREETCAFE and as a result that runner was checked and broke. B. Fitzpatrick’s licence to drive in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence at the expiration of his suspension from Saturday night.

QUEEN OF STRATHFIELD NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Driver R. Morris was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the first turn he shifted his runner down the track and tightened the racing room of THE GOLD STANDARD NZ.

MR OLYMPUS NZ – Hung out after the start and broke. A warning was issued. Checked near the 300 metres when STREETCAFE broke.

STREETCAFE – Checked and broke leaving the 400 metres.

ILLAWONG MOONBEAM – Galloped out at the start. Will continue to be placed outside the mobile draw in future starts. Post-race swab sample.

RACE 3 – CORDINA CHICKEN FARMS TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300metres

ERATIGENA – Pre-race blood sample.

FANCY – Post-race swab sample.

SONETTO – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding had competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

VIKSUN – Tired from the 500 metres to be beaten 61.4 metres. Driver D. Morris stated that the mare is best suited to racing over the mile at Menangle and also best suited to racing on the marker pegs. D. Morris further added that due to the mare being a favoured runner he elected to remain racing in the running line and as a result the mare tired over the concluding stages of the event. In view of the performance a warning was issued.

SCENIC SKY – Pre-race blood sample.

AGENT MAORI – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding had competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 4 – IRT YOUR HORSE OUR PASSION TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300metres

DENEVUE STAR – Pre-race blood sample.

ORLANDO STORM – Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was issued.

AFFAIRE DE COVER – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

PRINCESS KENNY – Post-race swab sample.

ENHANCE YOUR CALM – Pre-race blood sample.

RIGHT MOVES – Near the 250 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.

RACE 5 – MULTIQUIP QUARRIES PACE – 1609metres

MISS AEYLA – Pre-race blood sample.

NEW TRICKS – Stewards questioned Driver J. Gallagher in regards to the performance of the filly which appeared to perform below market expectations. J. Gallagher stated that the gelding travelled well until near the 400 metres however whenever placed under pressure failed to respond to his driving and in his opinion was disappointing.

JOIN THE QUE – Pre-race blood sample.

KOBYS DELIGHT – Broke in the score up and then galloped out at the start. Will continue to be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts.

RACE 6 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609metres

HALLOWEEN – Pre-race blood sample.

IDLE HANDS – Examined prior to and following this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

ALFS ODYSSEY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

DON KEE – Examined prior to and following this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts. The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

RACE 7 – EVEKARE ASSISTED LIVING PACE – 1609metres

STRAVINSKY – Pre-race blood sample.

TRIPLE FOUR NZ – Post-race swab sample.

LANI KAI BEACH – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 8 – ALLIED EXPRESS COURIER SERVICES PACE – 1609metres

ITZ MAJOR RICH NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Stewards questioned Driver J. Brown regarding the driving tactics adopted in particular rounding the home turn and in the home straight and the reasons for BOMB SUIT NZ being able to obtain an inside run near the 250 metres. J. Brown stated that the gelding has shown a tendency in its recent starts to want to shift out and as a result when ANANAIS NZ commenced to weaken to his outside his gelding lost concentration and wanted to shift out. J. Brown added that when the gelding commenced to shift out he attempted to correct the gelding down the track however he was unable to do so. J. Brown was further questioned as to the reasons for him applying his whip to the near side of the horse when the gelding was wanting to shift outwards. J. Brown stated that he was of the opinion that he had done everything within his capabilities to keep the gelding down the track and when applying the whip he was endeavouring the get the best possible performance out of the gelding. After considering the evidence, Stewards advised Driver J. Brown that in their opinion he must make far greater effort to prevent his runners from shifting ground which advantages another runner and if he was to drive in a similar manner in future, Stewards may take further action.

BOSCH NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

BOMB SUIT NZ – Obtained an inside run near the 250 metres. Post-race swab sample.

KATCHAR SHOBEE – Driver B. Portelli pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 162(1)(www)(a) in that from near the 250 metres and until near the finish line he allowed his runner to shift ground whilst driving it along and as a result BOSCH NZ was impeded. Driver B. Portelli was fined $200.
