RACE 1 – HRNSW 2YO TROTTERS FOUNDATION HEAT 3 – 1609 metres

VITELLIUS – Trainer B Fitzpatrick was fined $50 under rule 273(6)(b) for failing to accurately record the gear form for the colt. Post race swab sample.

MISSAIRAKEI – Galloped out at the start for which a warning was issued. Checked and galloped when avoiding the galloping ONE PINEVALE HILL passing the 350 metres.

ONE PINVALE HILL – Out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. Checked after the start when avoiding the galloping DUTCH TEACHER. Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 350 metres for which the filly was issued its last chance to race truly.

DREAMBIGAIMHIGH – Pre race blood sample.

DUTCH TEACHER – Trainer J Rattray was fined $50 under rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form for the filly. Became unbalanced and galloped shortly after the start for which a warning was issued.

SUGA DADDY – Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 400 metres for which a warning was issued.

BURKHARDT NZ - Pre race blood sample. Over raced throughout the event.

WALKABOUT COCOLOCO – Became unbalanced and galloped shortly after the start and the gelding will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 2 – HAPPY 9TH 32ND BIRTHDAY KIM PROCTER TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

ONAWINGANDAPRAYER – Pre race blood sample. Out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.

FLORENCITA - Post race swab sample.

WALKABOUT CASCADE – A delay to the start of this event was required when driver G McElhinney was required to replace the sulky due to sustaining a flat tyre during the preliminary. Became unbalanced and galloped during the score up, was out of position at the start taking no competitive part in the event and the gelding was issued its last chance in the mobile barrier draw.

YOUNG SON – Pre race blood sample.

QUEEN OF STRATHFIELD – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1200 metres.

DREAM INCEPTION – Trainer T Williams was fined $100 under rule 273(6)(a) for presenting the gelding to race with the incorrect saddle cloth number. Hung in and contacted marker pegs between the 500 and 400 metres for which a warning was issued.

LORD LOHKI – Caught racing three wide in the early stages before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 800 metres. Commenced to weaken from the 600 metres to be beaten 127 metres and finish in last position. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils and acting under the provisions of rule 101(3)(a) LORD LOHKI was stood down for a period of 3 months, until a veterinary certificate of fitness is submitted and until it completes one re qualifying trial.

 

RACE 3 – PACING FOR PINK TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres

KRISTOFFERSON NZ – Pre race blood sample. Trainer K Morris was fined $50 under rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form for the gelding. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1500 metres. Shifted out in the home straight on the final occasion whilst under pressure for which a warning was issued.

MAJESTIC TRIO NZ - Post race swab sample.

RIGHT MOVES – Became unbalanced and galloped shortly after the start. The mare will now be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

SCENIC SKY - Pre race blood sample.

AGENT MAORI – Pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

CELTIC CASH – Out of position at the start and the gelding will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw. Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1950 metres. Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 550 metres for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 4 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE – 1609 metres

LADY DELIGHT – Pre race blood sample.

HAPPY AS - Pre race blood sample.

CHICAGO GANGSTER – Post race swab sample.

 

RACE 5 – FARMER JOES FOOD SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres

FLYING PEGASUS – Pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

LUKE JOHN NZ - Pre race blood sample. Held up in the early stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.

CEE FOR COLIN - Pre race blood sample. The gelding was presented on course four hours before the advertised starting time for this race in accordance with the HRNSW Elevated TC02 Policy. Post race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – MCLAREN REAL ESTATE COMMERCIAL PACE – 1609 metres

GENERAL – A delay to this event was required to avoid a clash with Race 8 at Toowoomba Thoroughbreds.

YEAH CHARLIE - Pre race blood sample. Post race swab sample.

ANGELSHAVTIME NZ - Pre race blood sample. Contacted the sulky wheel of BETTOR BE LUCKY passing the 300 metres when that gelding moved up the track away from the wheel of YEAH CHARLIE for a short distance passing that point. As a result ANGELSHAVTIME NZ paced roughly for a short distance.

ZACHAROONI – Trainer R Alchin was fined $50 under rule 268A(1) for failing to lodge a gear form for the gelding.

HIGHVIEW SADLER NZ - Pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

BETTOR BE LUCKY – Shied away from the wheel of YEAH CHARLIE passing the 300 metres resulting in the gelding moving marginally up the track and contacting the leg of ANGELSHAVTIME NZ causing that runner to be checked and pace roughly for a short distance. In view of the minimal movement no direct action was taken.

JUST TOOTSIE - Pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the mare being over 12 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination. Driver G McElhinney reported to stewards following the event that the mare had got its tongue over the bit during the event and over raced as a result.

JEDI MIND - Pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 7 – ULTRA AIR PACE – 1609 metres

BLACK ONYX – Consideration was given to a protest lodged by the driver of the 2nd placed BLACK ONYX against the 1st placed MAHOMES, alleging interference in the home straight on the final occasion. It was established that on entry to the home straight MAHOMES had shifted up the track marginally however at this stage BLACK ONYX was still racing behind that runner and as the runners progressed further up the straight from a point passing the 175 metres when BLACK ONYX had established running to its outside, there was no further shift from MAHOMES. As stewards did not find that BLACK ONYX suffered any interference once obtaining clear running, the protest was dismissed and the all clear was given on the judges numbers.

MAHOMES – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1200 metres. Withstood a protest from BLACK ONYX. Post race swab sample.

LUCKY BEACH BOY - Pre race blood sample.

IM IN TROUBLE - Pre race blood sample. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight before being tested for a short distance in the middle stages before again being held up in the latter stages of the home straight.

CONTROVERSIAL NZ - Pre and post race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

 

RACE 8 – EVEKARE.COM LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

NEW YORK RAIN NZ - Pre race blood sample. Driver C McDowell was fined $100 under rule 158(1) for failing to fulfil his engagement resulting in a late driving declaration for B Fitzpatrick to drive NEW YORK RAIN NZ. Post race swab sample.

STELLINA - Pre race blood sample. Became unbalanced during the score up for which a warning was issued.

YUKO NZ - Caught racing three wide in the early stages before being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres.

 

RACE 9 – ALLIED EXPRESS APP PACE – 1609 metres

GLIDING AWAY NZ - Driver C McDowell was fined $100 under rule 158(1) for failing to fulfil his engagement resulting in a late driving declaration for L Green to drive GLIDING AWAY NZ. Post race swab sample.

GO JACK RYAN NZ – Hung in rounding the final turn.

ALLSET NZ - Pre race blood sample.

SOLE AMBITION NZ - Pre race blood sample.

BENEATH THE SHADOW – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until being restrained to the tail of the field passing the 1200 metres. Will now be re included into the mobile barrier draw.
