RACE 1 – MAGUIRE'S PACE – 2147 metres

 

BACKPADDOCKJACK – Tired over the concluding stages and beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from respiratory distress. Connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

CATCH THE SHARK – Checked from behind the tiring BACKPADDOCKJACK near the 400 metres.

RACING WRITER – Inconvenienced approaching the 600 metres when HESHARLEY shifted out. Gave ground over the concluding stages of the event. Driver P McRae was queried regarding the performance he stated that it is usually driven forward in its races so he did so again tonight as they were confident of a forward showing but the gelding was under pressure from after leaving the 800 metres, although it did run on again over the final few hundred metres of the event, and he was disappointed with its effort. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from respiratory distress. Trainer T White indicated that it was his intention to send the gelding for a spell following tonight’s run.

HESHARLEY – Driver R Coelli was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that approaching the 600 metres he shifted the gelding out when not sufficiently clear of RACING WRITER which was inconvenienced.

RUSTY EL – Pre-race swab sampled.

ROSIE POLLEN – Fractious in the early part of the score-up. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 2 – PROCESS PRINTERS PACE – 1758 metres

 

HES A TERROR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Slow to begin. Post-race swab sampled.

SHAKEN SANDS – Pre-race swab sampled. Gave ground over the concluding stages after leading, Trainer/Driver C Rauchenberger was queried regarding the below market expectations performance, she stated that she was confident of a forward showing in tonight's race however the mare dropped the bit approaching the 400 metres when HES A TERROR began to gain an advantage over her runner and she was disappointed with its run.

NO MORE PROMISES – Inconvenienced after the start when HES A TERROR was slow to begin. Tired over the concluding stages of the event.

BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

RACE 3 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1758 metres

 

KEAYANG LADYBUG – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, after it was kicked by another runner in the tie-up stalls, and was cleared to start.

KRISTYSGIRL – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

PIRANI PRINCESS – Post-race swab sampled.

MILOLA ROCK – Out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.

QUICKSHIFT GIRL – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and until approaching the 50 metres.

ORAMA – Pre-race swab sampled.

ALL SO SASSY – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

 

RACE 4 – GLENLEE CELLARS PACE – 1758 metres

 

JILLIBY SAFFRON – Pre-race swab sampled.

PAPENHUYZEN NZ – Driver B Micallef was issued with a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that rounding the first turn he shifted the mare in when not sufficiently clear of MURPHYS REWARD NZ which was tightened for room and inconvenienced. Post-race swab sampled.

SCOTTIE MACH – Over-raced in the early stages of the event when caught racing three wide and was difficult to restrain to obtain a position with cover at the rear of the field as a result.

ROYAL EXIT – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start.

MURPHYS REWARD NZ – Tightened for room and inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres when PAPENHUYZEN NZ shifted in.

 

RACE 5 – COPRICE PACE – 1758 metres

 

CRACKER MISS – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.

DEADLINE – Tired over the concluding stages for which a warning was issued.

THE BANKER NZ – Driver M Towers was queried regarding the seemingly improved performance of the gelding, she stated that it had done a few things wrong in two of its past three starts and last start the race was not run to suit after settling back in the field from the wide draw. She added they were reasonably confident of a forward showing tonight, being down in grade and if they were able to get a forward position on the smaller track, which she was able to do. Post-race swab sampled.

BLUES TERROR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

SPREAD THE FEAR – Pre-race swab sampled.

CRIMSON ROCK NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 6 – LEETON SOLDIERS CLUB 2YO PACE – 1758 metres

 

CRANKINOVER – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced roughly approaching the 800 metres, connections were advised the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Checked and contacted marker pegs as a result when KIRPHILBRI and GEE WHIZZING locked wheels near the 600 metres.

SHOOBEES LOU – Post-race swab sampled.

WILLIAM AITCH – Checked and broke gait when KIRPHILBRI and GEE WHIZZING locked wheels near the 600 metres.

KIRPHILBRI – Locked wheels with GEE WHIZZING near the 600 metres, was severely checked and broke gait.

GEE WHIZZING – Raced roughly at various stages throughout the event. Hung-out marginally and locked wheels with KIRPHILBRI near the 600 metres and was checked. Trainer/Driver J Painting reported the gelding was hitting its knee throughout the race and it was his intention to give it a spell after tonight’s performance. Connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial prior to resuming racing.

SET PLAY – Raced roughly for a short distance leaving the 400 metres while rounding the home turn when being shifted wider around IDEAL LILLY.

 

RACE 7 – GREGG STAINES SADDLERY AND CO. PACE – 1758 metres

 

ANYONEFORADRINK – Checked near the 1400 metres when BOY STUNNER broke gait.

TEXAN BRANACH – Broke gait free of interference entering the first turn and veered out while galloping resulting in its sulky wheel being contacted by MISTER RAUDONIKIS and Driver E Jones becoming unbalanced in her sulky. Broke gait again leaving the 1000 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials.

BOY STUNNER – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

LEWENDON – Post-race swab sampled.

GEORGES WORLD – Severely checked and broke gait rounding the first turn when TEXAN BRANACH broke gait. Inconvenienced leaving the 1000 metres when TEXAN BRANACH broke gait again.

JINDALEA JACK – Pre-race swab sampled.

MISTER RAUDONIKIS – Contacted the sulky wheel of the galloping TEXAN BRANACH rounding the first turn and was severely checked and broke gait.

SHOULDBETWOBYTWO – Broke gait free of interference near the 1400 metres, given the mare’s record connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial. Inconvenienced leaving the 1000 metres when TEXAN BRANACH broke gait. Hung-in under pressure rounding the home turn.

SWEET LEILA NZ – Checked and broke gait rounding the first turn when TEXAN BRANACH broke gait. Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

 

RACE 8 – MIA ELECTRICAL SERVICES PACE – 1758 metres

 

ERNIELOVENBOY – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

OKTOLOVE – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, after it slipped in the tie-up stalls, and was cleared to start.

BILLEES JET – Raced roughly rounding the turn approaching the 600 metres and tired over the concluding stages, connections were advised the mare would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

TINNYSMEDAD – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Driver R White was fined the sum of $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for using his whip with an action that was more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight.

 

RACE 9 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1758 metres

 

BAYRIDGE TOMMY – Trainer D Schmetzer was fined $50 under Rule 210 for not declaring a Driver for the gelding by the required time. Inconvenienced leaving the 600 metres when GINGANING shifted-in slightly, and shifted-out inconveniencing ALBY PRIDDY.

CAPTAIN DEEJAY – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

ALBY PRIDDY – Inconvenienced leaving the 600 metres when BAYRIDGE TOMMY shifted out, and raced roughly for a short distance as a result.
