RACE 1 – FARMER JOES A FAMILY BUSINESS TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
BERTINELLI – Post-race swab sample.
KISS ME AT MIDNIGHT – Became unbalanced and galloped leaving the 200 metres for which the filly was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial.
RACING EYES – Pre-race blood sample.
MAJESTIC BART – Became unbalanced during the score up and was out of position at the start. Became unbalanced and galloped again shortly after the start for which the gelding will continue to be placed outside of the mobile barrier draw. Became unbalanced and galloped approaching the 800 metres for which the gelding was issued its last chance to race truly.
ADDICTIVE STRIDE – Out of position at the start and race roughly shortly after the start for which the gelding will continue to be placed outside of the mobile barrier draw. Became unbalanced and galloped approaching the 800 metres for which a warning was issued.
RACE 2 – D M PLUMBING TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres
FONDA RHONDA – Driver L McCarthy was fined $100 under rule 158(1) for failing to fulfill his engagement.
THEBESTBOURBON – Pre-race blood sample.
JUNGLE EYES – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres. Post-race swab sample.
PESCO POLLO – Improved three wide from the 1100 metres until obtaining the position outside of the leader leaving the 1000 metres.
RACE 3 – MENANGLE PARK PAC E- 1609 metres
TIGERLICIOUS – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1150 metres. Post-race swab sample.
POWERLINC – Pre-race blood sample.
KING COREY – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 29.9 metres and finished in last position. Driver W Rixon explained he was disappointed in the gelding’s overall performance in today’s event and could offer no further explanation. Stewards noted his comments.
TRISTAR FOR CHRIS – Shifted in leaving the 100 metres and placed REIGN MAKER in restricted room for a short distance.
BENTLY BULLET – It was reported to Stewards following the event that the number three near side carrying strap had come undone during the event.
REIN MAKER – Tightened leaving the 100 metres when racing to the inside of TRISTAR FOR CHRIS which shifted in momentarily.
RACE 4 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL PACE – 1609 metres
LACHIES IDEAL – Slow to score up and was out of position at the start for which a warning was issued.
MADAZALWAYS – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
JACQUELINE ROSE NZ – Driver B McDonough was issued a reprimand under rule 168(1)(a) for careless driving in that leaving the 300 metres he has allowed JACQUELINE ROSE NZ to make contact with the off side sulky tyre of THE GREAT WAVE resulting in that runner sustaining a flat tyre. In not taking more severe action Stewards were mindful of the minor contact to THE GREAT WAVE and also the racing manners of JACQUELINE ROSE NZ at that point.
JOHNNY TANG – Pre-race blood sample. Hampered and paced roughly shortly after the start when ADERFAKI had hung in to its outside.
ADERFAKI – Hung in after the start momentarily and tightened the racing of JOHNNY TANG for a short distance.
APEX STRIDE – Post-race swab sample.
THE GREAT WAVE – A delay was required to the start of this event to allow the track attendants to affix a lugging pole to the near side of the horse. Had its off side sulky wheel contacted passing the 300 metres and as a result carried a flat tyre for the remainder of the event.
MICHAEL CAINE NZ – Out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight and was not fully tested.
RACE 5 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP PACE (NICK ROBIN HEAT 1) – 1609 metres
SUNSET STRIDE – Presented approximately 10 minutes late to this event after trainer S Hewitt had vehicle difficulties enroute to the course. As Mr Hewitt had kept in contact with Stewards and Stewards were able to confirm the vehicle issues with Mr Hewitt’s car no further action was taken. Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ – Failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 35.8 metres and finished in last position. Mr Gallagher explained that he was disappointed in the performance of the gelding in today’s event noting the gelding had been racing well when leading around Newcastle in recent times. Mr Gallagher explained that it would be the connections intention to freshen the gelding up prior to resuming racing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
NOTHINGBUTWAVES – Trainer K Morris was fined $50 under rule 210 for failing to declare herself as the driver by the prescribed time.
DOUG FLAME – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 6 – ULTRA AIR PACE (NICK ROBIN HEAT 2) – 1609 metres
WILLS WAY – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 30.9 metres and finished in last position.
THERES WALLY – Hung in between the 1100 and 950 metres.
FLO RYDA NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
MICHAYWEY – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1300 metres.
YUKON BE SERIOUS NZ – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 7 – WOODLANDS STUD PACE (NICK ROBIN HEAT 3) – 1609 metres
SODOYAHAVTIME NZ – Pre-race blood sample.
LOVE LOU – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 24.5 metres and finished in eighth position. Driver J Taaffe explained that he was disappointed in the gelding’s performance in today’s event as he was able to find the lead and dictate from the front however he felt that the gelding may not have suited the travel down during the hot weather in today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
PRINCESS MICKAYLA – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion and was not fully tested.
SKITTLE BOMB NZ – Post-race swab sample.
ARGENT PEAK – Over raced when positioned outside of the leader and failed to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 31.7 metres and finished in last position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from a slow post-race recovery.
MONTEFIORE NZ – Raced three wide throughout the event.
RACE 8 – MULTIQUIP AGGREGATES PACE – 1609 metres
OUR UNCLE JIM – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.
OUTSIDE FIGHTER – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having competed in excess of 200 race starts. No obvious abnormalities were detected on either examination.

PICCADILLY PETE NZ – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
SMOOTH BUZZ – Worked forward to obtain the lead passing the 1300 metres.
