RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1980 metres.

THE POOBAH – Suffered a bleeding attack during the race. Trainer Mr I Mabbott was advised that the gelding is now subject to a three month stand down period and prior to competing satisfactorily in an official qualifying trial must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its fitness.

ROCKNROLL TONY – When questioned in relation to the performance driver C Formosa explained, that the gelding over raced in an uncovered position outside the lead and when placed under pressure inside the seven hundred metres was unresponsive and could not improve. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised that prior to racing again ROCKNROLL TONY must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

HEAVENLY SONG – Broke stride free of any external factors approaching the home turn and galloped for a short distance. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

MAC STUBBORN – Pulled hard during the middle stages.

BRING YOUR BEST – Hampered and had to be shifted wider inside the 600 metres when attempting to avoid THE POOBAH.

AGENT CALLAN – Had to be checked for a considerable distance and lost ground when racing behind THE POOBAH inside the 700 metres, when that runner weakened noticeably.

ILLAWONG DANNY – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 2 – LONGYARD HOTEL PACE – 1609 metres

RIVERGUM VELOX – Pre-race blood sample. Broke stride free of any external factors near the 500 metres and galloped before being restrained. Connections were advised that prior to racing again the gelding must perform tractably in an official qualifying trial.

ONEDINS CRUSADE – Broke stride during the score up on the first occasion and caused a false start. Connections were advised that the filly would now be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Raced greenly throughout. Post-race swab sample.

NEED SOME AIR – When being shifted wider inside the four hundred metres to go forward contacted the sulky of GERRYS JEWEL, blundered and was unbalanced for a short distance. Subsequently driver C Formosa was reprimanded under AR 168(1)(a) for failing to allow sufficient clearance for her runner’s front legs when manoeuvring into clear running.

 

RACE 3 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1980 metres

SAFE JEWELS – Raced in restricted room for some distance approaching the home turn then was unable to obtain clear running in the home straight and went to the finish without being tested.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations. Post-race swab sample.

AMILLION PROMISES – Pre-race blood sample.

 

RACE 4 – PETERMAC ON-COURSE PHOTOGRAPHY PACE – 1980 metres

DOLLY MISS MOLLY – Broke stride free of any external factors passing the 1700 metres and galloped. Trainer/driver D Brown was advised that the mare would now be subject to a stand down period of 28 days and prior to racing again must perform tractably in four official qualifying trials.

HEY DUDE – When questioned in relation to the performance driver B Hughes said that the gelding was unsuited by racing without cover outside the lead and over raced for some distance. He said that inside the 700 meters the gelding began to weaken and near the 400 metres locked wheels with CAROLSDIAMOND resulting in it having to be checked severely and losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised that a warning for poor performance would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

CAROLSDIAMOND – Hampered and had to be shifted wider near the 1700 metres when attempting to avoid DOLLY MISS MOLLY. Locked wheels near the 400 metres when improving to the inside of HEY DUDE which was weakening at that point.

IM NO GIFT – Post-race swab sample.

GIRLSGOTCURLS – Had to be checked for some distance approaching the 1700 metres when attempting to avoid DOLLY MISS MOLLY.

HEAVENLY TURBO – Pre-race blood sample. Hung in when placed under pressure inside the 150 metres and was difficult to drive.

A LITTLE DILEMMA – Hampered and had to be shifted wider near the 1700 metres when attempting to avoid DOLLY MISS MOLLY.

SPOOKY ART – Had to be checked and shifted in abruptly approaching the 1700 metres when attempting to avoid DOLLY MISS MOLLY.

MUSTANG MUSCLE – Had to be checked and forced wider passing the 1700 metres when attempting to avoid DOLLY MISS MOLLY.

 

RACE 5 – WISHING CLERK – GREG JOHNS A FULL RECOVERY PACE – 1980 metres.

ELLIE RIPPIN – Pulled hard for some distance in the early stages when attempting to obtain cover. Gave ground inside the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ROCKNROLL CLARRY – Pre-race blood sample. Locked wheels momentarily rounding the home turn with MY ULTIMATE HUGO.

TRALEE SNICKAS – post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 6 – COUNTRY AT THE TRACK – 23^RD JANUARY 2026 PACE – 1980 metres

TASMANS DELIGHT – Driver A Varga was cautioned in relation to the manner that he applied the whip inside the 100 metres.

TIGERMAC – post-race swab sample.

LACHIES GAMBLE – Pre-race blood sample. Following required satisfactory performance connections were advised that the gelding would now be eligible to take its place in the mobile barrier draw. Driver T Brown was cautioned in relation to the manner that he applied the whip in the home straight.

 

RACE 7 – COUNTRY AT THE TRACK TICKETS FROM OZTIX PACE – 1609 metres

PURE DRAGON – Post-race swab sample.

DOUGS RULES – Pre-race blood sample.

PARIS PRINCESS – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages, then broke stride free of any external factors passing the 400 metres and galloped for a short distance. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s racing record.

 

RACE 8 – FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM PACE – 1609 metres.

RENROW LAD – Raced roughly for a short distance rounding the turn after the start then again rounding the turn inside the six hundred metres. Trainer/driver D Mackney was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record.

CARRAMAR OLAM – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

SUPERBON – Hampered and had to be shifted wider inside the six hundred metres when racing behind RENROW LAD when that runner was unbalanced.

CUT GLASS NZ – Fractious during the score up and difficult to drive into position. Connections were advised that the gelding would continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw. Forced slightly wider inside the 600 metres when racing outside SUPERBON which had to be shifted wider to avoid RENROW LAD.

 

RACE 9 – TAMTROTS @ GOLDEN GUITAR PACEWAY PACE – 1980 metres

HE SAID SHE SAID – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

ESCALERA NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Had to be steadied momentarily inside the four hundred metres when racing tight on the inside of ROCK FISHERMAN which shifted in marginally.

ROCK FISHERMAN – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examinations.

ALLSOPP – When questioned in relation to the performance driver B Hughes explained, that the gelding was unsuited to racing outside the lead without cover, over raced for a considerable distance and would not settle. He said that because of this when placed under pressure inside the four hundred metres the gelding was unable to respond and ran to the finish in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
