Followers of harness racing in New South Wales can look forward to the benefits of a new media centre which was launched at the centre’s studio at Menangle tonight.
The media centre will provide coverage to the public like never before. Visitors to harnessmediacentre.com.au will be able to watch previews for every NSW TAB harness meeting. Additional trial replays from Bathurst, Newcastle, and Penrith will also be available for the very first time.
“It’s something the public expects,” said outgoing HRNSW CEO Sam Nati.
“At the moment the media centre is still in its early stages but moving forward visitors can look forward to an expansion of iForm, live streaming of feature race meetings, colour stories and a magazine style program. At this stage we are looking at an uninterrupted live streaming from Eugowra’s TAB Carnival of Cups meeting and we are in early discussions with the Bathurst Club re their grand opening at the Mt Panorama site on October 21.”
The media centre is a joint venture between the New South Wales Harness Racing Club and Harness Racing NSW.
NSWHRC CEO Bruce Christison is very excited about the project.
“This will help take us into the next era in terms of technology,” he said.
“The media centre will provide access to all sections of our industry from the one site. From racing and integrity to the clubs and media.
“We’ve been on the front foot with this initiative and hopefully the other states will see the benefits. We’re thrilled to be part of what the future holds.”
National Trotguide and its sister publication Harness Racing Weekly will also have direct links to the website with plans in place to put both publications in the near future.
Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) is the controlling body for harness racing in New South Wales with responsibility for commercial and regulatory management of the industry including 31 racing clubs across the State. HRNSW is headed by an industry-appointed Board of Directors and is independent of Government.
