Betts steps up

24 February 2021

A handful of the state’s leading reinswomen will be looking to get some practice at Bathurst tonight.

That is because they are preparing for the Lady Drivers Invitational at Tabcorp Park Menangle this Saturday night.
Originally top driver Amanda Turnbull (pictured right) was asked to contest the invitational event, however, with a starter in the race with last start winner Bundoran, she was ineligible to compete.
Instead, fellow Western Districts driver Phoebe Betts (pictured left) took her place.
Betts has three drives at Bathurst tonight.
Other reinswomen in the feature going around at Bathurst tonight include Emma Turnbull, Amy Day and Ellen Rixon.
Turnbull has landed the drive on the Emma Stewart-trained Rockasaki this weekend.
She is no stranger to winning the race having won the 2016 edition with the Belinda McCarthy-trained All Eyes On Us.
