Still driven to succeed after 20 years

6 October 2022

Former harness racing steward Peter Jnr Green drove his first winner in 20 years.

He delivered the special moment at Eugowra’s Carnival of Cups meeting on Monday on the Malcolm Smith-trained Rogervalerio Lombo.
Green began driving in the 1994/95 season and was one of the leading young drivers at Harold Park before a career change and becoming a steward.
Green then began training thoroughbreds and in 2018/19 made a return to harness racing.
The 44-year-old heads to Penrith tonight for one drive on the Richard Camilleri-trained Franco Forza in race eight.

The iForm best bets for Thursday:

Penrith best bet
Race 6: Minimum Wage (7)
Despite an awkward gate might prove too classy getting a massive drop in grade.

Penrith next best
Race 4: Grey Cadillac (10)
Patchy form against stronger opposition suggests he keeps the leading fancies very honest.

Tamworth best bet
Race 3: Jogalong Blue (3)
Racing well, should lead again and prove hard to run down.
