Amanda ready for a Miracle

1 March 2023

Bathurst horsewoman Amanda Turnbull will get her chance to add her name to the Miracle Mile honour roll this Saturday night.

The top reinswoman has secured the drive on Victorian pacer Hurricane Harley.
“After he finished second in the Sprint on Saturday, owners Bill and Anne Anderson came up to me and asked if I would drive him,” said Turnbull.
“He’s a bit of a quirky horse to drive so they were happy to use someone that has driven him before and its great to be part of the race.”
Turnbull has driven Hurricane Harley 10 times for five wins.
Hurricane Harley is a $15 chance to win the race.
If Turnbull is successful, she will be just the fourth female driver to win the Miracle Mile.
Kellie Kersley was the first when successful with Norms Daughter in 1996.
Jodi Quinlan then won the 2004 edition with Sokyola and Natalie Rasmussen won with Have Faith In Me in 2016.
Turnbull will drive at Bathurst tonight before her major commitment this weekend.
The Team Teal ambassador had a big night at Menangle last weekend winning the Lady Drivers Invitation as well as the Group 1 NSW Oaks with Windy Hill Tara.
Turnbull’s win with Port Au Prince in the ladies race raised $2800 towards the Team Teal campaign.
