Evergreen Don chasing start 290

Evergreen pacer Don Boston will have his 290th start when he fronts at Newcastle tonight.

The 14-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful season so far, winning two races and placing five times in his 12 starts.

Overall Don Boston boasts 45 career wins and 70 placings with lifetime stakes of $375,307.

Reinsman Jack Brown, who has partnered the gelding 11 times for three wins and four placings, will drive Don Boston tonight.

Brown recently reached a century of wins in his career and has four drives across tonight’s meeting.

Meanwhile, fellow Menangle-trained pacer Montalbano will be aiming for his first win for the season at Newcastle.

The gelding will race in a heat of the NSW Bred – a new initiative by Harness Racing NSW where heats are held across the state, culminating in a $30,000 final at Menangle in June.
