Race 8, Run Viv Run

Stewards at Wagga on the 31^st of July concluded an inquiry into an incident in the above race that resulted in RUN VIV RUN breaking gait and falling approaching the 200 metres.. It was established that leaving the 400 metres, the gelding hung-out and improved into a narrow gap despite the efforts its Driver and as a result contacted the sulky wheel of ALABAMA TIFF broke gait and fell a short distance later. Given the circumstances, connections were advised the gelding would be required to complete a re-qualifying trial.
