RACE 1 –TAB.COM.AUPACE – 1770 metres
Pre-race Swab samples were taken from SIR LASNIK.
OSCAR THE GREAT was examined by the Club Vet and found to have a swollen near fore tendon and was a late scratching at 5.50pm.
Leaving the 1600m SILK BANYULA (S Adams) broke stride for which a warning was issued.
From the 250m mark and for some distance POWER TO BOLT (P Doody) commenced to shift ground whilst having LITTLE POM (S Osmond) racing to his outside resulting in this runner being checked. Driver P Doody was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference.
CRIME TIME (M Hawke) over raced during the event.
A post-race Swab sample was taken from the winner CRIME TIME.
RACE 2 – J W O’SULLIVAN & SONS THREE YEAR OLD PACE – 1770 metres
Pre-race Swab samples were taken from MAJOR HUSS.
Approaching the 1600m BEAUTIMOUS (K O’Sullivan) raced roughly and over raced during the event.
Nearing the 850m ELECT TO ROCK (N Day) commenced a three wide run giving a trail to SWORD AND SHEILD (D Hewitt).
Approaching the 450m BEAUTIMOUS started to tire and checked JULENJODE. When questioned Miss O’Sullivan stated that it was the first time she had asked that horse to go forward at the start and the horse had become keen as a result. Her comments were noted.
TO BE FEARED (C McElhinney) was held up late.
A post-race Swab was taken from the winner SWORD AND SHEILD.
RACE 3 –KEVIN & KAY SEMOUR PACE –2170 metres
Pre-race Swab samples were taken from THE RESTAURANTEUR.
After the start commenced JAY PEEZ OFFICIAL (S Osmond) was caught three wide early and worked forward, thus giving a trail to KAMWOOD IZZY (D Druitt) which worked forward to lead the event from the 1600m.
Approaching 1200m CHERRY SWEET PEACH (N Hoy) worked forward to race outside the leader.
Leaving the 400m JAY PEEZ OFFICIAL began to tire out of the event. It was examined by the Club Vet and no abnormalities were reported. When question Driver S Osmond stated that the horse was contacting its own sulky and made it race keener than planned. He also informed that both He and the Trainer were disappointed with the horse’s performance and the Trainer advised that the horse was to be spelled. JAY PEEZ OFFICAL was stood down for 28 days and 1 requalifying trial for poor performance.
KAMWOOD IZZY to be placed back in Mobile Draw.
A post-race Swab sample was taken from the winner KAMWOOD IZZY.
RACE 4 – OSKAR MEMBORIALS QUEANBEYAN PACE – 1770 metres
Pre-race swab samples were taken from CHARLIE TANGO.
BREXITT (S Adams) was out of position at the start, when questioned Driver S Adams stated that she may have misjudged and she was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position by the starting point.
TWO REAL (A Day) was out of position at the start, when questioned Driver A Day was told to make more effort in the future and reprimanded under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position by the starting point.
HARRISON PAUL (S Osmond) was caught three wide for the early stages of the event and worked forward to obtain a trail behind the leader near the 1100m.
ABOUT THE ATTITUDE (M Hawke) over raced during the event.
Approaching the 500m CHARLIE TANGO (J Grimson) started to tire from the event, when questioned Driver J Grimson stated that due to the fast tempo of the race and the horse’s ability he was placed at a disadvantage. The horse was examined by the Club Vet and no abnormalities were reported. In view of the performance a warning was issued.
Leaving the 400m MINI MAJOR was placed in restricted room when positioned to the inside of HARRISON PAUL which was taken inwards away from BREXITT (S Adams) which shifted in. Driver S Adams was issued a reprimand under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference.
A post-race swab sample was taken from the winner BREXITT.
RACE 5 – GLEN MIA SADDLERY ACT PACE – 1770 metres
Pre-race swab samples were taken from CLEMENTSORREL.
TOPSIE GRINNER (J Grimson) hung out after start.
Due to the increase in tempo of the last half mile of the event both CLEMENTSORRELL (D Morris) and NED PEPPER (J Seary) where left flat footed when the speed was increased.
A post-race swab sample was taken from the winner TOPSIE GRINNER.
RACE 6 – QUEANBEYAN PREMIX CONCRETE PACE– 1770 metres
Pre-race swab samples were taken from ANNIE MATILDA.
ALLSTAR SEA (D Hewitt) broke after start for which a warning was issued.
GOLD ONYX (D Morris) was caught three wide early and worked forward to race outside the leader from the 1300m.
A post-race swab sample was taken from the winner RECIPE FOR DREAMING NZ.
