RACE 1 – TEMORA EX-SERVICES MEMORIAL CLUB PACE – 2000 metres

 

SPIRITED – Pre-race blood samples were taken. 

WHITE POINTER – After showing gate speed and settling in a trailing position, tired and shall be required to perform one requalifying trial.

LITTLE ARCHIE – Post-race swab samples were taken. 

RUN VIV RUN – Broke turning out of the home straight on the first occasion and shall be required to perform one requalifying trial.

HEZA CONMAN – Pre-race blood samples were taken.

 

RACE 2 – SOUTH WEST SLOPES CREDIT UNION P0ACE – 2000 metres

 

NIFTY JOLT – Checked on the first turn as a result of EASTBRO KATIE galloping.

EASTBRO KATIE – Hung out on the first turn and galloped.  It shall be required to perform one requalifying trial.

KILLARA JUGGERNAUT – Post-race swab samples were taken. 

THE LURKER – Pre-race blood samples were taken.

HEART ATTACK STACK – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  The veterinarian inspected HEART ATTACK STACK as it had blood in its mouth on returning after the race and reported it had a slight cut to the inside of its mouth.

 

RACE 3 – MILBRAE QUARRIES PACE – 2000 metres

 

COURAGEOUS WAYS – Pre-race blood samples were taken.

TRUNKEY TASH – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Inconvenienced shortly after the start as a result of NEPTUNES WARRIOR hanging in.

NEPTURNES WARRIOR – Hung in shortly after the start and a warning was issued.

LIFEOFBRIAN NZ – Post-race swab samples were taken. 

ALTA DOWNS – After showing gate speed hung in on the first turn and galloped then had a tendency to over race during the event.  Near the 500 metres contacted and flattened the tyre of DANCING IN AMERICA, the runner which he was trailing.  ALTA DOWNS shall be required to perform one requalifying trial.

DANCING IN AMERICA – Sustained a flat tyre near the 500 metres and was retired from the event.  The club’s veterinarian inspected DANCING IN AMERICA and reported no abnormalities.

 

RACE 4 – BFB & NEW EARTHMOVING TEMORA PACERS CUP – 2360 metres

 

GOD SAKE – Checked after the start.  Hung in on the final turn.  Contacted several marker pegs.

HARRY OVENS – Checked after the start.

SCARLET BABE – Galloped from the barrier and a warning was issued.  Whilst in a gallop locked wheels with THE MUSTANG.

GOTTA PARTY DOLL NZ – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Post-race swab samples were taken. 

MO CASINO NZ – Checked after the start as a result of SCARLET BABE galloping.  After being checked by its driver  the bit pulled through the gelding’s mouth placing the driver at some difficulty.

THE MUSTANG – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Locked wheels shortly after the start with SCARLET BABE as a result of SCARLET BABE galloping and was severely checked.

 

RACE 5 – RAY NEW MEMORIAL – 2000 metres

 

AMELIA REGAL – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  At the request of the trainer the club’s veterinarian inspected AMELIA REGAL as she was of the opinion it had sustained an injury on the way to the track.  The veterinarian reported no abnormalities.

BABYLON BAMBI – Hung out near the 700 metres and tired badly.  A subsequent veterinary examination reported no abnormalities and the mare shall be required to perform one requalifying trial.

EAGLES RESPONSE – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Broke shortly after the start and shall be drawn wide in future mobile barrier events.  The mare then broke mid-race and a warning was issued.

LADY SWISS – Post-race swab samples were taken. 

IMPERIALS GEM – Inconvenienced near the 600 metres.

 

RACE 6 – JAN JOYCE PACE – 2000 metres

 

Prior to the running of this event FOREST FURY whilst doing its preliminary had the off side rein become detached from the bit and the horse bolted for some 600 metres prior to being collected by the clerk of the course.  The club’s veterinarian inspected FOREST FURY and was of the opinion it was unfit to take its place in the event and as a result was a late scratching @ 9.04pm.  SPORTS BOUNTY was a late scratching at 9.02pm after it had reared during its preliminary and got its leg over the sulky shaft. The club’s veterinarian was of the opinion the gelding was unfit to take its place in the event.  As a result of these two scratchings, deductions of 19 cents a win and 17 cents a place was announced prior to the all-clear on all winning bets placed prior to the scratchings.

 

ROCKIN IN CHELSEA – Slow to begin.

SPORTS BOUNTY – Stood down for seven days.

DEVELSTIX – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Broke shortly after the start and a warning was issued.

FOREST FURY – Trainer A Smithers was fined $200 under Rule 273(2)(b) for insecure gear.

DUST TO DIAMONDS – Post-race swab samples were taken. 

REDBANK CREEK – Tired and a warning was issued.

 

RACE 7 – TERMINUS HOTEL PACE – 2000 metres

 

FUNNILY ENOUGH – Pre-race blood samples were taken. 

SIX AGAIN – Showed gate speed to lead in the early stages of the event and when contesting the lead broke on the first turn.  A warning was issued.  A veterinary examination of SIX AGAIN reported it sustained a minor cut to its off side pastern.

MOVIN MILLIONS – Post-race swab samples were taken. 

MICKEYS HOUSE – Fractions in the score up and a warning was issued.  Whilst contesting the lead on the first turn broke free of interference.  The gelding became uncontrollable and driver Abbie Howell who was very inexperienced had difficulty controlling the gelding and it went inside the marker pegs placing her at a disadvantage and it was collected by the clerk of the course and retired from the event and shall be required to perform one requalifying trial.  Subsequent to the race Stewards spoke with trainer Adam Bellach and suggested to him that a more experienced driver should be engaged for its next few starts before again given the drive to an inexperienced reins person.

NORTHERN EAGLE – Pre-race blood samples were taken. 

BETTERTHANTHEBOYZ – Checked on the first turn as a result of MICKEYS HOUSE and SIX AGAIN galloping.

KARINYA JUDE – Checked and broke on the first turn as a result of MICKEYS HOUSE and SIX AGAIN galloping.

 

RACE 8 – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE – 2000 metres

 

CHUBBS – Pre-race blood samples were taken.  Slow to begin.

MILLYS PRINCE – Post-race swab samples were taken. .

SMOKIN TALLY – Pre-race blood samples were taken.

CHIP GANASSI NZ – Had a tendency to over race at various stages during the event.

ACE IN OUR POCKET – Pulled hard in the latter stages of the score up
