RACE 1 – HES WATCHING @ TIPPERARY EQUINE PACE – 1740 metres

 

SPRINKLE OF LOVE – Post-race swab sampled.

THE BIDGEE BLASTER – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start.

JUSTROLLINGAROUND – Had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event. Hung-out near the 200 metres.

SMOKIN POCKET – Pre-race swab sampled.

SCULLY – Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 2 – STEEL SUPPLIES PACE – 1740 metres

 

TASSIE SAFARI – Broke gait under pressure upon entering the home straight, for which a warning was issued.

SPORTING ROBYN NZ – Post-race swab sampled.

KAILANI LASS – Pre-race swab sampled. Hung in during the score-up and was out of position at the start, connections were advised that it would continue to be placed outside the draw in mobile start races. Raced roughly leaving the 400 metres, for which a warning was issued.

 

RACE 3 – HARNESS TRADING RING AUSTRALIA PACE – 1740 metres

 

CONROD KENZE – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

CINDAROCKINRELLA – Trainer’s representative G Hoy was fined $100 under Rule 273(2)(b) for starting the mare in insecure gear after one of the off side hopple strap came undone near the 1200 metres resulting in the mare being retired from the event.

BARKWAY DULCIE – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 12 years old, and was cleared to start. Fractious during the score-up and was out of position at the start, given the mare’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.

THE LURKER – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – MODERN ART @ LOCHEND STUD PACE – 1740 metres

 

EASTBRO TEX – Hung-out under pressure in the home straight.

IMPERIOUS – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 5 – CONQUEST POOLS PACE – 2270 metres

 

COUNTRY GRAMMAR NZ – Tired over the concluding stages for which a warning was issued.

FUNNILY ENOUGH – Driver T Doherty was fined the sum of $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for using his whip with an action that was more than a wrist only flicking motion in the home straight.

EASTBRO KATIE – Pre-race swab sampled. Worked forward to take over the lead from EASTBRO KATIE near the 1800 metres.

HARD TO LOVE – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 6 – ULTIMATE MACHETE @ TIPPERARY EQUINE LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres

 

CAMS PEARL – Unable to obtain a clear run in the home straight.

ALLY ROGAN – Tightened for room when racing to the inside of CRYSTAL TIARA approaching the 200 metres, when that runner hung-in.

LOOKINFORAREASON – Raced roughly for a short distance near the 1400 metres. Hung-in under pressure in the home straight.

SWEDISH MEATBALLS – Post-race swab sampled.

LIFE GETS BETTER – Pre-race swab sampled.

SHEZA CRACKER – Unable to obtain a clear run in the home straight.

CRYSTAL TIARA – Raced three wide without cover from approaching the 1200 metres. Hung-in approaching the 200 metres.

 

RACE 7 – MCWICKED @ COBBITTY EQUINE PACE – 1740 metres

 

FAMOUS THREE – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.

KEAYANG TREASURE – Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position on the marker pegs at the rear of the field near the 1200 metres.

SPORTS BOUNTY – Trainer C Watson was given the opportunity to comment on the seemingly improved performance of the gelding, he stated that he felt it was down in grade from its previous start. He added that he was also of the view that the gelding races better on the bigger track of today’s meeting and with the good draw was able to obtain its favoured forward position in the early stages of the event and run along at an even tempo. He further added that he had recently slightly increased the frequency of how often he hopples his runners, which he felt was showing improved results in particular with this gelding. Post-race swab sampled.

NORMS COURAGE – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

KAHLIADENISE LOMBO – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

 

RACE 8 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1740 metres

 

OUR SIR JACK – Hung-out during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued. Hung-in at stages throughout the race, and contacted marker pegs as a result approaching the 200 metres, for which a warning was issued. Tired over the concluding stages.

GOOD TIME NEDRA – Broke gait free of interference leaving the 600 metres, for which a warning was issued.

TUNGSTEN TERROR – Post-race swab sampled.

MISS MODERN RUBY – Inconvenienced leaving the 600 metres when GOOD TIME NEDRA broke gait.

SOME CHANGE NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.

ILLTELLYOUNOTHING – Inconvenienced during the latter part of the score-up when OUR SIR JACK was out of position.

BLACK DERBY – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres.
