General:
Trainer K. Pizzuto was fined $150 under Rule 238 for failing to obey a direction in regards to dress code.
RACE 1 – CLUB MENANGLE 2YO TROTTERS ARIZONA BLUE – HEAT 3 - 1609metres
TARENTAISE – Near the 800 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.
MAXIMUS MEREDIUS – Post-race swab sample.
MYTHICAL RAINBOW – Broke after the start. Will continue to be placed outside the draw in mobile starts.
PHOENIX RED – Pre-race blood sample. Broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Will continue to be placed outside the draw in mobile starts.
YUKOND ME NZ – Broke after the start. Will continue to be placed right outside the draw in future mobile starts.
RACE 2 – SUPER SPRINT WITH ALLCOTT TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300metres
LOVE WHO – Out of position at the start and then broke after the start. Will now be placed outside the draw in future mobile starts. Near the 700 metres shied from the sulky of LIZZIES SON which shifted out and was checked and broke.
KYLIES LIFE – Post-race swab sample.
ELLOWEEN – Pre-race blood sample.
RACE 3 – BUBBA GUMP PEST CONTROL TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300metres
MONARCH STRIDE – Post-race swab sample.
FLASH KYVALLEY – Pre-race blood sample.
MELPARK MAGIC – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to competing in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.
DOWN UNDE EARL – Broke after the start. A warning was issued.
ITZFERGIETIME – Near the 350 metres became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.
RED HARBOUR NZ – Galloped out at the start. Will continue to be placed right outside the draw in future mobile starts.
RACE 4 – MCWICKED JOINS COBBITTY EQUINE PACE – 1609metres
OPERATIVE ANNA – Near the 600 metres the number 2 carrying strap on the near side broke and as a result the mare became unbalanced and galloped. In the circumstances no action was taken.
FIFTYSHADES CRESCO – Near the 600 metres was checked and broke when OPERATIVE ANNA broke.
KNIGHT WALKER – Post-race swab sample.
BENTLY BULLET – Inconvenienced after the start when ULTIMATE AD broke.
MONTEREI DUKE – Pre-race blood sample. Shifted out under pressure over the final 200 metres. Driver D. Cernovskis was reprimanded under Rule 162(1)(www)(a) for failing to make sufficient effort to prevent the gelding from shifting out.
BETTOR SENSATION NZ – Inconvenienced after the start when ULTIMATE AD broke.
ULTIMATE AD – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to competing in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination. Broke after the start. A warning was issued.
RACE 5 – FARMER JOES A FAMILY BUSINESS PACE – 1609metres
ABRIDGED – Stewards opened an inquiry into the driving tactics of Driver J. Stanford over the final 300 metres of the event. After taking initial evidence from Trainer/Driver J. Stanford, the inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed. Stewards acting under Rule 183(a) stood the gelding down from racing until such time that inquiry is re-scheduled. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
OUR ULTIMATE IVY NZ – Trainer J. Alchin was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver. Stewards questioned Trainer J. Alchin in regards to the performance of the filly which performed below market expectations ($1.50). J. Alchin stated that the filly was disappointing in its effort today however has only performed well when leading or racing on the marker pegs. J. Alchin further added that the filly will now leave his stable and continue its career within a different stable. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards intend to speak with Driver B. McDonough in regards to leaving the course when required to attend the Stewards room.
CONSIDER IT DONE – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to not racing for in excess of 12 months. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.

THE MOUNTAIN – Pre-race blood sample.
AGIFTFROMTHEANGELS – Raced roughly at various stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
RACE 6 – IRT HORSE TRANSPORT PACE – 1609metres
MAJOR OBAHMA – Trainer D & K McDowell were fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver.
FIRE AND SWORD – Pre-race blood sample.
BLAZING SHANNON – Post-race swab sample.
FOXY DADA – Hung in after the start.
RACE 7 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP LADYSHIP PACE – 1609metres
MY CRACKLING ROSIE – Trainer S. Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver. Stewards questioned Driver B. Hewitt in regards to the performance. B. Hewitt stated that considering the mare was racing up in class today along with the quicker times recorded he wasn’t overly disappointed with the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
HELLOFALASS – Stewards questioned Driver D. Morris in regards to the performance of the mare. D. Morris stated that the mare was racing up in class today following winning 2 races in quick succession and wasn’t suited to racing off the marker pegs with cover. D. Morris added that the mare is one-paced and best suited when able to lead and run even time. Stewards noted the comments.
TAKE IT DOWN – Pre-race blood sample. Rounding the first turn became unbalanced and galloped. A warning was issued.
RACE 8 – ALLIED EXPRESS SPECIALISED LOGISTICS PACE – 1609metres
VINKE B NZ – A false start was declared on the first occasion when the gelding had a gear malfunction that required attention.
RAGING SEA – Trainer S. Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 210 for the late declaration of driver. Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
TIMELY SOVEREIGN – Underwent a pre and post-race veterinary examination due to competing in excess of 200 race starts. No abnormalities were detected on either examination.
PRINCE OF PEACE – Stewards questioned Driver L. Green in regards to the performance of the horse which weakened over the final 100 metres. L. Green stated that the horse over-raced whilst leading and therefore recorded times much quicker then he would have liked which then took away its ability to finish the race off. Trainer D. McDowell added that the horse became stirred up following the false start which contributed to it over-racing. Stewards noted the comments.
