RACE 1 – AUSTRALIAN HOTEL PACE – 1720 metres
JACKS LAST HOO RAA – Hung-out entering the first turn. Post-race swab sampled.
PARK RUN – Hung-out during the latter part of the score-up.
KAMENDABLE FEELING – Hung-in during the latter part of the score-up. Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader near the 1400 metres.
EYES FOR DOLLARS – Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position on the marker pegs at the rear of the field leaving the 1000 metres. Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
LA BOMBA – Pre-race swab sampled. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn. Contacted marker pegs near the 200 metres, when attempting to take a run to the inside of FOREVER BETTOR NZ where there was restricted room. Driver J Locke was fined $50 under Rule 163(1)(c)(ii) for allowing the mare’s sulky wheel to contact a number of marker pegs.
RACE 2 – POPPA’S FUDGE FACTORY PACE – 1720 metres
General – The start of this race was re-scheduled to 6.40pm as a result of the on-course paramedics being required to attend to a patron. The following race times were also re-scheduled to: Race 3 – 7.05pm, Race 4 – 7.30pm, Race 5 – 7.56pm.
ARENA QUEEN – Held up for clear running until approaching the 100 metres.
ELECTRA GIRL – Tired over the concluding stages of the race.
JEKAMIAS NZ – Raced roughly during the score-up and a false start was declared, for which a warning was issued. Post-race swab sampled.
CHANGE OF MIND – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Pre-race swab sampled.
OH ONE JOB – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
RACE 3 – SWSCU PACE – 2100 metres
SPAG BOLL – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1600 metres and near the 1400 metres, given the gelding’s record connections were advised that it would be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days and would be required to perform 2 re-qualifying trials. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
MY FRIEND MOLLY – Tired over the concluding stages of the race. When given the opportunity to comment on the performance, Driver J Turnbull stated that the filly is not suited to racing outside the leader. He added he did not want to settle in that position but when he was unable to cross SPAG BOLL in the early stages and BARRY LIMBO was able to cross to the lead he was left in that position and no other runner improved during the middle to stages to give his runner cover. Trainer N Turnbull stated that it was his intention to review the filly’s current preparation following its performance in tonight’s race.
GEOFFREY BEE – Pre-race swab sampled.
BARRY LIMBO – Post-race swab sampled.
MARVELLOUS MAC – Inconvenienced and contacted marker pegs near the 1600 metres when SPAG BOLL broke gait.
RACE 4 – TRIMECH PACE – 1720 metres
General – The first attempt to start this race was aborted shortly after the score-up commenced when CHARGING BULL was fractious and its sulky was contacted by ESTHER RISING causing the sulky to break, requiring a replacement to be fitted. The next attempt to start the race was then further delayed due to the track needing to be dragged to remove tyre marks across the track near the finish line. At the second attempt to start the race YOO TRISH galloped out as the start was effected, causing interference to UNREAL FEELING and OURNORTHENMETEOR, as a result, Driver A Hurst (UNREAL FEELING) was dislodged from her sulky and the fall siren was sounded to stop the race. YOO TRISH, UNREAL FEELING and OURNORTHENMETEOR were examined by the Veterinarian and cleared to start in the re-running of the race. A Hedges was examined by the on-course paramedics and cleared to continue with her driving commitments. YOO TRISH was declared a late scratching at 7.46pm by Order of Stewards after they acceded to a request from Trainer S Richards to withdraw the mare on safety grounds as he was of the view the mare would be uncontrollable following these incidents. At the next two attempts to start the race CHARGING BULL broke gait during the score-ups and caused false starts, as a result it was declared a late scratching under Rule 141(4) at 7.53pm.
YOO TRISH – Galloped out at the start, given the mare’s record connections were advised that she would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races, as a result of interference caused to other runners, the fall siren was sounded and the race stopped. Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the re-start, and was cleared to take its place in the re-run race. Declared a late scratching at 7.46pm by Order of Stewards after they acceded to a request from Trainer S Richards to withdraw the mare on safety grounds as he was of the view the mare would be uncontrollable following these incidents. Given the circumstances connections were advised that it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

Declared a late scratching under Rule 141(4) at 7.535pm after breaking in the score-up at the third and fourth attempt to start the race, causing two false starts. Connections were advised that the gelding would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races, and it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
GABBYS SPORTSTAR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Post-race swab sampled.
PREACHERS DAUGHTER – Pre-race swab sampled.
FULL OF WISDOM – Hung-in under pressure over the concluding stages of the event.
UNREAL FEELING – Made contact with the sulky of the galloping YOO TRISH shortly after the start and was checked and broke and Driver A Hurst was dislodged from her sulky, and the fall siren was sounded to stop the race. Examined by the Veterinarian and cleared to start in the re-running of the race. A Hurst was examined by the on-course paramedics and cleared to continue with her driving commitments.
OURNORTHERNMETEOR – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start. Checked and broke gait shortly after the start when YOO TRISH galloped out at the start, and the fall siren was sounded to stop the race. Examined by the Veterinarian and cleared to start in the re-running of the race.
RACE 5 – YOUNG WORKWEAR PACE – 1720 metres
General – The start of this race was re-scheduled to 8.20pm as a result of the delay to the final running of the previous race. The following race times were also re-scheduled to: Race 6 – 8.45pm, Race 7 – 9.10pm, Race 8 – 9.35pm.
HURRIKANE DUDE – Tightened for room when racing to the inside of JIMMYJOE entering the first turn, which had been taken in by TEDDY FEELS GOOD, which had been tightened for room by RUSTY MCCOOL, contacted marker pegs and broke gait as a result. Broke its near side hopple connecting strap in this incident.
JIMMYJOE – Tightened for room when racing to the inside of TEDDY FEELS GOOD entering the first turn, which had been tightened for room by RUSTY MCCOOL, checked and broke gait a short distance later due to HURRIKANE DUDE galloping.
TEDDY FEELS GOOD – Tightened for room entering the first turn, when RUSTY MCCOOL, shifted-in and was checked. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Post-race swab sampled.
ULAANBAATAR – Inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres by the galloping HURRIKANE DUDE.
WALLY BLASTER – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued.
RUSTY MCCOOL – Shifted in entering the first turn when not clear of TEDDY FEELS GOOD which was tightened for room, checked and taken in on to JIMMYJOE, which was taken in on to HURRIKANE DUDE. At a subsequent inquiry Driver J Chapple was found guilty of a charge under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference, in that entering the first turn he shifted his runner in when not clear of TEDDY FEELS GOOD which was tightened for room, checked and taken in on to JIMMYJOE, which was tightened and taken in on to HURRIKANE DUDE which was tightened contacted marker pegs and broke gait. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account J Chapple’s relative good driving record with regards to this rule and the particular circumstances of the incident. Driver J Chapple had his license to drive in races suspended for a period of 21 days, to commence at midnight the 8th of December.
BLUE SUEDE ROCKA – Checked approaching the 1400 metres by the galloping HURRIKANE DUDE.
MIGHTY ATOM – Pre-race swab sampled. Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader near the 800 metres.
RACE 6 – ARMA INSURANCE BROKERS PACE – 1720 metres
ROSE OF JULIANA – Worked forward to take over the lead from KEMPLEY PRINCESS leaving the 1400 metres. Post-race swab sampled.
KEMPLEY PRINCESS – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
HIPSTER DUFUSS – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres. Broke gait free of interference near the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued.
MISSDEHEIR – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 1400 metres, for which a warning was issued. Broke its near side hopple connecting strap in this incident.
DIXIEDOLITTLE – Pre-race swab sampled.
RACE 7 – CORDINA RACING PACE – 1720 metres
POM PAY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
TUBBEE TEE – Raced three wide from the start before working forward to take up the position outside the leader approaching the 1200 metres.
BETTORBEWRIGHT – Pre-race swab sampled. Trainer J Gaffney was questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the mare, he stated that he felt that if the mare could lead in this field it would be hard to beat, but was not overly confident of being able to do that from its draw. He added that he had instructed Driver J Locke to go forward at the start but expected them to probably end up outside the leader. He further added that since he had been training it, the mare hadn’t been able to lead from the draws it had in those fields. Post-race swab sampled.
MACH CHARM – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
CRUZ WITH ROME – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader approaching the 800 metres.
BURRABADINE DANCER – Broke gait after the start for which a warning was issued. Trainer/Driver N Hoy reported that the gelding lost its off fore shoe in this incident. Raced roughly near the 1400 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed that when it dislodged its shoe it stood on the toe clip which penetrated the sole of its hoof which required treatment.
RACE 8 – HRNSW GUARANTEED 2YO PACE – 1720 metres
GINGANING – Pre-race swab sampled. Inconvenienced behind the tiring MY LATIN LADY leaving the 400 metres.
ESPERANZA – Inconvenienced approaching the 1400 metres when ARTFUL PRINCE hung-out.
MISS ARDLETHAN – Post-race swab sampled.
FUNDA – Caught racing three wide from the start before being restrained to take up a position in the running line at the rear of the field near the 1400 metres.
ARTFUL PRINCE – Hung-out rounding the first turn.
IDEAL TIMING – Made a three wide mid race move to take over the position outside the leader leaving the 1200 metres. Raced roughly near the 200 metres, connections were advised the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race truly.
RAINBOW GAMBLER – Hung-in during the score-up and was out of position at the start, as it was the gelding’s first race start, connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the draw.
RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2100 metres
MAX ANGUS – Broke gait during the score-up and a false start was declared, given it was just the gelding’s first race start connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races. Had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event.
JUNIOR RYAN – Had a tendency to over-race during the middle stages of the event. Raced roughly near the 600 metres, connections were advised the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Driver E Turnbull advised that the gelding’s sulky strap came undone at this point in the race.
NIXSUN – Post-race swab sampled.
KYMMY SAID SO – Driver S Hewitt was fined $50 under Rule 158(1) for failing to fulfil his engagement on the mare. Inconvenienced approaching the 400 metres when LADY VEE broke gait.
SKIP ON OVER – Pre-race swab sampled.
LADY VEE – Broke gait free of interference approaching the 400 metres, connections were advised the filly would be placed on its last chance to race truly.
