RACE 1 – WELCOME TO THE WORLD GABRIELLE O'KANE PACE – 1740 metres
TIGER CHEDDAR – Trainer I Edyvean was queried regarding the seemingly improved performance of the gelding, he stated that it suffered a bout of colic approximately six weeks ago and he felt it had been steadily improving since then in its work and races. He added that he was reasonably confident of a forward showing in tonight’s race as he felt it would have finished closer last start at Coolamon if it hadn’t been held up in the straight. Post-race swab sampled.
BIDGEE BABE – Trainer/Driver S Hallcroft was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare, he stated that she doesn’t have early speed and was caught racing three wide in the early stages of the event and had to go back a fair way to obtain cover in the running line. He added that she doesn’t seem to race as genuinely from back in the field and the race was not run to suit those back in the field which put paid to their chances.
THATS THE ATTITUDE – Pre-race swab sampled.
THE BANKER NZ – Held up for clear running until near the 100 metres.
RACE 2 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres
CENTREFIRE – Over-raced while leading during the middle stages of the event. Trainer N Maxwell was queried regarding the seemingly improved performance of the gelding, he stated that drawing a favourable barrier which allowed the gelding to attempt to lead, which it was able to do tonight assisted its chances. He added that he also feels that it races better on the bigger track of tonight’s event than where it had been racing recently. Post-race swab sampled.
BEAU BROWN – Pre-race swab sampled.
RACE 3 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - RIVERINA HEAT 1 – 2270 metres
BE GOOD MIKI – Raced roughly after the start, connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the draw. Over-raced in the early stages of the event.
MISSAUDACIOUS – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
TICK A LOCH – Pre-race swab sampled. Held up for clear running until leaving the 100 metres.
CORTEZ – Over-raced while leading during the middle stages of the event.
RACE 4 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - RIVERINA HEAT 2 – 2270 metres
ALTA WILLIAM – Post-race swab sampled.
IM DUSTEE – Pre-race swab sampled.
RACE 5 – TAB REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS - RIVERINA HEAT 3 – 2270 metres
MAGINOT LINE – Checked from behind the tiring AROMET GIRL near the 400 metres.
AROMET GIRL – Pre-race swab sampled. Over-raced while leading during the middle stages of the event. Commenced to tire from near the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, Driver H Ross stated that he was disappointed with its run but added that it raced very keenly, particularly after VICTORTHEINFLICTOR improved to his outside near the 1600 metres. He added that with the way it was racing it may have cut off its wind which would have adversely effected its performance. A warning was placed on the mare for its performance tonight. A post-race Veterinary examination, revealed the mare to be mildly lame in the off hind leg. Stewards acting on Veterinary advice, advised connections that the mare would be stood down from racing for seven days.
UNCHAINMYART – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.
THE CLOCK WINDER – Inconvenienced behind the tiring AROMET GIRL approaching the 400 metres.
MASTER GOUDA – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.
THALASSOPHOBIA – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 6 – PREMIUM PUNTER PACE – 1740 metres
GLAMORS SYMBOL – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.
ROLL PLAY – Raced three wide from the start, worked forward to the position outside AMBER ALERT which was racing outside the leader near the 1000 metres, before being restrained to a position in the running line at the rear of the field near the 800 metres. Driver B Jones was questioned regarding the tactics adopted, he stated that from the start he was looking to obtain a position with cover in the running line, however he was not able to get in and felt approaching the 1200 metres the pace of the race eased so elected to proceed forward in an endeavour to obtain the position outside the leader as his runner is a bit one-paced and races best if able to obtain a forward position. He added that AMBER ALERT which was racing outside the leader was back from the leader which he felt was an indication that it would be happy to get cover. He further added that when he improved to the outside of that runner near the 1000 metres it was apparent that he was not going to be able to cross it without placing too much pressure on his runner so elected to restrain to obtain cover.
AMBER ALERT – Trainer/Driver J Newberry was questioned regarding the tactics adopted and performance of the mare, in particular whether there was an opportunity to obtain cover on the back of ROLL PLAY when it improved to his outside near the 1000 metres after he had done work in the early stages of the event to get to the position outside the leader. He stated that he would have been happy to obtain cover at that point, but the mare commenced to over-race approaching the 1000 metres and contacted its own sulky wheel rounding the turn leaving the 1000 metres and he was unable to get her to come back to him. He added that she contacted her own sulky wheel again in the back straight and continued to pull as a result until near the 500 metres. He further added that she does tend to race keenly in her races but tonight she pulled a lot harder than normal, and he was not too disappointed with her run given those circumstances. J Newberry added that it was his intention to add extenders to her sulky to prevent her from contacting her wheel in future.
ALTA BAYAMO – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 7 – RANVET PACE – 1740 metres
ULTIMATE ME NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.

BLAZING – Post-race swab sampled.

CORAL CAYS – Post-race swab sampled.
MISTER RAUDONIKIS – Pre-race swab sampled.
AWAY GAME – Over-raced during the early stages of the event after initially being restrained from the start and then worked forward three wide as a result to the position outside the leader. Continued to over-race during the middle stages when racing outside the leader.
ROCKNROLL GRACE – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Inclined to hang-in rounding the home turn.
RACE 9 – RIVERINA SIGNMAKERS PACE – 1740 metres
MORTLOCK – Pre-race swab sampled.
PERFECTLY SAID – Hung-in during the score-up and was out of position at the start, as it was just the mare’s second race start, connections were advised it would be placed on its last chance in the draw.
BONDI BEACH NZ – Raced greenly during the score-up. Hung-out after the start.
MAJOR TRANSPARENCY – Fractious during the score-up and was out of position at the start, given it was the mare’s first race start connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.
PLAY IT COOL NZ – Post-race swab sampled.
