RACE 1 – MATES4HARNESS PACE – 1609 METRES

COLLATERAL BEAUTY NZ - Pre-race sample was taken.

SKY CITY NZ - Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and was not fully tested. Stewards query driver K Hepworth in relation to the tactics adopted over the final 400 metres. K Hepworth explained to Stewards that when racing down the home straight with a lap remaining was unable to maintain the lead position when presented with a challenge from STEALTH BOMBA NZ and was left racing in a position behind the leader. She further added that when rounding the final turn was somewhat held up on the back of STEALTH BOMBA NZ and shortly after straightening had a tendency to hang out slightly and followed the leader up the track. Shortly thereafter COLLATERAL BEAUTY NZ was able to commence to a run to her inside and as a result was left held up. Stewards noted her comments.

STEALTH BOMBA NZ - Broke stride in the early stages of the score up was out of position as the start was affected. Connections were advised to be placed on its last chance of the mobile barrier draw. Had a tendency to shift up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stage.

RACE 2 – JOHN HUNTER CHILDRENS HOSPITAL PACE – 1609 METRES

HEZATREACHEROUS - Post-race sample was taken.

HALSEY NICOLE – Was hampered leaving the back straight on the final occasion when in restricted room to the inside of TERROR EYES NZ and contacted marker pegs.

MAJOR MICKEY - Was hampered leaving the back straight on final occasion and contacted marker pegs when racing to the inside of TERROR EYES NZ.

SPIRIT KING – Pre-race sample was taken.

TERROR EYES NZ - Had a tendency to hang in at various stages of the event and most severe when leaving the back straight and negotiating the final turn. A warning was issued. re-included in the mobile barrier draw

 

 

RACE 3 – COCA COLA PACE – 1609 METRES

CUT GLASS NZ – Pre-race sample was taken. Broke stride and was fractious in the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected. Shortly thereafter driver G Panella moved her runner to the outside of the track to which it stood flat footed and refused to move away for some time and ultimately was retired from the event. Stewards ordered that CUT GLASS NZ be excluded from the mobile barrier draw in addition to one re-qualifying trial.

ONEHANDONEBOUNCE - Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

GIVE ME A MINUTE NZ - Post-race sample was taken.

 

 

RACE 4 – GLOBAL BRANDS LIQUOR PACE – 1609 METRES

SEVE NZ - Pre-race sample was taken. Post-race sample was taken.

PITCH PERFECT NZ - Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.

 

 

RACE 5 – TOOHEYS PACE – 2030 METRES

BUNDLE OF NOTES - Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten in considerable distance. A warning was issued.

SHE MAYBE BETTOR - Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten considerable distance. Driver Z Fitzpatrick explained that it was not suited to being caught racing in a position outside of the leader especially over the longer journey. Connections were advised to be stood down until and re-qualify on one occasion.

ULTIMATE EMPIRE - Pre-race sample was taken.

FREEDOM ART - Post-race sample was taken.

 

 

RACE 6 – JOHN TAYLOR MEMORIAL – 2030 METRES

SEE THE DREAM Pre-race sample was taken.

JACQUELINE ROSE NZ - Had a tendency to over race in the early and middle stages of the event.

NEON TIGER - Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 7 – AVE TECHNOLOGIES HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 METRES

MY LADY SARAH – pre-race sample was taken. Had a tendency to shift ground up the track whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.

BOUGANVILLEA - Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 8 – WRS SUPPORTING HARNESS RACING MAIDEN PACE – 1609 METRES

OUR ULTIMATE MAY NZ - Pre-race sample was taken.

MIGHT AND VICTORY - Post-race sample was taken.

ROCK AM ALYESKA - Hung prior to the field entering the home straight for the run to the finish and locked wheels with RECKLESS CONVICT who also had a tendency to hang out shortly thereafter.

TOKOLOSHE - Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. Post-race veterinary examination cannot reveal any abnormality. Connections advised Stewards that would be the intention for it now to be spelled. It was also advised that it would be stood down until the completion of one re-qualifying trial.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP PACE – 2030 METRES

FRANCO STORM - Was tightened for racing room entering the first turn. Shortly thereafter broke stride. No action was taken. Had a tendency to over race in the early middle stages of the event.

WALLAROY BOY -  Driver D Murphy pleaded guilty to a charge under Rule 168(1)(a) in that when entering the first turn attempted to position along the mark pegs however did not have the required clearance over a FRANCO STORM which was placed in restricted room shortly thereafter when attempting to redress and shift back up the track contacted the near side wheel of GROSESTAR which resulted in a puncture. Driver D Murphy was fined the sum was $200 when considering penalty Stewards took into account  his record and plea of guilt.

GROSESTAR - Sustained a flat near side tyre entering the first turn.

SHADOW ECLIPSE - Was examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.

KISSMELVIS - Post-race sample was taken.

A PARADIGM SHIFT - Was examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities recorded. Upon request from connections was re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

DOUBLE LINES - Had attempted over race in the early middle stages of the event.

TOUGH TALKS - Pre-race sample was taken.
