RACE 1 – HOLLINGWORTH CRANE HIRE SERVICE TROTTERS MOBILE – 1710 metres
HE IS HEARTTHROB – Approaching the 800 metres hung in and broke gait and again broke gait approaching the 400 metres. In view of the gelding’s manners, HE IS HEARTTHROB will be stood down until it can complete one requalifying trial.
GLADIATOR STRIDE – Inconvenienced passing the 800 metres as a result of HE IS HEARTTHROB breaking gait. Approaching the 300 metres broke gait for which a warning was issued.
KENNYS SON – Approaching the 1400 metres broke gait. Approaching the 100 metres veered in and broke gait. Considering the colt’s manners KENNYS SON will be required to perform one requalifying trial.
VULCAN STRIDE – Fractious in the score up and hung in after the start.
RACING EYES – Inconvenienced at the 800 metres as a result of HE IS HEARTTHROB breaking gait. Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres as result of GLADIATOR STRIDE breaking gait. Post-race swab sample.
MILITARY MERIT – Pre-race blood sample. Approaching the 1200 metres became unbalanced and broke gait for which a warning was issued.
MAJORETTE NZ – Out of position at the start and will be continued out of the draw in mobile starts.
RACE 2 – SUN SOLUTIONS HOME IMPROVEMENT GOULBURN TWO YEAR OLD MAIDEN PACE – 1710 metres
WICKED WHISKEY – Pre-race blood sample. Had a tendency to hang in under pressure.
MERRYWOOD LOU – Approaching the 250 metres hung out when under pressure affording a run to the inside for STINSON. A warning was issued.
STINSON – Gained clear running approaching the 250 metres as a result of MERRYWOOD LOU hanging out under pressure.
BELLAMYS BLAST – Trainer Paul Fitzpatrick was issued a fine of $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to notify any gear for the colt. Inconvenienced passing the 250 metres when MERRYWOOD LOU was hanging out under pressure. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 3 – BENSTUD STANDARDBREDS NSW PACE – 1710 metres
CLEMENTSORRELL – A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations revealed no obvious abnormalities. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.
RUM DELIGHT NZ - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations revealed no obvious abnormalities.
AERODYNE GUY – Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1200 metres. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 110 metres. In view of the overall performance of the gelding AERODYNE GUY will be required to perform one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
PADDY MACH - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding having in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations revealed no obvious abnormalities.
FINANCIALLY STABLE – Pre-race blood sample. Driver George Lee was cautioned for the manner in which he used his whip in the early stages of the home straight. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 4 – GOULBURN HAY SUPPLIES PACE – 1710 metres
HIGHLANDS WARRIOR – Had a tendency to hang in on the final turn.
BUBBA NAY – Commenced to race roughly passing the 300 metres before breaking gait passing the 200 meters for which a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
VESPA STRIDE – Caught wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field passing the 1300 metres.
FASTING – Pre-race blood sample.
CYCLONE BELLA NZ – Post-race swab sample.
RACE 5 – ASPIRE TRAFFIC OFFENDER COURSE PACE – 1710 metres
RAINBOW MOUNTAIN – Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres as a result of MIGHT AND VICTORY being checked and breaking.
MIGHT AND VICTORY – Pre-race blood sample. Caught wide early before working forward to the lead passing the 1150 metres. Approaching the 300 metres was tightened, checked and broke as a result of STAGECOACH hanging in and placing CAPTAIN BART in restricted room.
MICKEY BE NIMBLE – Three wide early before working to the position outside the leader at the 1200 metres. Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres as a result of MIGHT AND VICTORY breaking gait.
ARTS FELLA – Inconvenienced passing the 300 metres as a result of MIGHT AND VICTORY breaking gait.
HEAVENS GOTTA WAIT – At the request of connections was reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.
STAGECOACH – Commenced to improve three wide with a trail passing the 1100 metres. When racing in a three wide position passing the 300 metres hung in and placed CAPTAIN BART into restricted room which in turn checked MIGHT AND VICTORY causing that runner to be checked and broke. A warning was issued against STAGECOACH for hanging in. Post-race swab sample.
CAPTAIN BART – Commenced to improve three wide passing the 1100 metres before finding the position outside the leader at the 700 metres. Approaching the 300 metres was tightened as a result of STAGECOACH hanging in.
RACE 6 – RSM ACCOUNTANTS GOULBURN PACE – 1710 metres
DANCING WITH MY EX – Driver Peter Green Jnr was fined $400 under Rule 156(2)(a) for the manner in which he used his whip over the concluding stages of the event.
BROOKESSMARTDANCER – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
LETSTACOBOUTIT – Driver Dean Cernovskis was found guilty under Rule 165(1)(a) in that, when shifting down the track he has failed to keep his inside wheel wider than 30cm to the outside wheel of PENCIL ME IN which was racing to the inside of LETSTACOBOUTIT and as a result PENCIL ME IN lost its rightful running. Driver Dean Cernovskis had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 29 May 2025 the date of which his current suspension expires. When assessing penalty Stewards considered his record in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident. From the 1450 metres to approximately the 1100 metres, LETSTACOBOUTIT was engaged in a jostle with PENCIL ME IN.
PENCIL ME IN – Checked and lost its rightful running when LETSTACOBOUTIT shifted down the track and jostled with PENCIL ME IN from the 1450 metres to a point approaching the 1100 metres. Driver Will Rixon was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(ii) for jostling, in that he continuned to jostle after Mr Rixon had lost his spot to LETSTACOBOUTIT. In taking no further action, Stewards were mindful that Mr Rixon was jostling in an attempt to hold his rightful position when LETSTACOBOUTIT shifted down the track. Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 135.8 metres. In view of the prolonged jostle PENCIL ME IN sustained with LETSTACOBOUTIT no action was taken against the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
GIMMEFIVEMINUTESMORE NZ – Trainer Jacqueline Graham was fined $100 under Rule 273(5)(a) for presenting the gelding to race in the incorrect number. Held up early in the early stages of the home straight.
RACE 7 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1710 metres
JAMBEROO ARK – Pre-race blood sample. Upon entry to the home straight shifted out under pressure for which a warning was issued.
MAJOR HUSS – Shortly after entering the home straight was tightened and raced roughly when attempting to improve between ADDOCAR and ELEAZAR when that gap closed as a result of JAMBEROO ARK shifting up the track. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight. Driver James Locke plead guilty to a charge under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that, at a point approaching the 100 metres he shifted the gelding wider on the track causing BONJORGE to be checked and raced roughly. Driver James Locke had his licence to drive in races suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 27 May 2025. In assessing penalty, Stewards considered Mr Locke’s plea in relation to the rule and the circumstances of this incident.
ELEAZAR – Post-race swab sample.
ADDOCAR – Shortly after entering the home straight was inconvenienced as a result of JAMBEROO ARK shifting up the track.
BONJORGE – Approaching the 100 metres was checked and raced roughly as a result of MAJOR HUSS shifting wider on the track.
MILLWOOD GRACE – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
OUR ULTIMATE LAYLA – Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Was checked and raced roughly when attempting to improve its position between JAMBEROO ARK and ADDOCAR as a result of JAMBEROO ARK shifting up the track and restricting the room of OUR ULTIMATE LAYLA.
RACE 8 – GOULBURN SOLDIERS CLUB PACE – 1710 metres
GALAXY DANCER – Approaching the 300 metres became unbalanced and broke gait for which a warning was issued. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any post-race abnormalities.
TERROR EYES NZ – Worked forward to the lead passing the 1250 metres.
PEACE OF HEAVEN NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested. Approaching the 70 metres a run had developed to the inside of TERROR EYES NZ however PEACE OF HEAVEN NZ was hanging out and reluctant to take the run to the inside of TERROR EYES NZ.
SMOKESHOW – Post-race swab sample.
MIRADOR LASS – Approaching the 250 metres was severely checked and locked wheels with BEER MONEY as a result of GALAXY DANCER breaking gait.
THE TALK – Three wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field approaching the 1200 metres.
BEER MONEY – Broke stride shortly after the start for which a warning was issued. Approaching the 250 metres was severely checked and locked wheels with MIRADOR LASS as a result of GALAXY DANCER breaking gait.
ROCKNROLL GIG – held up in the home straight for clear running and not fully tested.
