DANCIN WITH LUSH - Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.
GOODTIME HALO - Broke stride free of any external factors shortly after start and galloped. Trainer/driver Mr S Ison was advised that a warning would be placed on the mares racing record.
SWEET ROCKY - When questioned in relation to the performance driver, B elder explained that after beginning well he allowed the gelding to stride forward in the early stages, however this resulted in him racing outside the lead without cover and SWEET ROCKY was inclined to over race he said that passing the 600 meters he was obliged to place the gelding under pressure to maintain its position and from that point it was unresponsive, then ran to the finish in a disappointing manner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was one of five lame in the near foreleg. Connections were advised that a stand down period of seven days would be applied. Trainer Mr D Elder subsequently advised that SWEET ROCKY was displaying signs of viral infection on the morning of 23/5/25.
RACE 2 – TAMBURLAINE ORGANIC WINES - K LANGELAAR PACING FOR PINK MAIDEN PACE – 1980 METRES

RACE 4 – COAST CARE SUPPORT - JEMMA CONEY PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1980 METRES
BRING YOUR BEST - Pre-race blood sample. When questioned in relation to the performance driver B Elder explained, that after beginning well the gelding travelled comfortably in the lead in the early stages, however when challenged approaching the winning post on the first occasion he was obliged to drive with vigour to maintain his leading position. He said that after this BRING YOUR BEST again travelled relatively well however when placed under pressure approaching the 400 meters, it was unresponsive and weakened despite his constant efforts. He said that the stable had been impacted by recent localised flooding and whilst all horses had maintained levels of exercise, he felt that the preparation had been hampered in the days leading into this race and he attributed that to the reason for the gelding’s poor performance. Post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
ROCKNROLL RAMBO – K Langelaar’s left foot dropped below the sulky rest on two occasions inside the 400 meters. Considering Miss Langelaar’s relative inexperience (five race drives) no action was taken.

STICK MAN NZ - When questioned in relation to her driving, particularly inside the 400 meters, Ms M Ison explained that after racing comfortably in the running line during the middle stages she placed her drive under pressure passing the 400m. She said that at this time she had established a tight 3 wide line outside CLASSIC ARC, however during her efforts to progress the gelding tended to shift out under pressure. when questioned further in relation to allowing the stablemate BE GOOD BENNY to improve between her drive and CLASSIC ARC approaching the home turn she conceded that, that had occurred but she was powerless to prevent it happening due to STICK MAN’s continued tendency to shift under pressure and stated that during this time she was not aware that the runner that had improved from her inside and behind was BE GOOD BENNY. She added that from the 300m STICK MAN was fully extended and ran to the finish to the best of its ability. Ms Ison was advised that she must always endeavour to ensure her actions are conducive to providing her drives the most efficient run during races in a fashion that leaves no room for query.

BEE SEVENTEEN - Passed required pre-race veterinary examination. Driver C McElhinney pleaded guilty to a charge under rule 156(2), stating that when applying the whip in the home straight, she did so in a manner that exceeded a wrist only flicking motion. Ms McElhinney was fined $200. Post-race swab sample.
