GENERAL:

Due to continued rainfall prior to Race 1 the track was inspected and the mobile barrier was tested. The track was subsequently passed suitable for racing.

Drivers were advised that mudguards were to be fitted to all sulkies.

 

RACE 1 – T WILSON RACING PACE – 2170 METRES

The start of this event was delayed due to a gear adjustment required on WARRAWEE CRUZIN.

TORUBLE IN HEAVEN – Over raced during the middle stages before tiring from the 600 metres onwards to finish in last placing. Post-race veterinary examination of TROUBLE IN HEAVEN failed to reveal any significant findings. Given the beaten margin (54 metres) and the racing manners of TROUBLE IN HEAVEN, a warning was issued.

MAYWYNS LA NINA – Inconvenienced passing the 500 metres when TROUBLE IN HEAVEN commenced to tire.

WARRAWEE CRUZIN – Pre-race blood sample. Post-race swab sample.

 

 

RACE 2 – OSKAR MEMORIALS PACE – 1770 METRES

MARVELLA – Over raced during the middle stages when leading. Post-race swab sample.

MAJOR HUSS – Pre-race blood sample.

 

Due to the mobile barrier failing to gain full traction after the commencement of this race, the mobile barrier was tested on multiple occasions from the 1770 metre start. The track was ultimately deemed unsafe for racing when the mobile barrier was unable to gain sufficient traction to release the field safely and the remainder of the meeting was abandoned.
