DANCE AND DELIVER – Stewards questioned Driver Will Rixon with regards to the manner in which he drove the gelding over the final 300 metres of the event. Mr Rixon advised stewards that he felt when racing on the back of Joshua Gallagher in the home straight there was insufficient room for him to come down the track and improve to the outside of SPRINGFIELD AFFAIR, particularly when DANCE AND DELIVER is quite a big striding gelding. Mr Rixon, after having watched the films conceded to Stewards there was potentially a run developing to the outside of SPRINGFIELD AFFAIR over the final 100 metres, albeit he wasn’t aware during the event and further expressed that he felt DANCE AND DELIVER was going as well as it could at that stage of the event and wouldn’t have been able to improve any further.
