RACE 1 – THE TAB APP PACE – 1609 METRES

TAFL MOVE - Post-race swab sample.

BENJIMAGEE - Pre-race blood sample.

TERROR FLYING - Was held up for some distance approaching the home turn then in the early part of the home straight and was unable to secure clear running until inside the 100 metres.

HEY DUDE - When examined by the club's Veterinary Officer prior to the start the gelding was found to be 3/5 lame in the off foreleg. HEY DUDE was withdrawn at 1:52pm. Connections were subsequently advised that a stand down period of 10 days would be applied and prior to racing again HEY DUDE must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its fitness.

 

RACE 2 – SKY RACING ACTIVE PACE – 1609 METRES

MIDAS SHANNON - Pre-race blood sample.

MARKSMAN - Hung in for some distance rounding the turn after the start.

JUST TOMMY - Hung in for a short distance after the start.

EIFFEL FROM HEAVEN - Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND PACE – 1609 METRES

IAMNOPET - Pre-race blood sample.

LOOKAT ME – Raced in restricted room approaching the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.

JACKS UP - Post-race swab sample.

FLEUR BELLA - Was unable to obtain clear running at any stage inside the 200 metres and went to the finish without being tested.

 

RACE 4 – STOCKMANS SUPPLIES – FARRIER GEAR PACE – 1980 METRES

MOONLIGHT RIVER - Broke stride free of any external factors approaching 900 metres, blundered badly and was then restrained and took no competitive part. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer/driver Mr S Ison was advised that prior to racing again MOONLIGHT RIVER must perform satisfactorily in an official qualifying trial.

HEAVENLY TURBO - Pre-race blood sample. Sustained a flat tyre passing the 500 metres when it commenced to weaken in front of SAYCHELLES, which when being shifted wider to go forward contacted the sulky. Subsequently B Elder the driver of SAYCHELLES was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) for failing to allow sufficient clearance to avoid contact when shifting ground.

KINTIRE RUSH - Post-race swab sample.

 

 

RACE 5 – DAISYS WATER CARRIERS – PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1609 METRES

KATASTROPHEE - Post-race swab sample.

ROCKNROLL RAMBO - Pre-race blood sample. Was bumped and unbalanced passing 200 metres when racing outside HEAVENLY SONG.

JUSTAWARRIOR - Pulled hard during the middle stages.

ROLAMAX - Passed required pre-race veterinary examination.

HEAVENLY SONG - Was carried marginally wider inside the 200 metres and bumped with ROCKNROLL RAMBO and was unbalanced for a short distance.

 

RACE 6 – KOOTINGAL HOTEL – PACING FOR PINK PACE – 1980 METRES

ANTETOKOUNMPO - Pre-race blood sample. Pulled hard during the middle stages. Post-race swab sample.

ANNIE CROCKER - Was hampered momentarily near the 100 metres when carried out slightly by GOTONEBETTOR which shifted out in search of clear running when not quite clear. Subsequently B Hughes the driver of GOTONEBETTOR was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(ii).

ULTIMATE CRUZA - Locked wheels momentarily near the 100 metres with ANNIE CROCKER when that runner was forced wider. When questioned in relation to the performance trainer/driver Mr M Formosa explained, that his drive travelled well with cover in the running line and passing the 500m he was confident that it would be prominent in the finish. He said that when he shifted wider inside the 400m the gelding hung in, raced ungenerously and failed to respond to his urgings. He added that although he was hampered near the 100m this did not impact the performance. He said that if the gelding drew favourably at the barrier in its subsequent racing in similar grade, he would attempt to lead to stimulate a stronger performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

BEE SEVENTEEN - Passed required pre-race veterinary examination.

 

RACE 7 – RADIO 2TM SPORTS SHOW WITH DAN SAUNDERS PACE – 1980 METRES

ROCKET BOY - Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

VINCENTIUS MAXIMUS - Post-race swab sample.

THE CID – Passed required pre-race veterinary examination. Pre-race blood sample.

RACING PAULA - Was unable to obtain clear running at any stage inside the 400 metres and went to the finish without being tested.

FAST TRACKER - Hung out when placed under pressure inside the 150 metres and was difficult to drive.
