RACE 1 – MEODWIE LODGE/SKYFALL ESTATE PACE  – 1609 METRES

CAROLSDIAMOND –  Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

IRE OF THE DRAGON –  Pre-race sample was taken. Post race sample was taken.

BUNDLE OF NOTES – A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second recorded attack connections were advised that the gelding would now be stood down indefinitely under the provisions of Rule 101(3)(b).

BREXITT – was fractious in the early stages of the score up and was slow to come up. A  Warning was issued.

 

RACE 2 – NUTRIEN EQUINE STANDARDBRED SALES PACE  – 1609 METRES

HALLOWEEN – Pre-race sample was taken. Post race sample was taken.

PEPPERCORN BARRY – Upon request from connections approval was given for the gelding to be re-included in the mobile barrier draw.

WAR WESTERN – weakened over the concluding stages of the event to be beaten some distance. Post race veterinary examination revealed a superficial laceration the offside hind leg. Connections were advised that the gelding would be stood down to one re-qualifying trial.

MAGIC SHOOS – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

 

RACE 3 – HARNESS BREEDERS NSW/REPRESENTING THE INDUSTRY PACE – 1609  METRES

 

General –

Prior to the declaration of all clear stewards reviewed the patrol footage in relation to FLUER BELLA (J Hughes) obtaining inside running down the home straight on the final occasion. Upon review stewards noted that ROGERVALERIO LOMBO had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure which presented a clear run for FLUER BELLA along the marker pegs. FLUER BELLA then shifted in slightly and brushed a marker peg remaining on the course proper. As such stewards declared all clear on judge’s numbers.

 

SIR CANDY CLOUD – Pre-race sample was taken. Broke stride shortly after the start was effected. a warning was issued. it continued to gallop for a considerable distance connections were advised that the gelding would be placed on its last chance to race truly. Prior to entering the home straight on the final occasion jumped a marker peg which had been dislodged. No action was taken.

DOUBLE LINES  -  held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

FLEUR BELLA –  Was tightened for racing room entering the first turn and raced roughly for a short distance. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish before obtaining an inside run. At that point brushed a marker peg when clear running was available. Post race sample was taken.

ROGERVALERIO LOMBO – had a tendency to hang out whilst under pressure over the concluding stages of the event. Driver P Green Jnr reported post raced that the ear plugs failed to release during the event.

 

 

RACE 4 – WOODLANDS STUD SHUTTLING THE WORLDS BEST SIRES PACE  – 1609 METRES

 

GUNFIGHTERSGHOST – Pre-race sample was taken.

MYSTICAL SUNSHINE  - Post race sample was taken.

EYES BEEN PATIENT – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted driver B Pringle explained that it was the intension pre-race to be in a position outside of the leader. he further added that when entering the first turn the stablemate which had been unsuccessful in its attempt at the lead was being restrained and as a result elected to move three wide to the position outside of the leader. he was of the opinion that his runner can have a tendency to over-race and felt that the move forward in the event best suited his runner. Stewards noted his comments and advised that when driving in races with multiple runner’s shall drive in a manner which is not left open to question.

BOOKER BAY – Driver B Elder was fined the sum of $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position as the start was effected.

 

RACE 5 – MITAVITE PACE  – 1609 METRES

 

BODYLINE – Pre-race sample was taken. Post race sample was taken.

RILEY ROCKET – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion.

ROCKNROLL RAMBO – held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight on the final occasion.

 

RACE 6 – ARTISTIC LODGE PACE   – 1609  METRES

 

ANTETOKOUNMPO – Pre-race sample was taken. Was hampered momentarily when trailing the leader which has commenced to give ground rounding the final turn and was held up for clear running in the early stages of the run to the finish.

MAMMALS RIDDLE – Post Race sample was taken.

ELEAZAR – galloped away as the start was effected. A Warning was issued.

 

 

RACE 7 – ALABAR AUSTRALIA PACE – 1609 METRES

 

RAYS REDEMPTION – Pre-race sample was taken. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Douglas explained that his runner may not have been suited to being shifted wider in the early stages after being crossed. He further added that the tempo in the event was solid and was left wanting over the concluding stages. In addition, he believed it may may have not backed up from its previous run. Stewards noted his comments

SPUNKEYS GOTSECRETS – Hung in throughout various stages of the event. A warning was issued.

STEALTH BOMBA NZ – Post race sample was taken.

YESNOMAYBESO – Was examined pre- and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Driver A Garaty was cautioned in relation to the manner in which he applied the whip.
