RACE 1 – TRIMECH PACE – 1720 metres
TUKURUA – Pre-race swab sampled. Over-raced while leading during the middle stages of the event before losing ground over the concluding stages. Driver T Osmond was queried regarding the performance, she stated that the mare contacted its own sulky wheel rounding the first turn which fired her up and she was unable to get her to settle. She added that the mare continued to contact its wheel rounding the remaining turns which resulted in her continuing to over-race which put paid to her chances. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT – YOUNG 17 DECEMBER 2024 – Race 4
GENERAL – At Bathurst on the 4th of June, 2025 Stewards conducted an inquiry into the fall from the above race, evidence was taken from Driver’s M Turnbull (RUSTY DANCER), B Micallef (MUSCLE TOWN) and M Rue (CERISE RAINBOW). It was established that shortly after the start MUSCLE TOWN shifted-in slightly tightening RUSTY DANCER and as the field approached the first turn CERISE RAINBOW, which was inclined to hang-in away from AMERICAN BOULEVARD which was hanging-in, had come down the track resulting in MUSCLE TOWN shifting in further away from it and Driver B Micallef being unable to shift MUSCLE TOWN back out to relieve the tightening to RUSTY DANCER. As a result of the tightening, RUSTY DANCER was taken down over the marker pegs and attempted to jump that marker peg and broke gait, and while galloping shifted out and contacted the sulky of GLENBURNS WATERS, resulting in Driver J Field being dislodged from his sulky and GLENBURNS WATERS falling a short distance later, furthermore VIENNA OPERA was severely checked and broke gait. Given the circumstances Stewards felt the incident was a result of a number of contributing factors and did not feel any one Driver or horse was at fault, so would report it as a racing incident while advising B Micallef to exercise more care in future to prevent the initial tightening.
