RACE 1 – BEDWELLS FEEDBARN PACE – 1730 metres
OURSWEETPOG – Pre-race blood.
TINTINS TREASURE – Driver K Langelaar was advised to exercise care when shifting ground at the 450 metres resulting in THE DANCER being inconvenienced.
R K FINN NZ – Broke stride in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued.
TAKE OUT – It was reported that driver T Bullock dropped his whip at or around the 300 metre mark. Post-race sample.
MILLWOOD GRACE NZ – Inconvenienced prior to obtaining the sprint lane when it became available in the home straight on the final occasion.
THE DANCER – Inconvenienced at the 450 metres when TINTINS TREASURE shifted ground. Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.
RACE 2 – SUCCESS STUD LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres
SHES SOME LEXY – Stewards queried trainer/driver O Frisby on the mare’s overall performance who yielded ground over the final 400 metres to finish in eighth position beaten 43.2 metres. Miss Frisby stated she was disappointed in the overall performance as she was expecting a forward showing and will consider going back to an easier grade on the smaller half mile tracks in future starts where suitable. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a higher heart rate than normal and as a result a slow post race recovery.
KATLAS DREAM – Pre-race blood.
SHE THE DEVIL – Trainer/driver A Turnbull was queried on the perceived improved performance of the filly. Ms Turnbull stated she had been considering the filly’s racing future but was more than happy with its last run although finishing in last position with the filly failing to score up and her individual sectional times satisfactory. She further added the filly in starts prior may not have not handled the racing surface which appeared to be heavy when racing to the inside. Post-race sample.
WINDY HILL LUCY – Broke stride after the start was affected, a warning was issued. The filly took no competitive part in the race.
ELECTRA GIRL – Driver G Lee was cautioned on his whip use in the home straight on the final occasion.
RACE 3 – HYNASH GROUP PACE – 2260 metres
CHELSEAS GIRL – Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages of the event.
SEASIDER – Utilised the sprint lane when it became available in the home straight on the final occasion. Post-race sample.
SMOKESHOW – Pre-race blood.
UNCLE TONY – Trainer/driver A Frisby was questioned on the gelding’s overall performance where he commenced to yield ground at the 400 metres to finish in ninth and last position beaten 34.6 metres. He stated with minimal speed to his inside when the start was affected he elected to work forward with the anticipation that he would be able to obtain cover, when unable to do so racing outside the lead over the longer distance of the race contributed to the overall performance.
SHARPER MEMORY – Held up for clear racing room in the run to the finish and not fully tested.
EXCESS VITALITY – Pulled hard throughout the event. Inconvenienced between the 350 and 250 metres when trailing UNCLE TONY who was yielding ground.
RACE 4 – PANTHERS BATHURST PACE – 2260 metres
ERIC THE KICKER – Utilised the sprint lane when it became available in the home straight on the final occasion.
POPS LEGACY – Out of position when the start was affected. The gelding will be given its last chance in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
DUN SPRUIKIN – Driver J Coney was questioned on the gelding’s overall performance when he commenced to give ground over the final 300 metres to finish in ninth and last position beaten 28.1 metres. He stated he was disappointed in the overall performance but with a strong 56.5 middle half of the race when racing over the longer distance contributed to the overall performance.
BETTORS HOPE – Held up for clear racing room until the final 150 metres.
THREE RIVERS NZ – Pre-race blood. The gelding was claimed in the event and as a result a post-race sample was collected.
IM DESIRABLE – Inconvenienced in the score up as a result of POPS LEGACY being out of position. Post-race sample.
RACE 5 – BCIT SOLUTIONS PACE – 1730 metres
WINDY HILL TARA – Post-race sample.
GLITTER AINT GOLD – Driver J Turnbull was queried on the gelding’s overall performance. After racing outside the lead throughout the event tired over the concluding stages to finish in seventh position beaten 32.1 metres. He stated he was not overly disappointed in the gelding’s performance as he was considerably up in grade in today’s event and racing outside the leader in a very fast tempo race being the reason the gelding did not run on as expected over the concluding stages. Considering the gelding’s individual mile rate of 1:54.2 no further action was taken.
FAZE OF GLORY NZ – Held up for clear racing room until leaving the 100 metres.
HES CHIMING – Pre-race blood.
RACE 6 – BLUEPRINT SIGNS PACE – 1730 metres
A TRUE LOVE – Pre-race blood. Post-race sample.
RACE 7 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1730 metres
QUEENHIGH FLUSH NZ – Driver W Rixon was queried on the overall performance of the mare which gave ground over the final 400 meters to finish in tenth and last position beaten 60.3 metres. He stated when travelling at the rear of the field when leaving the 800 metres was inconvenienced when the pace in the running line eased and as a result shifted to a three wide position, when attempting to make ground racing wide the mare failed to respond. At the request of connections the mare will be placed back in the mobile barrier draw in future starts.
A LIL BIT OF LOVE – Hung out throughout the score up and as a result was out of position at the start. A warning was issued. Had a tendency to hang out and raced ungenerously throughout the event. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
RACE 8 – NSW BLUES TO WIN THE SERIES TONIGHT 2YO PACE – 1730 metres
ROCKNROLL BLING – Held up for clear racing room until the final 100 metres.
ARK SEA – Pre-race blood. Post-race sample.
COUNT YOUR BLESSIN – Pre-race blood. Driver B McDonough was questioned on the gelding’s overall performance when racing outside the leader gave ground over the final 400 metres to finish in seventh and last position beaten 70.1 metres. He stated although being disappointed in the run the gelding would derive benefit from the run as he was first up from a short let up. Considering the margin ARK SEA won the race no further action was taken.
