SHEZ BETTORS BABE – Pre-race swab. Driver Brett Hogan was spoken to in regards to the continuous manner he applied the whip to the mare inside the final 150m. Post-race swab
SHAKEN SANDS – Driver Codi Rauchenberger pleaded guilty to a charge under AHR Rule 168(1)(a) the particulars of the charge being passing the 400m whilst racing behind the leader she carelessly attempted to improve to the inside of ELLAVA PACER when there was insufficient room to do so resulting in her runner racing inside the line of marker pegs and having to be checked and restrained approaching the 300m. In assessing penalty stewards took into account the relevant considerations as outlined with the HRNSW Penalty Guidelines, placing particular weight on Ms Rauchenberger’s guilty plea & forthright evidence, the degree of carelessness which was assessed low range & her overall offence record being her first offence under this rule in 1100 drives. Stewards accordingly imposed a seven (7) day suspension of her licence to drive in races commencing midnight 27th June 2025.
ONE STUNIN MELODY – Held up and failed to gain clear running the entire length of the home straight.
RACE 2 – WAGGA TRADESMAN ACCOUNTING SERVICES PACE – 2270 metres
RUDIMENTARY – ($16.00) Trainer/driver Scott Hewitt was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which yielded ground from the 400m to finish in 7th position beaten 77.9m after trailing the leader throughout. Mr Hewitt attributed the performance to RUDIMENTARY rising from maiden status and the gelding having to be driven more aggressively in the early stages to hold a forward position combined racing over the longer distance & the overall quick mile rate to be the main factors to the performance. RUDIMENTARY will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
SHADES OF MIKI – ($1.85 Fav) Pre-race swab. Driver Tom Gilligan was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 5th position beaten 41.8m after racing outside the leader from the 1700m. Mr Gilligan advised the gelding to be disappointing and felt to be an underlying issue with SHADES OF MIKI as it would be the stable’s intentions to have blood samples obtained an analysed. Trainer Brooke McPherson will be contacted in the coming days regarding the progress of SHADES OF MIKI. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding displaying a slow post-race recovery.
SYENITE – ($61.00) Driver Harrison Ross was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which yielded ground rapidly from the 700m to finish in 9th and last position beaten 152.3m.
