OUR LUCIANO – Hung in after the start and broke stride.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

ARDENS ACE NZ – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

MONTEFIORE NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres

BARTELLO – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 900 metres.  Gave ground over the concluding stages.

TOMAHAWK BART – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

RACE 3 – WOODLANDS STUD SHUTTLING THE WORLD’S GREATEST STALLIONS PACE – 1609 metres

DOUBLE ACT – Held up in the early stages of the home straight before gaining clear running passing the 200 metres.

JOE NIEN – Examined prior to and following the running of this event as the gelding has competed in excess of 200 race starts.  The examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.  Pre-race blood sample.  Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

I BREAK THE LINE – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

MIKI PINS NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

RACE 4 – ESTABLISHED IN 1967 SUCCESS STUD LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

ONYX SHARD NZ – Pre-race blood sample. 

IDEAL IN DREAMS – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

MY CRACKLING ROSIE – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

CARRERA SUNSET NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.  Hung in passing the 400 metres.  Held up over the final 150 metres of the event.

RENEWAL – Held up in the home straight and not fully tested.

PANDAIA NZ – Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres.

RACE 5 – PRYDE’S STAMINA PACE – 1609 metres

MY MOONLITE DREAM NZ – Pre-race blood sample.

CAPTAINS KNOCK – Stewards questioned driver Brad Hewitt with regards to the performance of the horse which gave ground over the concluding stages to finish in seventh placing beaten 11 metres.  Mr Hewitt advised Stewards that he was disappointed with the performance of the horse this evening.  Mr Hewitt further explained that the horse felt awful both in the pre-race warm up and during the race and just did not travel at any stage.  A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed it to be suffering from a high heart rate.  Mr Hewitt further advised that he would look to have bloods taken from the horse early in the coming week and would advise Stewards of the results.  After considering the explanation provided by Mr Hewitt Stewards determined to take no further action other than to follow up the results with Mr Hewitt. Mr Hewitt advised Stewards that the endoscopic examination of the gelding revealed no apparent issues, however the blood test results indicated the horse may have been recovering from a virus.  

MAX DELIGHT – Pre-race blood sample.  Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the position outside the leader passing the 1200 metres.

UBETCHA TIGERPIE – Post-race swab sample.

MAJOR HOT NZ – Driver Jett Turnbull was fined $200 under Rule 156(7) for using his whip outside the confines of the sulky in the early and middle stages of the home straight.

RACE 6 – CORDINA CHICKEN FACTORY OUTLET 2YO TROTTERS FOUNDATION FINAL – 1609 metres

SUPERIOR STRIDE – Pre-race blood sample.

ADELAIDE RED – Hung in upon entry to the first turn.

CARTACALHA – Held up in the early stages of the home straight until gaining clear running passing the 150 metres.

CEE CEE IN PARIS – Hung out from the first turn until passing the 500 metres.  After considering the recent record of the filly a warning was issued.  Post-race swab sample.

ALDEBARAN TUCKER – Pre-race blood sample.

GLADIATRIX – Galloped out.  After considering the recent record of the filly, a warning was issued. 

ACACIA STRIDE – Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver Blake Fitzpatrick.  After considering the recent record of the filly, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

IM DREAMING – Contacted marker pegs and raced roughly passing the 1300 metres.

I CHOOSE YOU – Hung in during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 7 – AINSWORTH – AGTSLOTS.COM TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres

G O A T USA – Trainer Rickie Alchin was fined $100 under Rule 210 for the late notification of himself as the driver of the horse.

ALDEBARAN JENSEN – Worked forward to the lead passing the 2000 metres.  Hung in and contacted marker pegs passing the 400 metres. 

BET N WIN NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1700 metres.  Post-race swab sample.

HARRY STAMPER NZ – Pre-race blood sample.  Caught racing wide in the early stages of the event before working forward to the lead passing the 1900 metres.

RAKERO BLAZE NZ – Gave ground over the concluding stages.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

LEAF STRIDE NZ - Trainer Anton Golino was fined $100 under Rule 210 for the late notification of Gavin Fitzpatrick as the driver of the gelding.  Hung out during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.  After considering the recent record of the gelding it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

VALTINO – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and as a result was out of position at the start and took no competitive part in the event.  After considering the recent record of the horse, it will continue to be placed outside the mobile barrier draw.

SPEEDY LOVER – At the request of trainer David Aiken and after considering the recent record of the gelding the right outside the mobile barrier draw placed on the gelding was removed and the gelding was placed outside the mobile barrier draw for subsequent starts.

RACE 8 – HRNSW FOUR AND FIVE YEAR OLD TROT NSW FINAL (GROUP 2) – 1609 metres

ELLOWEN – Broke stride free of interference passing the 1200 metres.  After considering the recent record of the mare, it was stood down for a period of 10 days and until the completion of two requalifying trials.

MALIBUU – Pre-race blood sample.  Post-race swab sample.

LAST CLANSMAN – Raced roughly during the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.  After considering the recent record of the gelding, a warning was issued.

LONDON TO A BRICK – Pre-race blood sample.  Worked forward to the lead passing the 1300 metres.  Post-race swab sample.
