RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1980 metres.

WHAT AGAIN SHANNON – Raced greenly throughout and after commencing to weaken inside the 400 metres hung in momentarily and crowded BLING THE KASH.

ALTIANO – Passed required pre-race veterinary examination.

OAK RIDGE – Post-race swab sample.

BLING THE KASH – Crowded for some distance rounding the turn inside the 300 metres when racing tight on the inside of WHAT AGAIN SHANNON which shifted in, resulting in BLING THE KASH, contacting marker pegs and being directed inside one peg prior to the home turn.  Prior to the declaration of all clear, this incident was examined, and it was determined that this was caused by the intractability of WHAT AGAIN SHANNON and no advantage was gained by BLING THE KASH.

DOLLY MISS MOLLY – Hampered for a short distance racing in restricted room near the 300 metres tight between WHAT AGAIN SHANNON and ALTIANO.

CAROLSDIAMOND – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 2 – TASMANIAN HORSE TRANSPORT PACE – 1980 metres

FROZEN JEWEL – Post-race swab sample.

FLEUR BELLA – Pre-race blood sample.

RACE 3 – HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres.

CELEBRITY PRINCESS – When questioned in relation to the performance driver L Sutton explained, that the filly had worked well leading into today’s race and from its favourable draw it was the intention to drive forward in the early stages.  He said that after being driven vigorously after the start CELEBRITY PRINCESS raced comfortably in the lead and whilst the tempo was solid, he felt his drive was suited to this as it tended to be one paced in its racing.  He said that when placed under pressure inside the 500 metres CELEBRITY PRINCESS was unresponsive, could not improve and ran to the finish in a disappointing manner.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.

SYNCOPATED SHUFFLE – Pre-race blood sample.

SEE THE DREAM – Pulled hard during the early and middle stages.

RILEY ROCKET – When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted and the overall performance driver B Hughes explained that he had intended to obtain a leading position, if possible, from his wide draw.  He said that he drove with vigour after the start and was trapped wide rounding the turn entering the back straight on the first occasion.  He said that after this he again attempted to drive forward and race outside the lead however SEE THE DREAM on his inside was over racing and he was unable to cross that runner, further when he steadied to obtain cover behind it, SYNCOPATED SHUFFLE improved quickly on his inside which precluded him from achieving this.  He said that after this he was obliged to restrain to the rear of the field and take a position on the marker pegs.  He said that after shifting wider inside the 400 metres he placed SEE THE DREAM under pressure and it responded well however rounding the home turn it was hampered when locking wheels with OUR LUCILLE and was unbalanced for some distance.  He said that considering all the circumstances the performance of RILEY ROCKET was pleasing as it finished the race strongly.

WHENS LUNCH – Post-race swab sample.

RACE 4 – BROCK SAMPSON GOLF TAMWORTH PACE – 1980 metres

ONETANGI GIRL NZ – Post-race swab sample.

CAPTAIN GROOVE – Pre-race blood sample.  When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted particularly in the early stages driver B Elder explained, that he had intended to obtain a forward position with cover if possible, however when runners from his outside showed unexpected speed, they were able to cross him easily and he was obliged to restrain because of this.  He said that after this CAPTAIN GROOVE travelled well at the rear of the field and when SAN SABA improved quickly passing the 1000 metres he elected to shift out and follow it to a forward position.  He said that passing the winning post with a lap remaining he was able to restrain and obtain cover for a short while behind SAN SABA and after entering the back straight he again shifted wider and placed his drive under pressure however it was unresponsive and from that point CAPTAIN GROOVE could not improve and ran to the finish moderately.

ROCKNROLL CLARRY – Had to be continually steadied for some distance passing the winning post with a lap remaining when racing behind MYSTICAL SUNSHINE, which was weakening then after shifting wider to avoid that runner passing the 500 metres, obtained clear running inside runners rounding the turn near the 300 metres and improved sharply, then raced in restricted room rounding the home turn and was unable to obtain completely clear running in the home straight.

RACE 5 – HYGAIN – EQUINE FEED SPECIALISTS PACE – 1980 metres

COUNTRY MAJOR – When questioned in relation to the performance driver D Mackney explained, that the anti-choking device fitted to the gelding became displaced during the score up which he failed to notice until the race had commenced.  He said that thereafter COUNTRY MAJOR was difficult to drive due to being impeded by the gear malfunction and over the concluding stages he felt that the gelding experienced difficulty with its breathing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
