RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE – 2270 metres

LOYOLA GOLF – Over raced during the middle stages.
MEGS MONARO – Broke during the score up and a warning was issued.
RACE 2 – VALE TROY MULLINS – 1740 metres
FIVE OCLOCK WAVE – Driver Blake Jones was queried regarding the performance of the gelding which finished in 8th and last placing beaten 12 metres ($1.80 fav). Mr Jones explained that a combination of the early use made of the gelding and FIVE OCLOCK WAVE over racing during the middle stages told on the gelding over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination of FIVE OCLOCK WAVE revealed no significant abnormalities.

BILL - Pre-race swab sample. Locked wheels with INTHESWINGOFTHINGS passing the 50 metres.

RACE 3 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres
WAMBOYNINAMERICA – Broke soon after the start and inconvenienced RUSTY EL. A warning was placed on the record of WAMBOYNEINAMERICA. Had difficulty obtaining clear running inside the 100 metres.
MOP NZ – Held up rounding the home turn and entering the home straight prior to utilising the sprint lane.
THE TEXAS RANGER - Pre-race swab sample. Post-race veterinary examination of THE TEXAS RANGER, which paced roughly inside the final 200 metres, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer Neil Day advised since the gelding’s most recent start on 13 June 2025 THE TEXAS RANGER had undergone veterinary treatment to assist the gelding. Mr Day added that in light of the gelding continuing to pace roughly today, he would add an underdrawer to the gelding’s gear moving forward and also undertake remedial shoeing to try and prevent a reoccurrence. Mr Day was advised that THE TEXAS RANGER would continue to be placed on its last chance to race truly.
RUSTY EL – Inconvenienced after the start when WAMBOYNEINAMERICA broke gait.

RACE 4 – D & L EARTHMOVING PACE – 1740 metres
LACHIES IDEAL - Pre-race swab sample. Hung out under pressure passing the 200 metres.
YUKON BE SERIOUS NZ – Post-race swab sample.
AVA LEANNE – Held up inside the final 150 metres.
RACE 5 – FERELLA & SONS PLUMBING PACE – 1740 metres
JILLIBY RYDER – Paced roughly soon after the start and a warning was issued.
WAMBOYNE MACHETE – Tired over the concluding stages to finish in last position beaten 77 metres. In view of the fast time recorded some leniency was extended and a warning was issued.

RACE 6 – HARVEYS MOWER & CHAINSAW PACE – 2270 metres
ONYX SHARD NZ – Trainer Jason Grimson was fined $50 under Rule 268A(1) for failing to have the mare’s gear recorded. Post-race swab sample.
GUARANTEED END - Pre-race swab sample. Driver Peter McRae was questioned regarding the performance of the mare which gave ground over the concluding stages ($3.10). Mr McRae explained the filly over raced during the middle stages, which combined with the longer distance of 2270 metres, contributed to the filly giving ground over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination of GUARANTEED END revealed no significant findings.

RACE 7 – HERTZ CAR ENTAL PACE – 1740 metres

SKITTLE BOMB NZ – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight and again approaching the finish line.
RACE 8 – MATARANKA PARK STANDARDBREDS WARATAH HEAT – 1740 metres
BACKWARDS FIRST – Broke in the score up on the first attempt and a false start was declared. A warning was placed on the record of the mare. Post-race swab sample.
KOWHAI BLAZE NZ – Driver James Locke was questioned regarding the performance of the mare which finished in 8th place beaten 48 metres ($4.00 fav). Mr Locke explained the mare proved disappointing at its most recent start at Wagga on 20 June 2025 which the stable attributed to being over the longer 2270 metres distance. Mr Locke added KOWHAI BLAZE NZ again proved disappointing after today’s race was run to suit and advised he would recommend to connections the mare be given a brief let up before its next race start.
EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI – Hung in passing the 400 metres simultaneous to DONNIE MAC shifting out resulting in EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI and DONNIE MAC locking wheels and DONNIE MAC breaking gait as a consequence.
