RACE 1 – THE TAB APP 2YO PACE – 1740 metres

 

PAPIER MACHE – Pre-race swab sampled. Shifted-out under pressure in the home straight.

ROMEGHAN – Hung-out leaving the 1000 metres.

THE WICKED WARRIOR – Post-race swab sampled.

MISTER SEASIDE – Placed back in the draw for future mobile start races.

 

RACE 2 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres

 

SOCIAL STATUS – Pre-race swab sampled. Tired over the concluding stages, hung-in near 400 metres and was beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from a poor post-race recovery. Driver J Locke reported, when queried regarding the performance, that he was disappointed with her run as she had been working well leading into the race. Connections were advised it would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.

SEVENTH IMMORTAL – Tightened for room between MISS TIGER and NEED ME SOME SUGAR leaving the 400 metres, when NEED ME SOME SUGAR was inconvenienced and shifted-out marginally.

ELLESCHANCE – Raced roughly after the start.

NEED ME SOME SUGAR – Inconvenienced behind the tiring SOCIAL STATUS near the 400 metres. While activating gear Driver J Lamb dropped his foot from the sulky rest, he was reminded of his obligations under the rules.

EYE SEE EYE SEE – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start.

BAYRIDGE TOMMY – Inconvenienced and held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

THINK CHRISTI – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 3 – PREMIUM PUNTER PACE – 2270 metres

 

DEE TERROR – Tired over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer T White was queried regarding the performance; he stated that he was disappointed with its run but added that it may not have been suited by the longer distance of today’s race. He added that it was his intention to give the gelding a freshen-up following today’s performance.

MOP NZ – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane. Post-race swab sampled.

THE BANKER NZ – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

KEAYANG ALEX – Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 4 – RANVET LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres

 

CAPTAIN EVIE – Pre-race swab sampled. Raced roughly while being restrained entering the first turn.

STARSHINE LADY – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.

TUPELO – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 5 – RIVERINA CRANE SERVICES PACE – 2270 metres

 

MIKI LOCH – Inconvenienced leaving the 200 metres when CALIVIL broke gait. Momentarily held-up for clear running upon entering the home straight.

MILLYANO – Raced roughly during the score-up and was out of position at the start, given the mare’s record connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.

CALIVIL – Pre-race swab sampled. Broke gait free of interference near the 200 metres, for which a warning was issued.

ELLAVA PACER – Inconvenienced leaving the 200 metres when CALIVIL broke gait.

FOURTH RESPONSE – Post-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 6 – RIVERINA HOTEL PACE – 2270 metres

 

FEAR THE PAIN NZ – Driver J Painting was unable to activate the filly’s deafeners at his first attempt to do so with his foot upon entering the home straight and when attempting to do so by hand a short distance later dropped his foot from the sulky rest, he was reminded of his obligations under the rules. Post-race swab sampled.

SHES GOT A REASON – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it was having its first race start in over 12 months, and cleared to start.

KIMCANDO – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.

HY MAINTENANCE – Pre-race swab sampled.

 

RACE 7 – RIVERINA SIGNMAKERS PACE – 1740 metres

 

PERFECT STRANGER NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.

EXCLUSIVE HUSTLER – Driver T Potter was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the colt, she stated that it travelled well during the run, however, did not respond when placed under pressure from near the 500 metres and she was disappointed with its effort over the concluding stages.

NUGGET ROGERS – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn, prior to obtaining a run in the sprint lane.

 

RACE 8 – STROUD HOMES PACE – 1740 metres

 

UNCLE JAY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 12 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

MESSERATI – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

CARLO GAMBINO NZ – Post-race swab sampled.

BUBBY TO BASE – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.

WIPEOUT – Out of position at the start. Driver W Rixon was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to bring the gelding up into position behind the barrier at the start.

JUST ROLLYOUROWN NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
