RACE 1 – MEDOWIE LODGE PACE – 1609 metres

LOVE LOU – Post-race sample was taken.

CHEDDAR VALLEY NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 2 – NUTRIEN EQUINE STANDARDBRED SALES HRNSW GUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 1609 metres

GENERAL – Stewards delayed the declaration of all clear to review the patrol footage in relation to FRANKIROMAR galloping over the concluding stages.  Upon review Stewards determined that as FRANKIROMAR broke stride initially lunged and momentarily maintained its ground however from that point was restrained and did lose ground over the final stages of the event.  Given the margin to the next runner ONETANGI GIRL NZ (J Coney) Stewards did not feel an alteration of the placings was warranted and all clear given on judge’s numbers.

LETSGO MATILDA – Slow away as the start was affected.

POLKA DELIGHT NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.

FRANKIROMAR – Broke stride whilst under pressure over the concluding stages.  A warning was issued.

KRAFTY CANDY – Post-race sample was taken.

WATSLUVTOTTADO – Gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance. 

 

RACE 3 – SKYFALL ESTATE PACE – 2030 metres

CONOR MCGREGOR NZ – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners.

HALSEY NICOLE – Pre-race sample was taken.  Had a tendency to over race throughout the event as a result of contacting its own sulky and weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten a considerable distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Stewards advised connections that it would be stood down until can requalify on one occasion.

ELOUISA DALE NZ – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected.  A warning was issued.  Checked as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners. 

AVENGER NZ – Had a tendency to race roughly in the early stages of the event.  Broke stride as the field negotiated the final turn.  A warning was issued.

EYE CAN TRY – Driver J Meikle was reprimanded under rule 168(1)(a) in that when racing into the back straight on the first occasion shifted in locked wheels with (A Delosa) for short distance.

WAMBOYNEINAMERICA – Post-race sample was taken.

LASTING MEMORY – Momentarily locked wheels with EYE CAN TRY racing into the back straight on the first occasion.

 

RACE 4 – HARNESS BREEDERS NSW / REPRESENTING THE INDUSTRY PACE – 2030 metres

ZAHRA LOU – Pre-race sample was taken.  When questioned regarding the tactics and overall performance driver C Hart explained to Stewards that he was able to find a relatively easy lead in the early stages of the event and when presented with a challenge from ROCKAGONAL midway through the first quarter was able to maintain the lead position however that runner applied pressure to which the times remained consistent and was left somewhat wanting over the concluding stages.  Stewards noted his comments.

ROCKTAGONAL – Stewards opened an inquiry into the driving tactics of B Elder.  Stewards adjourned that inquiry to a time and date to be fixed.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  It was reported post-race and confirmed that the deafeners failed to release during the event.  When rounding the final turn when weakening was placed in restricted room.

APPLIED NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 5 – MITAVITE PACE – 1609 metres

LITTLE DEMON – When attempting to shift away from the marker pegs jostled with COOL NIGHT for a short distance.

ROCK FISHERMAN – Driver C Formosa was fined the sum of $200 under rule 168(1)(a) in that when leaving the back straight shifted back to the inside of SALLY BIGTIME and contacted its near side wheel resulting in a puncture.

LUVARESCHS – Pre-race sample was taken.  

COOL NIGHT – Driver A Ruggari was fined the sum of $100 under rule 170(1)(a) for dropping his foot away from the foot rest of the sulky shortly after entering the home straight for the run to the finish after engaging in a jostle with LITTLE DEMON

QUADDIE VIC NZ – Post-race sample was taken.

LACEYS LAD NZ – Fractious by way of rearing in the early stages of the score up.  A warning was issued.  Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested. 

SALLY BIGTIME – Sustained a puncture to its near side wheel leaving the 400 metres resulting in a flat tyre.

 

RACE 6 – WOODLANDS STUD SHUTTLING THE WORLDS BEST SIRES THREE YEAR OLD PACE – 1609 metres

GENERAL – Stewards delayed the declaration of all clear to review THE GREAT WAVE galloping as the field negotiated the final turn and the consequential effect of that.  Upon review Stewards noted THE GREAT WAVE galloped of its own accord and lost ground and checked a number of runners as a result.  As a result of the interference Stewards could not be satisfied that an alteration of the placings was warranted.  Stewards also reviewed OAK RIDGE when checked raced inside a number of marker pegs however Stewards did feel that driver J Coney met her obligations and restrained and returned to the course proper without causing interference and no further action was warranted.  In addition connections of CAPTAIN GROVE also reviewed the patrol footage and no further action came as a result.  Stewards declared all clear on judge’s numbers.

SLICK AND SUAVE – Checked and locked wheels as the field negotiated the final turn.

THE GREAT WAVE – Broke stride whilst leaving the back straight on the final occasion.  Stewards advised connections that it would be stood down until one requalifying trial due to its limited experience. 

BLING THE KASH – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn

UPSTREAM – Pre-race sample was taken.  

ERROL FIN – Post-race sample was taken.

FRANCOS DELIGHT – Broke stride during the latter stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was affected.  Connections were advised that it will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

CAPTAIN GROOVE – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn.

OAK RIDGE – Checked and contacted marker pegs as the field negotiated the final turn.

 

RACE 7 – ARTISTIC LODGE PACE – 1609 metres

LADY DELORIS – Pre-race sample was taken.  When questioned regarding the overall performance driver C Hart explained to Stewards that after beginning well was able to find the lead position however was met with a challenge from DOUBLE SAID as the field entered the first turn.  He further added that the pressure had continued and ultimately had to relinquish the lead position due to the early tempo.  He further added that travelled well with a sit and was able to present with a run to the finish and was not overly disappointed in its performance.  Stewards noted his comments.

DOUBLE SAID – When questioned regarding the tactics adopted driver J Coney explained to Stewards instructions were to attempt to lead the event and run along at a genuine tempo.  She further added that after being caught in a position outside of the lead in the early stages of the event her runner had a tendency to over race as a result of contacting its own sulky and was able to work forward to the lead position.  She further added that when gaining the lead her runner dropped the bit to whereas a result she was in her opinion obliged to drive along to get her runner to race genuine.  Weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  Stewards informed driver J Coney that the matter would be left open to review the wagering information in the event and other aspects.

RACE 8 – ALABAR AUSTRALIA PACE – 1609 metres

CRUSADER MISS – Post-race sample was taken.

BEANCOUNTER – Pre-race sample was taken.

 

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP MAIDEN PACE – 1609 metres

MISS ADONIS – Driver D Morgan was reprimanded under rule 163(1)(c) in that when negotiating the final turn contacted a number of marker pegs.

ADDOCAR – Post-race sample was taken.
