RACE 1 – TAB VENUE MODE PACE– 1770 metres

ROLL THE ACES – Broke gait clear of interference entering the first turn inconveniencing NEVS DREAM. A warning was issued against the racing manners of ROLL THE ACES. Tyre deflated of its own accord passing the 600m placing the gelding at a disadvantage.

LETSTACOBOUTIT – Pre-race swab. Driver Dean Cernovskis was issued a reprimand for his lack of control in allowing the gelding to shift up the track in the home straight.

COMPLICATED – ($51.00) Trainer Len Clement was queried into the seemingly improved performance of the mare (winner) compared to its most recent starts. Mr Clement attributed the performance to the adjustment in trackwork after recently changing training locations, Mr Clement added COMPLICATED had worked well leading into the event and was confident of more forward performance than prior starts as the mare was also benefited to an economical run throughout & was racing less superior opposition.  Post-race swab.

REASON TO LAUGH – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

PADDY MACH – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the gelding having started in excess of 200 starts & attaining the age of 12 years or older. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities.

NEVS DREAM – Inconvenienced entering the first turn when ROLL THE ACES broke gait. Broke gait passing the 600m. A warning was issued against NEVS DREAM racing manners. Trainer Mark Watson reported it would be his intentions to restrict racing the mare on half mile circuits in future.

RACE 2– MATT THE PAINTER PACE – 1770 metres

GLAMOURS SYMBOL – Underwent pre and post-race veterinary examinations due to the mare having started in excess of 200 starts. Neither examination revealed any significant abnormalities. Driver John Scott was fined the sum of $200 for applying the whip to the mare with more than a wrist flicking action and overt force inside the final 150m.

GLAMOURS FOX – Post-race swab.

KAMIKAZE SCOOB – Trainer Steven Lee was fined the sum of $100 under AHR Rule 273(5)(a) for presenting the gelding wearing the incorrect saddlecloth number into the parade ring. Driver James Locke was spoken too in regard to his loose reining upon straightening.

RACE 3 – SS&A OF ALBURY PACE – 1770 metres

RETURN SERVE – ($12.00) Driver Dean Cernovskis was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the gelding which finished in 6th position beaten 27.2m after leading. Mr Cernovskis  advised the gelding to be extremely disappointing and contributed the performance to the gelding having a displaced pallet which may have affected its performance. Mr Cernovskis added it would be the stables intentions to now reconsider the racing future of the gelding and possibly retire RETURN SERVE from racing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. RETURN SERVE will now be stood down from racing until trialling to the satisfaction of stewards on one (1) occasion.

ALWAYSATTHEBEACH – Held up during the early stages of the home turn prior obtaining clear running.

MEGS MONARO – Pre-race swab. Pulled hard throughout the event.

OLE CHEASTER – Began badly as the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of OLE CHEASTER. Took no competitive part in the event.

CRESCO THREEPEAT – Post-race swab.

MELATI BOY – ($7.00) Driver Blake Jones was queried into the overall performance of the gelding which finished in 5th position beaten 13.7m after racing three (3) back along the marker line throughout the event. Mr Jones advised he was satisfied with the performance as the gelding lacks any high speed and was held up and tightened for racing room passing the 400m when attempting to shift wider on the track which the gelding lost momentum which were the main factors to the gelding failing to run on over the latter stages.

RACE 4– TRAVLA-AUSTRALIAN LAGER LADYSHIP PACE – 1770 metres

BILLEES JET – Pre-race swab. Driver Ky Bloomfield was issued a reprimand for contacting and dislodging a marker peg around the final turn when leading.

BONJORGE – Broke gait upon straightening when a marker peg was dislodged into the mares racing line causing BONJORGE therefore to break gait stewards refrained taking any action against BONJORGE.

TAPANGA MISS – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

KRISTYSGIRL – Post-race swab.

SHE IS LOVELY – Held up during the early stages of the home straight.

RACE 5 – HARD AS CONCRETERS BACK STRAIGHT PACE – 2170 metres

BONDI LASS – ($4.40) Trainer/driver Codi Rauchenberger was queried into the overall performance of the filly which finished in 8th position beaten 16.8m after leading. Ms Rauchenberger advised the filly to be disappointing and contributed the performance to a combination to BONDI LASS racing over the longer distance & keenly along with the continuous pressure applied throughout the event. Ms Rauchenberger added it would be her intentions to attempt to restrict the filly to the shorter course distances in future. BONDI LASS will now be placed on its last chance to race truly when hanging outwards under pressure from the 600m which allowed sufficient room for HESHARLEY to improve. Ms Rauchenberger added she would undertake further gear alterations to prevent any reoccurrence.

CARIBBEAN PRIDE – Inconvenienced passing the 1600m when the speed of the event eased in the running line.

HEAVENS BADGIRL – Driver Peter McRae was issued a reprimand under AHR Rule 162(1)(u) for easing the pace in the running line approaching the 1600m which inconvenienced CARIBBEAN PRIDE & checking FRESH PRINCE which broke gait. In not taking further action stewards were mindful of the racing manners of FRESH PRINCE which was pulling and unable to be restrained. Post-race swab.

FRESH PRINCE – Raced roughly entering the first turn. Pulled hard during the early & middle stages of the event. Checked and broke gait passing the 1600m when the speed of the event eased in the running line.

BRAEBEACH NZ – Inconvenienced passing the 600m when BONDI LASS shifted outwards causing the gelding to be forced wider on the track from the 600m.

RACE 6 – DISCOUNT GROCERY WAREHOUSE LAVINGTON PACE – 1770 metres

MAJOR TRANSPARENCY – Fractious leaving the pre-race circle and jibbing & swinging in the opposite direction prior to being corrected.  MAJOR TRANSPARENCY will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile events. In taking this action stewards were mindful the filly was placed back in the draw at its most recent start after displaying similar mannerisms in prior starts. Broke gait clear of interference passing the 600m. A warning was issued against MAJOR TRANSPARENCY racing manners.

LOOKIDEAL – Post-race swab

MISTER RAUDONIKIS – Pre-race swab.

RACE 7 – ALBURY WODONGA KITCHENS PACE – 1770 metres

SHERMAN – Pre-race swab. Held up and failed to gain clear running in the home straight.

YOO TRISH – Pre-race swab. Driver Michael Towers dropped his foot entering the first turn momentarily.

NO MORE PROMISES – Broke its nearside hopple connecting strap upon straightening placing the mare at a disadvantage. The gear was inspected by stewards and found to be of sound quality. Post-race swab.

KOZACZYNSKI – Declared a late scratching at 8:34pm on veterinary advised when the gelding became unbalanced the in the race day stalls area. KOZACZYNSKI will now be stood down pending a veterinary clearance. Driver George Lee was spoken to in regard to his conduct.
