RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD THE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1740 metres
ALL SO SASSY – Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position at the start, for which a warning was issued.
THATS THE ATTITUDE – Driver P McRae was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the gelding, he stated that he was disappointed with its run, felt they were able to lead quite comfortably and were able to set reasonable sectionals while leading. He added that it was under pressure from near the 400 metres and did not respond to his urgings. He further added that they were somewhat at a loss to explain it although it can sometimes not race as well when leading and they may look to alter their tactics with it in similar circumstances in future.
THE BANKER NZ – Post-race swab sampled.
CRIMSON ROCK NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
SHEZA BETTOR GEM – Pre-race swab sampled.
CENTREFIRE – Raced three wide form the start until being restrained to the rear of the field near the 800 metres. Driver K Bloomfield was questioned regarding his tactics, he stated that he had been instructed to attempt to get a forward position from the start as the gelding is a bit one-paced and tends not to race as well when taken back. He added that the gelding showed some speed from the start so elected to press forward and he was able to get into a three wide trailing position on the back of THE BANKER NZ from near the 1400 metres, and when that runner got to the position outside the leader near the 1200 metres he continued to drive forward as he felt it would surrender that position to him. He added that near the 1000 metres it was apparent that THE BANKER NZ was not going to surrender that position and he restrained his runner to get cover, however when he got back to the tail of the field the gelding dropped the bit and he had difficulty getting it to respond to his urgings.
RACE 2 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres
GLAMOUR FOX – Held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight.
HES A TERROR – Pre-race swab sampled.
TIGER CHEDDAR – Pre-race swab sampled.
REDBANK HARRY – Examined by the Club Veterinarian prior to the race, as it is 13 years old and it has had over 200 race starts, and cleared to start.

SPIRIT OF SAHARA – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 4 – STEEL SUPPLIES 2YO PACE – 1740 metres
YIRRADIVA – Declared a late scratching at 10.35am on Vet’s advice.
KINGS FURY – Pre-race swab sampled. Momentarily raced roughly approaching the 1000 metres. Post-race swab sampled.
PAPIER MACHE – Broke gait during the score-up and was out of position at the start, given it was just the gelding’s second race start connections were advised that it would be placed outside the draw for future mobile start races.
RACE 5 – SUCCESS STUD PACE – 2270 metres
VINCE LOMBARDI NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
PERSONIFIED – Driver C Hart was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the filly, he stated that at the 400 metres she was travelling like she was going to win easily, however upon entering the home straight she began to struggle, and he felt she didn’t quite see out the extra distance of today’s race.
FIANO – Tired over the concluding stages and beaten by a considerable margin. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Driver H O’Neill was questioned regarding the performance, he stated that it was probably not suited racing outside the leader over the longer distance of todays race. He added he had hoped to get cover mid-race however that did not eventuate. Given the circumstances and the mare’s recent record, connections were advised that it would be placed on its last chance to race truly.
SPECTA – Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 6 – TASCO PETROLEUM LADYSHIP PACE – 1740 metres
FEAR THE PAIN NZ – Post-race swab sampled.
MARDIBRINGSAPARTY – Pre-race swab sampled. Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.
BACKWARDS FIRST – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event.
JUST ROCK ME LOU NZ – Over-raced during the middle stages of the event. Driver C Hart was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare; he stated that he was disappointed with its run but felt it over-racing the way it did definitely effected its run.
RACE 7 – WALSH & BLAIR PACE – 1740 metres
TIZZY LIZZIE – Driver H O’Neill was queried regarding the below market expectations performance of the mare, he stated that he was disappointed with its run and could offer no tangible reasons for it.
OHOKA NICO NZ – Pre-race swab sampled. Post-race swab sampled.
RACE 8 – NORTH SHORE CAFE PACE – 1740 metres
SUNSET STRIDE – Inconvenienced behind the tiring MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ leaving the 400 metres.
MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ – Tired over the concluding stages. Driver J Painting was questioned regarding the performance, he stated that after leading quite comfortably he elected to obtain cover when WIPEOUT improved to his outside, and he heard that runner contacting its own sulky wheel. He added that from near the 1000 metres the gelding didn’t really travel all that well and from near the 600 metres was making an abnormal breathing noise, which he felt at the time was due to the gelding getting its tongue over the bit, however following the race discovered that wasn’t the case. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any significant abnormalities. Connections were advised the gelding would be required to perform a re-qualifying trial.
TRIPLE ROCK SAINT NZ – Inconvenienced behind the tiring MIGHTY FLYING ART NZ leaving the 400 metres.
WIPEOUT – Hung-in rounding the home turn and contacted a marker peg. Hung-in under pressure in the home straight.
BUSINESS IN HEAVEN – Post-race swab sampled.
CARLO GAMBINO NZ – Pre-race swab sampled.
