RACE 1 – MEMBERS NIGHT PACE – 2030 metres
ULTIMATE RHAPSODY – Post-race sample was taken.

RACE 2 – MR AIR & ELECTRICAL PACE – 2030 metres
ARNIES ARMY NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
ONEHANDONEBOUNCE – Pre-race sample was taken.
YESNOMAYBESO – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported.
MATT GREGORS BOY – Broke in the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued. Had a tendency to hang in as the field rounded the final turn when weakening through the field when weakening. When questioned regarding the performance driver D Morgan explained to Stewards that leaving the back straight had a tendency to hang in and was disappointing over the concluding stages.
KAROKE KING – Checked as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners.
RACE 3 – PARTY PETES PENSION PACE – 1609 metres
IRE OF THE DRAGON – Post-race sample was taken.
MY LADY SARAH – Pre-race sample was taken.
NIFTY STUDLEIGH – Examined pre and post-race by the veterinarian with no abnormalities reported. Driver B Elder was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile barrier prior to the start being affected. Placed in restricted room entering the first turn.
HEAVENLY REASON – Driver J Gallagher was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to maintain his position on the mobile barrier prior to the start being affected. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
ROSE NOIRE NZ – Driver G Panella was fined the sum of $50 under rule 162(1)(h) for failing to maintain her position on the mobile barrier prior to the start being affected. Driver G Panella was further reprimanded under rule 163(1)(a)(iii) in that when entering the first turn closed down the track and restricted the racing room of NIFTY STUDLEIGH until such runner shortly after was obliged to towards the marker pegs.
WAMBOYNEINAMERICA – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
RACE 4 – SOMERSET MEATS PACE – 1609 metres
COOL NIGHT – Post-race sample was taken.
LITTLE DEMON – When questioned regarding the tactics and overall performance driver S Lindsay explained that after going forward in the early stages of the event with the intention to lead was unable to cross with COOL NIGHT progressing forward to its inside. He further added that as driver J Callaghan was driving in a neutral manner in his opinion elected to go forward and have a secondary attempt at the position in the lead however again was unsuccessful. He further added that he restrained during the second quarter to attempt to gain some respite however given the early efforts was somewhat disappointing over the concluding stages. Stewards noted his comments.
SHELL SHOCK NZ – Pre-race sample was taken.
BETTERTHANFEDERER – Hampered as the field negotiated the final turn when trailing weakening runners.
DUGGEE SLOY – Pre-race sample was taken.
RACE 5 – GLOBAL BRANDS LIQUOR PACE – 1609 metres
PORT AU PRINCE NZ – Had a tendency to hang in as the field negotiated the final turn.
FOXY DADA – Pre-race sample was taken.
SURFERS DELIGHT NZ – Post-race sample was taken.
MASTER CATCH – When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hughes explained that it was under pressure racing down the back straight on the final occasion which is not unusual and when rounding the final turn felt his runner maintained its ground however over the concluding stages dropped to be beaten some distance. Driver B Hughes was not overly disappointed in the performance given the run afforded in the conditions.
RACE 6 – TOOHEYS PACE – 1609 metres
SPEARHEAD – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected. A waring was issued.
BRING YOUR BEST – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected. A waring was issued.
MACS TOMADO – Post-race sample was taken.
POPSTAROMAR – Pre-race sample was taken.
JOGALONG BLUE – Broke stride shortly after the start was affected. Connections were advised that it will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.
WAR WESTERN – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
BLAZIN CHIMES – Held up for clear running over the concluding stages and not fully tested.
GENERAL – Following the event a number of drivers expressed concerns around visibility. Upon consultation with club officials the decision was made to abandon the remainder of the meeting due to the state of the track and on going inclement weather conditions.
