Stewards undertook an inspection of the track & the mobile barrier was tested after significant rainfall prior to the first race which the track was passed suitable for the meeting to continue and to be constantly monitored with further rainfall. Trainers were advised mudguards were required to be worn.

RACE 1 – DONGES IGA PACE– 1720 metres

BACKWARDS FIRST – Pre-race swab. Driver Harrison Ross was adversely spoken too into the reasons why he performed his preliminary in the opposite direction. Mr Ross was advised if he fails to comply with directions going forward action would be taken against his licence. Post-race swab.

CAMANCHI WARRIOR – Driver Jye Coney was spoken to in regards to the manner he applied the whip over the concluding stages.

SHES BELIEVABLE – Pre-race swab. Hung inwards and raced roughly shortly after the start was effected.

SPIRIT LEVEL – Yielded ground from the 500m to finish in 10th and last position beaten 62.8m. Steward refrained taking any action against the gelding due to the adverse conditions.

CARMEN ON BLING – Broke gait entering the first when attempting to jump a water reflection mark on the track. Steward refrained taking any action against the gelding.

SHES GOT A REASON – Hung inwards and raced roughly shortly after the start was effected.

NIFTY AMBITION – Held up during the early stages of the home straight.

RACE 2– HILLTOPS EQUINE CENTRE PACE – 1720 metres

FULL OF SPICE – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

PENCIL ME IN – ($3.80) Broke gait during the score up a warning was issued against the mare’s barrier manners. Driver Melissa Hawke was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 8th position beaten 18.2m after racing in a favourable one-one position for majority of the event. Ms Hawke  attributed the performance to the mare to being urged off the barrier arm and over racing throughout the event combined the mare did not handle the wet track conditions. A post-race veterinary examinations failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ALLEGRETTO – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up. ALLEGRETTO will now be placed on its last chance in the draw. Over raced during the middle stages of the event.

CATHS IN DENIAL – Gave ground from the 400m to finish in 9th position beaten 43.6m.

RACE 3 – TRIMECH PACE – 1720 metres

SANDERS – Broke gait during the early stages of the score up. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of SANDERS.

MEGS MONARO – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

ULTIMATE TROUBLE– Post-race swab.

SYENITE – Pre-race swab. Broke gait during the middle stages of the score up and was significantly out of position when the start was effected. SYENITE will now be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start event. SYENITE took no competitive part in the event.

SOUNDS TREACHEROUS – Driver Nic Horan was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to come up into position resulting in SOUNDS TREACHEROUS being out of position when the start was effected.

RACE 4– YOUNG CELLARS PACE – 1720 metres

THE RINGMASTER – Broke gait shortly after the start was effected. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of THE RINGMASTER.

LETSTACOBOUTIT – Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.

ORANGE FEVER – Raced roughly approaching the 700m.

ARMA THE GREAT – Pre-race swab.  Checked shortly after the start was effected when  THE RINGMASTER broke gait. Held up during the early stages of the home straight prior obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.

CATCH THE SHARK – Driver Brent Blythe was fined the sum of $200 under AHR Rule 156(3) for the continuous manner he applying the whip to the gelding from the 500m to the finish without allowing the gelding time to respond. Mr Blythe was further reminded of his obligations of loose reining & his untidiness over the final 200m.  Post-race swab.

RACE 5 – YOUNG SERVICES CLUB PACE – 1720 metres

LEAD ROLE – Held up and failed to gain clear running for the entire length of the home straight.

ALICE ON THE BEACH – Pre-race swab. Hung out despite the drivers’ efforts from the 600m.

BILLEES JET – ($4.80) Driver Jackson Painting was queried into the seemingly poor performance of the mare which finished in 10th and last position beaten 28.3m after racing in a favourable one out three back position. Mr Painting advised the mare to be disappointing and could not offer any tangible explanation for the performance. Mr Painting added trainer Gerard Cooper would reassess the racing future of the mare within his stable.

I LIKA STYLE – Driver Jon Ponsonby was adversely spoken into the manner he scored up in the incorrect barrier position during the early stages of the event prior to being advised & corrected by the starter prior to the start being effected. Mr Ponsonby was advised any future reoccurrence would see action taken against his licence.

IRK MCGLURK – Post-race swab.

RACE 6 – HRNSWGUARANTEED LADYSHIP PACE – 2100 metres

PLAYING FOR KEEPS – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

ONE STUNIN MELODY – Inconvenienced upon straightening when CAPTAIN EVIE shifted ground.

VALENTINI – ($8.50) Trainer/driver Phoebe Betts was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished in 8th and last position beaten 44.2m after racing in a favourable one out two back position for majority of the event. Ms Betts advised the mare to be disappointing and was at a loss to explain the performance other than the mare failed to let down in the wet conditions.

CAPTAIN EVIE – Driver Jackson Painting was issued a reprimand for the manner he shifted ground upon straightening which inconvenienced ONE STUNIN MELODY momentarily.

MILLYANO – Raced roughly after the start was effected. MILLYANO will continue to be excluded from the barrier draw in future mobile start events.

RACE 7 – POPPAS FUDGE FACTORY THREE YEAR OLD PACE – 1720 metres

JASPERSTIMETOSHINE – Broke gait under pressure upon straightening checking BASILS BLACKSPARRA. A warning was issued against the gelding racing manners.

JESSIE LEE – Trainer Mark Hewitt was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 210 for the late declaration of Harrison Ross as the driver. Post-race swab.

RUDIMENTARY – Pre-race swab.

MISTER BOOMBASTIK – Broke gait clear of interference passing the 500m checking  HESKOALATEE & BASILS BLACKSPARRA. A warning was issued against the racing manners of the colt.

HESKOALATEE – Checked passing the 500m when MISTER BOOMBASTIK broke gait.

BASILS BLACKSPARRA – Checked passing the 500m when MISTER BOOMBASTIK  broke gait. Checked upon straightening when JASPERSTIMETOSHINE broke gait.

RACE 8 – RIVERINA STOOKFEEDS MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

HEAVENS PLEASURE – Pre-race swab.

ELLESCHANCE – ($3.70 Fav) Trainer Scott Hewitt was fined the sum of $50 under AHR Rule 210 for the late declaration of Jackson Painting as the driver. Raced roughly shortly after the start was effected. Driver Jackson Painting was queried into the seemingly poor performance if the filly which finished in 10th and last position beaten 54.8m after racing outside the leader throughout. Mr Painting attributed the performance to the filly pulling hard throughout the event to be the main factor for ELLESCHANCE performance. Steward refrained taking any action against the filly due to the adverse track conditions.

MISS TIGER – Post-race swab.

SOLVE THE CRIME – ($5.00) Pre-race swab. James Locke was queried into the performance of the filly which finished in 6th position beaten 25.9mafter racing in a favourable one-one position throughout the event. Mr Locke attributed the performance to the filly pulling hard during the middle stages of the event and failing to let down in the wet conditions.

BROBENAH GIRL – Out of position when the start was effected despite the drivers’ efforts. A warning was issued against the barrier manners of BROBENAH GIRL. Driver Melissa Hawke was issued a reprimand for dropping her foot passing the 700m when activating removable gear. Yielded ground from the 600m to finish in 9th position beaten 52.5m. Steward refrained taking any action against the mare due to the adverse track conditions.

RACE 9 – THE TAB APP MAIDEN PACE – 1720 metres

MERRYWOOD MARY – Pre-race swab & Post-race swab.

SHOOBEES SUNSET – ($23.00) Driver Nathan Hurst was queried into the overall performance of the mare which finished 9th position beaten 37m after racing in favourable one-one position for majority of the event. Mr Hurst advised the mare failed to handle the wet track conditions.

BARKWAY THOMAS – Hung inwards during the score up & hung inwards at various stages of the event. A warning was issued against the racing manners of BARKWAY THOMAS.
