RACE 3 – SIXT CAR & TRUCK RENTAL TAMWORTH PACE – 1609 metres

JACKS UP – Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination. Post-race swab sample.

JOHNNY DEE – Pre-race blood sample. When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted Driver S Rushbrook explained that when driving forward after the start, she thought that she would cross COUNTRY MAJOR with ease and obtain the position outside the lead. She said that her attempt to do this resulted in her drive having to be placed under more pressure than she thought beneficial and therefore she desisted and attempted to obtain cover in the running lin. She said that after this the gelding pulled hard and was extremely difficult to restrain which resulted in her being trapped wide without cover for a considerable distance and it weakening inside the 400. She added that with hindsight she should have persisted with her effort to cross COUNTRY MAJOR rounding the turn after the start and attempt to get her drive to settle thereafter. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

ROLAMAX - Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination.

BETTORS BOY – Raced in restricted room rounding the home turn and was never able to obtain completely clear running in the home straight.

CLASSIC ARC - Passed required pre- and post-race veterinary examination. Hampered and obliged to race slightly wider rounding the turn after the start when attempting to avoid ANTETOKOUNMPO. Had to be checked for some distance and lost ground before being shifted wider inside the 500 metres when attempting to avoid APACHE WHITESOX which weakened quickly at that point.

APACHE WHITESOX – Broke stride during the score up, took charge of its driver and galloped for some distance, resulting in a false start being declared. Connections were advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing record. Subsequently, APACHE WHITESOX was returned to the start and passed fit to compete by the Club’s veterinary officer. Pulled hard during the early and middle stages and could not be properly restrained prior to weakening noticeably inside the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was lame in the near hindleg. Connections were advised that prior to racing again APACHE WHITESOX must perform tractably in two official qualifying trials and would be subject to a 14 day stand down period. Further, prior to racing again, the gelding must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its fitness.

THOMAS ROYALE – Had to be checked and shifted wider rounding the turn after the start when racing outside MACEDES.

JOE BY THE SEASIDE NZ – Hampered and forced wider rounding the turn after the start when racing outside CLASSIC ARC.

RACE 8 – GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND APPRECIATION PACE – 1609 metres

PRINCESS REMI – When questioned in relation to the performance, Driver K Hepworth explained that after being driven with vigour after the start she was unable to cross AMILLION PROMISES and obliged to race at the head of the running line. She said that this did not suit the mare which became unresponsive from the 700m and weakened noticeably from that point. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised that prior to racing again PRINCESS REMI must perform competitively in an official qualifying trial.

PARATROUPER – Post-race swab sample.
