RACE 1 – DOWNLOAD HE TAB APP TODAY PACE – 1740 metres
KOBES CHAINSAW – Pre-race blood sample. Worked forward to the lead passing the 1100 metres. Post-race swab sample.
JUNGLE SHARK – Out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver Blake Jones for which a warning was issued.
PACIFIC TIMEKEEPER – Tired over the concluding stages to be beaten 89.6 metres for which a warning was issued.
NEED ME SOME SUGAR – Approaching the 300 metres raced roughly before hanging in and breaking gait. NEED ME SOME SUGAR will now be required to complete one re-qualifying trial.
JEWEL ANGEL – At the request of connections will now be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.
BAYRIDGE TOMMY – Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.
YANKEE BABE - Pre-race blood sample. Driver Mikayla Towers was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have the mare in position at the starting point.
RACE 2 – HRNSW GUARANTEED 2YO PACE – 1740 metres
MACHX THE STRANGER – Post-race blood sample.
BETTOR JAX NZ - Pre-race blood sample. Driver Nathan Jack was questioned regarding the seemingly below market expectation performance of the gelding ($1.55) after finishing in 5th position beaten 10.2 metres. Mr Jack stated it was the gelding’s first start and he elected to restrain from the wide draw which is how the gelding will continue to be driven in the near future, rounding the final turn BETTOR JAX NZ raced roughly which made it difficult to work into the event. Mr Jack stated he was not disappointed in the overall performance of the gelding as it was consistent with his recent trial form.
RACE 3 – YIRRIBEE STUD PACE – 1740 metres
IMPERIOUS – Over raced throughout.
HES A TERROR - Driver Peter McRae was questioned on his driving tactics in the early stages of the event, when racing in a running line position VILLAGE AREA as able to shift from a three wide position to a running line position in advance of HES A TERROR. Mr McRae explained his horse was slow to begin despite his vigorous driving and commenced to hang in when entering the first turn and he was unable to hold his position, at the same time the runners in the running line in advance of HES A TERROR commenced to improve forward opening the gap further for VILLAGE AREA. Stewards noted his comments.
CLASSIC BEESMACK – Over raced throughout. Driver George Lee was fined $200 under Rule 156(2)(a) for applying the whip in more than a wrist only flicking motion in the early stages of the home straight.

VILLAGE AREA - Pre-race blood sample.
MAJOR HUSS - Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.
RACE 4 – WELCOME TO THE WORLD MIA ROSE DUCK PACE – 1740 metres
SHOULDBETWOBYTWO– Approaching the 600 metres hung out and raced roughly.
PERSONIFIED – Post-race swab sample.
IM BUTTER BLUE - Pre-race blood sample. Driver Nathan Jack was questioned regarding the overall performance of the filly which gave ground over the concluding stages to be beaten 41.1 metres. Mr Jack explained that after receiving a good run in transit the filly failed to run on over the concluding stages and he was disappointed in the performance.

RACE 5 – NUTRIEN EQUINE PACE – 1740 metres
FEAR THE POWER – Post-race swab sample.
PAPENHUYZEN NZ - Pre-race blood sample.
KARINYA HAZ – Raced roughly rounding the home turn for which a warning was issued. Driver George Lee was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(h) for failing to have the gelding in position at the starting point.
RACE 6 – SOUTHWEST STCOKFEEDS PACE – 1740 metres
HY MAINTENANCE – Driver Blake Jones was questioned on the overall performance of the filly after tiring to beaten 20.2 metres. Mr Jones explained the filly had gotten its tongue over the bit which may have contributed to the overall performance. Mr Jones further stated he was disappointed with the filly’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
ELATED NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Broke after the start for which a warning was issued.
TREACHEROUS BELLE – Post-race swab sample.
CENTREFIRE – Commenced to tire from the 1000 metres to be beaten 72.8 metres. In view of the gelding’s overall performance CENTREFIRE will be required to complete one re-qualifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
IM HARVEY SPECTRE NZ – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
RACE 7 – STROUD HOMES PACE – 1740 metres
MAGINOT LINE – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
HEAVENS BADGIRL - Pre-race blood sample.
MARDIBRINGSAPARTY – Driver Bruce Harpley was fined $50 under Rule 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his position behind the starting gate.
FEAR THE PAIN NZ – Broke in the score up for which a warning was issued. Post-race swab sample.
RACE 8 – VALE ALICE MULLINS – 1740 metres
RENROW BOY – Pre-race blood sample. Approaching the 200 metres became unbalanced and broke gait. RENROW BOY will now be required to complete one re-qualifying trial.
NUGGET ROGERS – Post-race swab sample.
DONNIE MAC – Passing the 300 metres contacted and flattened the near side sulky wheel of UNCLE JAY as a result of BUBBY TO BASE breaking gait and checking UNCLE JAY. Checked approaching the 200 metres as a result of RENROW BOY breaking gait.
BUBBY TO BASE – Raced roughly after the start. Became unbalanced and broke gait approaching the 300 metres for which a warning was issued.
ALABAMA LIONESS – Approaching the 200 metres was checked as a result of RENROW BOY breaking gait.
UNCLE JAY - A pre and post-race veterinary examination was conducted due to the gelding being 13 years of age and having competed in excess of 200 race starts. Both examinations failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Checked passing the 300 metres and had its near side sulky wheel contacted when BUBBY TO BASE broke gait. Checked approaching the 200 metres as a result of RENROW BOY breaking gait.

RACE 9 – MATARANKA PARK STANDARDBREDS WARATAH HEAT – 1740 metres
AROMET GIRL – Held up for clear running in the home straight and was not fully tested.

KIMCANDO – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
WIPEOUT – Hung in under pressure in the home straight.
