RACE 1 – WARDS ACCOUNTING GROUP TROTTERS MOBILE – 1609 metres

DONNIE GAL – Driver R Cernovskis was cautioned in relation to her whip use in particular approaching the 200 metres when applying the whip on at least one occasion with a free hand.

SPEAK VOLUMES – Became unbalanced and galloped passing the 500 metres for which the gelding was stood down until it completes two requalifying trials and for a period of 10 days.

TUNBRIDGE – Pre-race blood sample. Improved three wide until obtaining a position in the running line passing the 1050 metres. Post-race swab sample.

LAST CLANSMAN – Out of position at the start for which a warning was issued. Checked behind the galloping SPEAK VOLUMES leaving the 500 metres. Stewards questioned Driver R Morris in relation to the performance of the gelding. Mr Morris explained that after losing momentum after being checked on the back of SPEAK VOLUMES passing the 500 metres he felt this had cost his gelding over the concluding stages. Stewards noted his comments.

MAJORETTE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Trainer B Fox was issued a reprimand under Rule 41(1) in that he presented MAJORETTE NZ approximately 6 minutes late to the stabling area. Stewards questioned Driver G McElhinny in relation to the performance of the filly when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 85.7 metres and finished in 9^th position. Mr McElhinney explained the filly tired down the home straight but could offer no explanation into the filly’s performance. In view of the disappointing performance of MAJORETTE NZ the filly was stood down until it completes one requalifying trial. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

YOUR MAJESTY – Out of position at the start for which the filly will continue to be placed outside of the mobile barrier draw. Hampered behind the galloping SPEAKS VOLUMES passing the 500 metres.

MAJESTIC CONNIES NZ – Will now be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 2 – PRYDE’S ENERGYPAK TROTTERS MOBILE – 2300 metres

PROHIBITED LOVE – Galloped out at the start for which a warning was issued.

RAKERO BLAZE NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Raced three wide in the early stages until obtaining the position outside the leader passing the 1900 metres and improved to the lead passing the 1500 metres. Post-race swab sample.

 

RACE 3 – CONDELL PARK PRODUCE PACE – 1609 metres

SAPPHIRENDIAMONDS – Pre-race blood sample.

MICKEY BE NIMBLE – Unable to secure clear running in the early stages of the home straight.

SHARJAH – Stewards questioned Trainer/Driver Stephanie Morris in relation to the performance of the gelding when failing to run on over the concluding stages to be beaten 22.9 metres and finished in last position ($3.40). Mrs Morris explained that the gelding had progressed well this preparation prior to getting to the races for its first race start today and as a result connections were of the opinion they may look to freshen the gelding.

TOMMYS LUCK – Driver D Murphy was cautioned in relation to his whip use in the home straight.

LONGTAN VIPER – Post-race swab sample.

SPECIALIZE LOU – Will now be reincluded into the mobile barrier draw.

 

RACE 4 – AGT SLOTS PACE – 1609 metres

WHAT FOR – Pre-race blood sample.

DANCING WITH MY EX – Post-race swab sample.

LARRIKIN LENNY – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 1100 metres.

 

RACE 5 – SUCCESS STUD – SPELLING HORSE SERVICES PACE – 1609 metres

ALL NIGHT LONG NZ – Stewards questioned Trainer/Driver N Zbiljic in relation to the performance of the mare when failing to run over the concluding stages to be beaten 35.1 metres and finished in 9^th position. Mr Zbiljic explained he drove the mare in  its usual racing pattern and was able to find the lead during the early stages however failed to run on over the concluding stages. Mr Zbiljic explained that he was happy with the performance two starts ago at Penrith when driven in a similar manner and could offer no further explanation into the performance of the mare.

RACE 6 – KING OF SWING STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE FARM PACE – 1609 metres

SUPER DUPER DUDE NZ – Tightened entering the first turn when TUKAHA was taken down the track by SOHO THE REAL DEAL when that runner was shifted down the track without the required clearance. Over raced and contacted the sulky of SOHO THE REAL DEAL passing the 800 metres.

TUKAHA – Tightened when being taken down the track by SOHO THE REAL DEAL passing the 1400 metres. Hung in throughout the event for which a warning was issued.

SOHO THE REAL DEAL – Driver W Rixon was issued a reprimand under Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) for causing interference in that passing the 1400 metres he has allowed SOHO THE REAL DEAL to shift down the track without the required clearance over TUKAHA and as a result that runner was tightened and taken down inside the running of SUPER DUPER DUDE NZ resulting in that runner also being tightened for room. Had its sulky contacted passing the 800 metres by SUPER DUPER DUDE NZ when that runner was over racing when trailing. Post-race swab sample.

EXPLOSIVE BRONSKI – Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion.

RACE 7 – HYLAND HARNESS FULL SUITS PACE – 1609 metres

GIMME A REASON – Raced roughly passing the 1400 metres for which a warning was issued. Unable to secure clear running in the home straight on the final occasion.

OUR UNCLE JIM – Post-race swab sample.

WAVETHEBILL NZ – Declared a late scratching at 10.15am as the gelding was sold.

COLLECT A DIME – Caught racing three wide in the early stages until working forward to obtain the position outside the lead passing the 1100 metres.

MICK DANGER – Stewards opened an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding MICK DANGER appearing to be checked as runners entered the home straight when racing to the outside of FAZE OF GLORY NZ and further into the circumstances surrounding his sulky appearing to be touched by Driver J Gallagher. An inquiry was adjourned to Monday 4 August 2025.

FAZE OF GLORY NZ – Pre-race blood sample. Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding FAZE OF GLORY NZ appearing to shift up the track whilst having MICK DANGER to its outside and further into the circumstances around Driver J Gallagher’s right hand appearing to make contact with the sulky of MICK DANGER. The inquiry was adjourned to Monday 4 August 2025.
